So, I am running DocRom_V9.1.4_XWJS3 with speedmod-k13a-500hz and I have this problem with some of my apps. They return to defaults after I force close them and when I re-initiate them, they act like first time running... For example, Poweramp full will forget the theme, the eq and any other setting I chose and start with the "thank you for purchasing..." dialog.
Same happens with yahoo messenger.
Anybody got an idea why this happens?

I have had this problem multiple times. Would you mind sharing how you fixed it?
I'm on Darky's 9.2 and having this issue ever since I installed it. It's pretty unnerving, specially because the apps that reset themselves are YouTube, AppBrain, Zedge and a few others...
Please share your solution.
Delete the folder of bugged apps stored in dbdata/databases then reboot.
Use root explorer btw

thank you very much, works fine now
I know a few know about the TW laincher ported to all devices but I thought Id share for those who didnt.
Mainly cause I just found it and was really excited what it did.
It adds a whole bunch of TW goodies like sounds, apps, etc.
I have it running on AOKP and love it.
so hope you enjoy it as well

I downloaded this and when i tried to use the TW launcher it kept giving me errors. It was un-usable for me. Anyone else with this issue?
I like it. Email would be nice because I have it on my tablet that is home all the time
Left feedback in the play store

Just tried this to make sure but it still loads and then says the process stopped. It could be do to my particular rom. I'm on Sprint FreeGS3 v0.1.1

Nice, kind of ironic given the often debated conversation topic between developers over whether TW development versus AOKP or CM is "original"... Now, given like that" originality, we can put a TW app add on... To make the "originals" look like the real "original"....

Is this for Jellybean, I went to the original thread and the guy said it's only for Gingerbread? As a matter of fact it didn't even say that in the first or 2nd post just the last page, that thread is missing some information.
I'm finding this do better on aosp roms

I installed a green theme tonight from one of the posts in this thread. I am presently running Darkside Evolution V8. I previously installed a red theme from the same post so I know it works, at least before. Tonight I installed the theme, flashed DS cache wipe, reboot. Phone says "android is updating" so, ok. After it reboots I get the following message (see screen shot) I click the button to try and sign in and I get the other message (screen shot) I tried rebooting, flashing Gapps, clearing data from account services. Any thoughts on why a theme would have caused that? Or maybe an underlying issue? My phone works fine btw. I can use gmail, playstore, everything. I just get that awful notification once in awhile. I Terribly annoying! Thanks so much for any help!

OK, so what your saying is that the theming and the sign in issues were just coincidence? I guess that makes sense as theming shouldn't affect your Google account in any way. Is this a recently developing issue or a known issue Google just needs to deal with? Well, thanks!

I stumbled upon an app named Greenify in the market and it seems to be quite promising. However as I have read many articles on how the android os is very good nowadays and can handle things on its own better than 3rd party interference, I am not sure if this is a good idea to put on the note 2. Any input on this?

I use it daily and it seems to work for me. Usually applications I do not open still run in the background draining battery life. This application keeps the applications from starting in the background until you open it. Try it out!
why it is so slow
That depends on what/how many apps you have installed and how much of the phones resources they're using.......
Also some third party launchers (go) are 'resource hungry' and their 'addon' themes will slow things down even more......

i tried dozens of roms no luck
I didn't mention roms.....I suggested that apps and launchers *might* be the issue.....also, are you pristine wiping your phone between flashes? Have you tried alternative kernels to boost performance?

sorry i forgot to say the phone is for my mother and yes i am not a noob or something
2 years of phones flashing experience i have xperia u
she puts just facebook and whatsapp
thats it no third party launchers no heavy programs no games nothing exept that
my old xperia play had 4 pages of heavy games and apps and no lag of course stock 2.3.4
when i was using it i tried cm10 alpha 2 and it was smooth
i was using it back in 2012
I have the same problem here.
I am using CM10 alpha 2. It's kinda slow on my phone (galaxy w)
I use no other launcher except the default launcher that i got form CM10 alpha 2. And the weird thing is, it is slow, and it's battery drain.
Mw battery drain faster after i use this rom
