Best buy price match for note 2 - Sprint Samsung Galaxy Note II

Was wondering if anyone on here has printed out from amazon wireless or walmart.com and taken it to best buy to get a price match when activating a new line. Just wanna see if their are some tips before i head over to best buy and see that would do a price match.

i did the pricematch on an upgrade line... not too hard.

i did this also. best buy price matched the 149 new line note on amazon as an upgrade. when it dropped to 99, i just took the print out back in and they gave me a 50 dollar gift card since i was within my return period.

Yeah im about to take a print out of the amazon wireless into bestbuy, i had only christmas money to play with to buy a phone and i went with the optimus G... but if i can get a price match for amazon wireless i would be happy to fork up an extra 70 bucks for the note 2... should i call around first or actually go into a best buy?

It was very subjective at the two Best Buys I talked to before. Try calling and make sure you get the name.
The second store was going to price match but then could not because I was on SERO.

I did And got it for 149.99 If its on backorder Then theyWill only do it for 199.99

They can price match the note because amazon is the seller not a third party store. The guy I talk too at first said no because the note could not be bought of the moble version of the website. I told him he had to go to the full site to buy the phone by pressing on the hyperlink. It is amazing a phone rep did not his brower could veiw full sites. I got the price match rate at 149 on monday. It went up to 249 the next day.

I walked in and told them I wanted to return the phone. They asked why. I told them it was 1/2 price on Amazon. They looked it up and refunded me the $150 + tax.

I took advantage of it and got the note 2 for 49.99 and t the galaxy s3 for a penny by price matching Amazon. The mobile stores won't if they are back ordered, but the big box store gave me no trouble an hour later.

So an update, just got back and ended up getting it for $139.99... i guess the chick i talked to thought it was a new line when it was an add a line... so with my return of the optimus g and the case... i ended up paying around $20 bucks... pretty smooth transaction with no questions asked besides why i was switching

note 2
so can anybody help me out i have a upgrade and i won't to get the phone and price match it at best buy. but i just check the amazon wireless website and as i can see all the prices went back up to 250 even for a new line. Im just trying to get the note 2 for a great deal.

so you was able to use your upgrade and get the note 2 for the price listed for a new line

I printed out the page when amazon had the note 2 for $99 went to best buy and ended up upgrading two lines at the new customer price.

I would just go in. If at first they deny then ask for a manager. If in the end it doesn't work then call the 1800 number. Their policy right now is to price match online retailers. They have to honor it. Unless the policy just ended since the holidays are over.

With this phone you been never have too many accessories. Gotta protect it due to its plastic body..That's the only complaint I have.

[Q] Found Note 2 for $224.99

I found the Note 2 for $224.99 on amazon.com but it's Sprint but would BestBuy price mach that with the AT&T version?
Doubt it. When they say advertised price, they expect you to bring in an ad (such as a newspaper). Good luck if you try anyway.

I do know they price match amazon just not sure if its the device itself or if it is specified by carrier. My friend just went into Best Buy and got the LG Optimus G for $99.99 because of the amazon price match.
I got my Note II for $199 @ Best Buy by brice matching Amazon Wireless AT&T version. Even though it was out of stock!
Depends on the rep, some will do, some will BS "We Don't price match online stores, blah blah blah"
Try different locations, that's what I did to get mine, didn't even bring a print out, they actually checked it for me!
Good luck

Bought my Note II at Best Buy for $240 when they were running the sale. Went back about 15 or 16 days later and they price-matched the Amazon price for AT&T at $199, refunding the difference.
I've always been wary of purchasing phones from non-carrier stores, but I've had an excellent experience with Best Buy so far; much better than I've had dealing directly with various carriers over the years.
Best Buy price matched the Amazon Wireless amount of 174. 99 for me without even looking at what carrier the phone was specified as using or if it was in stock. It is definitely worth a shot.
Does anybody have the link for the Note 2 for under $200.00? I did look but the lowest was for $249.99.
I got mine at bby with a price match to amazon at $225. The online price match policy says that it must be readily available. Does not specify "in stock". Amazon ship time was 1 week. Just be firm and calm. Fighting and yelling won't get you anywhere.

Good stuff! I'm going to go to BestBuy today to see if they will price match at least that $225.00 if not I may lean towards the LG Optimus G...
wow... amazon doesnt even have the white gn2 listed anymore. glad i did it when i did
Everyone has a success story; making me wish i did that. Doesn't hurt to try. Last time i tried that they have me the run around, so i assumed. Definitely worth a shot though. Good luck.

Note 2 at Best Buy

Just wanted to let you guys know most of the BB stores in my area had the phone in stock as of yesterday while none of the AT&T stores had any inventory.
They price matched Amazon wireless' price of $249 which is always nice. Also another advantage to some is that you can purchase a protection plan for $10 month, which is a lot easier to deal with than the carriers' 3rd party insurance providers.
YMMV on the price match but there's no real reason they wouldn't. Good luck guys!

Nice find as I did the same myself. They only had it in white where I went. They will price match it. There website says so. For new customers who want a white one, amazon is selling it for $174.99. Bb will honor that as well.

