[Q] Problem with HTC Friendstream (Facebook) & Contacts

Hey Guys,
if I conect my contacts with HTC Friendstream (Facebook) ,
in note get something like that:
<HTCData><Facebook>id:100000849848114/friendof:100000101543752</Facebook></HTCData>
When I tried to delate it,it get back to notes after a few seconds.
Any Idea how to delate that ?

Hi! I think it should not be deleted, because Facebook for HTC Sense uses it to link Facebook contacts with contacts from other sources.
If you don't want it, then don't use Facebook for HTC Sense, meaning disable your Facebook for HTC Sense account in Accounts and Sync, so that it doesn't get re-added.

Yeah, but it was for 3 days the first time there.
before there wasn't it and it also worked with Facebook :O

There is a difference between the connection of contacts with Facebook for HTC sense and the normal Facebook app. I think that the normal Facebook app does not use the note field.

[Q] Sync Contacts

Currently when i select a contact in the "People" App, it says they are synced with:
Phone
Phone
Facebook
Facebook For HTC Sense
Firstly, is there anyway to delete the other "Phone" link without having to manually unlinking them?
Secondly, do i need my contacts sync all my contacts with both Facebook & Facebook for HTC Sense to get their facebook display pictures to show up and for facebook widgets to work?
& finally, is there anyway to get all my contacts to sync with google without having to re-add them all to my phone.

You can try contact analyzer which can be found in market. To find duplicate contacts.
For LAST question, you can export all your contact from your people and import them to GOogle, or you can setting up active sync.

I would suggest keeping the facebook for HTC sense sync , I tried not having that and contact pics were all blurry...makes alot of difference when you're getting a call etc.

Nope , you can keep htc sense synced and let normal facebook stay disabled thats what I do now keeps the amount of linked contacts to a minimum.

Facebook for HTC Sense doesn't work anymore?

Hi, after i got my new HTC One X (The old one had Display problem)
I can't find Facebook for HTC in Accounts & Synchronisation?!
Only the normal Facebook.
Setting the preferences back and Delete all accounts doesn't work.
How to get it back?

So completely stock and a hard reset done.
Firmware is 1.28??

In the friendsstream app....., is it there??

no worries about that.
since ICS, htc integrate (linked) their facebook for htc with original facebook app (katana).
just sign in and it will showing up on friendstream widget or app.

yes, but then when uploading a photo through gallery "share" with Facebook for HTC Sense the upload fails at 100% (every time).
on a probably unrelated note, installation of LinkedIn for HTC Sense from HTC Hub fails too

Most probably the contact is not completely sync the picture yet. It happens to mine too, after awhile the picture will appeared, no worry
Actually every since Sense 3.5, the Facebook For HTCSense is no where to be seen in the Account. Everything is done via official FB, but you still hv the function of uploading a picture via FB for HTCSense, and it works for me everything. Benefit of this is it allows you to tag ppl in picture but the official FB lack of this function

Same for me! I had to re-link some of my contacts manually...
It took at least 30mins.

Login and Passwords
In response to enyaj, may not help the OP.
Wow I have been having the same problem for some time now (FB for HTC Sense not linking up profile pics with contacts), and my wifes phone would always error on photo uploads) figured out that I changed the FB password awhile back to prevent a possible hacking video issue. If you change your password on FB and use FB for HTC Sense, you must go into: Menu> Settings> Acctounts & Sync. Then delete your FB for HTC Sense account. Then just add account (bottom of screen) FB for HTC Sense and login with the correct email and password. Bam all my contacts pictures sync'd with their FB profile pics, status updates and such are working also. Hope this helps.

I got the same issue .. and after googleing .. I found out that I have to unistall Facebook update ..delete my FB account from Account$Syncing in the settings .. and make a restart,, then add My FB again in Account&Syncing ..

how can i add twitter account into friendstream? there are only facebook and flickr

Go settings - Accounts & sync - add - Twitter for HTC Sense

You have to download it first. You can get it on the HTC Hub.

[Q] Facebook and HTC Sense Facebook

Hi... There are 2 ways to post status on Facebook... one is by normal facebook application, and the other is Facebook of HTC Sense...
I guess they are the same applications, but the interface is different.
My problem is when I post status using Facebook, the posts are public... whereas while posting thru Facebook of HTC Sense, the posts are private within my frnd circle.
Is dere anyway by which I can change the privacy settings of Facebook of HTC Sense so that posts made thru it are public? I cudnt see any option like that.

The posts are public when you post something through Facebook?
Not with my case. Both are same, but when I post something using 'Facebook for HTC Sense' my photos get uploaded in the mobile uploads album whereas when I upload photos using the Facebook app, the get uploaded in the wall photos album.
