the n7100 does not support 1700 band correct? i was looking around in the *#197328640# commands and noticed in debug>phone control>network control>band selection it gives you the option for wcdma 1700 is that an option that doesnt really work or could it be set to 1700 and possibly work on tmob also noticed 2100 as an option im just a noob when it comes to this so sure if it were an actual possibilty someone woud have said so by now
Unfortunately the N7100 does not support tmobile's 1700 Mhz AWS bands, the N7100 operates on the 1900 UMTS band in the U.S for tmobile for 3g. But there may be hope as there are some people in the AT&T Note 2 section that have found a way to enable AWS on the AT&T/ Rogers Note 2, and hopefully the same mod can be applied to the N7100 as they have the same chipset minus LTE support

I assume the quad core gs3 is GSM? Will it work with T-Mobile 4G HSPA+? My friend is on T-Mobile and is planning to get the gs3 off contact. He wanted me to find out if T-Mobile 4G will work with the quad core version or should he just buy the T-Mobile version instead.

It will work but you will be stuck on Edge.
I'd check what frequencies it has. I'm using a T-Mobile version on at&t and get 4g data. If the international version has T-Mobile's frequencies then it should work.

Are you getting 4g lte or hspa? I don't think t-mobile s3 can do lte

Would this work?
Tmobile uses Band (frequency): 850 MHz;900 MHz;1800 MHz;1900 MHz;UMTS: Band I (2100);UMTS: Band IV (AWS);UMTS: Band V (850)
Device Additional Information tab on that site says "Service 900, 1800, 1900, 850, 3g 2100"
But at the top of the page it says "Band:GSM 850/900/1800/1900"
T-Mobile UMTS/HSPA+ (3G/4G) mostly runs off 1700/2100 and the international model i9300 does not support the frequency we use. The quad band GSM/EDGE will work (and therefore voice/text and slow internets).
AT&T uses a more normal 850/1900 for everything but LTE, making them more "Normal" along with our Canadian neighbors.
T-Mobile is weird :-o.
If you've got access to any make of GSM based + unlocked iPhone, stick your T-Mobile SIM in it and see what speed you can get. An unlocked AT&T phone may work for testing also. We're supposed to be getting better coverage in this kinda frequency range for that but it will likely be a long time before we get sufficient coverage to enjoy a i9300.
Well put. It will be a long time before we see decent coverage for AT&T/UK phones.

Ive been looking into this but it would be good if someone can clearify this. Does the internation version N7105 note lte work in canada? Like with rogers and bell lte?

You will get HSDPA but no LTE.
Rogers and Bell LTE operates on 1700/2100 MHz AWS and N7105 has 700/2100 MHz radio.

Thats where its confusing...online on rogers site they say lte is running 2100 and 2600 and since the n7105 runs 700 and 2100 then I can get lte right? Are you sure that rogers and bell are running lte at 1700 2100? And also if n7105 has 2100 then it should be able to run lte.

It will work but not well in areas of low coverage or inside buildings. Normally the phone will switch bands depending on the situation to get the best signal. But if your phone has only 1 of the 2 bands available, it will not be able to choose optimally the best band so performance will suffer unless you are right under the cell tower.

Hi everyone, I have a question regarding the HSPA+42 capabilities of the T889. Does it only get HSPA+42 on the AWS frequency or other frequencies as well?
Hi, i think t mobiles 1900Mhz is not 42 everywhere yet.Im getting 17 mbits at my home on 1700MHz and 7Mbits on 1900Mhz.But at some places speed and signal are better on 1900Mhz mostly in areas where hspa+ on 1700 is weak - thats only my opinion. So yes i think note 2 can reach 42 on every frequency compatible with hspa+
Who do I change AWS frequency?

I think default for all 3g phones from t mobile is 1700.Even if you choose all frequencys the phone gets connected on 1700.
What are the defunct setting ??

hey guys was wondering if their is a international version of this phone? i know there is a korean version but i heard the korean version doesnt have the radio frequencies to pick h+ or 3g here in USA att or tmo.. i think i read it on engadget
The E973 is pentaband and will pickup almost all 3G frequencies anywhere, including the USA. The problem is not with 3G, but rather LTE.

Ok thanks. I've been wanting to get this phone but wasnt sure and don't want to get the USA version... so u think the best bet for me is that one?
Sent from my MI 2 using Tapatalk 2
Yeah you should be fine for 3G pretty much everywhere, the E973 supports these frequencies:
3G Network UMTS/HSPA 850 / 900 / 1800/ 1900/ 2100
4G Network AWS 700 / 1700
For a full list of frequencies world wide with all the carriers: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mobile_country_code
So I'm thinking about getting an unlocked note 8.0 from Rogers and the specs are
2G- GSM 850/900/1800/1900
3G- HSPA 850/1900/2100
4G- LTE 1700/2100
Will I get 3G / 4G with Tmobile in USA Las Vegas Nevada?
I'm in a refarmed area so the 1900 3G will work & I'm pretty sure the 4G 1700/ 2100 Will work but the store is saying it won't so I'm a little confused. Your help would be much appreciated. ..

I believe TMo's LTE band is 1700 so I'm not sure why it wouldn't work... As you pointed out, 1900 was used for hspa+
Good luck.

Yeah Tmobile's 4G is 1700/2100 & refarmed 1900 for 3G but didn't know if it's the same frequencies for Rogers 1700/ 2100. Does anyone know if the same frequencies would be the same worldwide?