Nice! Which reminds me, unlike the AT&T store if the price drops even more within the 30 day return window (probably will with Christmas around the corner) I can take my receipt back to BB for another price match and get real money back, instead of credit towards a future bill (how AT&T handles price adjustments).

I just got the Note 2 today as an upgrade for $174.99 with Amazon Wireless price match. The White one goes for $174.99 while the Titanium Grey goes for $249.00 for a new line only.
Shocked that I got the adding a new line discount price instead of the higher upgrading a line price.
I went to the store when it was very busy and the employees were somewhat overwhelmed.
I will use the savings to buy the smart dock or the Otterbox.

Did you do an upgrade at AT&T? or new line?
I got an early upgrade from AT&T so I never really thought of trying to price match as they shipped me the phone. I sold my Iphone 4 for $200 on craigslist . So, I ended up only paying $100. I really wish I Got the white one though, my GF has a white GS3 and didn't want to seem....feminine. But, after having my grey one, I wouldn't mind it.

NOTE 2 $135 @ eBAY BestBuy Mobile Solutions

$179.99 + 25% off promo code HOLIDAY25 = $134.99 with 2 year agreement. https://ebay.bbymsolutions.com/deta...-ii-4g-mobile-phone-marble-white-sprint-/2519 -- got mine today with a store pick-up !!!
I guess this is only for new customers... upgrades price is $349!!! Wouldn't it be cheaper for me to get it in the store!?!?!
Great price for a new customer though!!! Just wish it was the same price for upgrades too!
For new customers. Where's the love for existing lol?

yea that sure does suck... using the 25% promo code drops it to $262.50. I had recently upgraded both my lines for the GS3 and the EVO LTE... added a third line to get the NOTE 2 at the awesome price. Looks like the HOLIDAY25 promo code is good through the 18th.
I was wondering if I could add a line and get the note 2 and transfer a number from my existing family plan over to the note 2. Would that cancel that line out and just get replaced with the note. Just curious cause I got a phone that I'm kind of tired of.

that's what i did ... i had the GS3, got the NOTE 2, did an ESN swap where my number is now on the NOTE 2 and the new number is on the other. It does not cancel it out. Still gots to pay for that line per month. 19.99 per month for the third line, 10.00 if its a smart phone, and any insurance you might decide to go with.
Insane price especially add a line....

Yep! I bought mines almost two weeks ago from the local Best Buy store and got the Note II price matched to Amazon Wirelsss at $240 and the SIII for my wife at $50.
Last week I saw that Amazon dropped the new customer price online to $149.99 so I went to the store to get my price match guarantee.
Now yesterday I saw that the SIII is now $0.01 for new customers and the Note II is $99.99. I went back to the store and got price matched again before my grace period ran out this Wed.
In the end, I got the Note II for $99.99 and my wife's SIII for $0.01, I am one happy camper!
I went to best buy and got sprint, they did priced match with amazon..so i only paid 150 for gn2 with new plan.

If you got it recently, I would suggest you go back with a print out from the Amazon wireless webpage so you can get 50 bucks back with their price guarantee policy (http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Payment...ee/pcmcat204400050011.c?id=pcmcat204400050011). It's the holidays so im guessing we can all use as much extra cash as possible.

[Q] What is the best deal for Note 2

So I am up for a upgrade next week on the 18th and I really wanted to upgrade from the Skyrocket to the Note II. I want to try to find the best deal, because at the current $300 I don't think I would be able to get it. A month or so ago a couple people had luck getting Best Buy to price match the $99 Amazon Wireless price for the Note II on Sprint.. for a upgrade on AT&T. I have no idea how they got it to go through but someone even posted a copy of his receipt from Best Buy. Last week I called about 20 times trying to get a discount from AT&T customer service, since people had luck with them as well, but that failed. So I went down to Best Buy and they wouldn't do it either, even with the copy of the receipt. I just read about the $200 deal from Best Buy for the previous weekend and it sucks because people were able to get these great deals, and now that my upgrade is actually here I am going to miss out. Anyway, now that my rant is over, I was wondering if there are certain things people say or tricks that allow them to get places like Best Buy to lower prices that much and if I would be able to get a great deal next week.
Thanks.

Really.... I saw that a couple people posted about success at BB with price matching sprint but when I went in they said its for sprint and they won't price match for att. Currently there is a deal going on at BB that they give you $50 rewards points. Also RadioShack has note 2 upgrade for $200 so hopefully I can get BB to price match and then get the $50 off and get the note for $150.
But I would still like to get the $99 price match.. do you still have your receipt from when you got yours?

just take your phone in with the newline price already loaded on the page. i doubt they will check in to it too much.
they pricematched me for 149 on an upgrade that clearly said new line on the ad. the guy didnt care. i went back in two weeks later with a new print out showing 99 bucks and they refunded 50 dollars to my credit card.

Austin got lucky. I just left BB about an hour ago activating 2 new Note 2's and they price matched Amazon at the $199.99 but they pulled it up on their own computers. I tried to show them my phone but said they had it. Plus they informed me that this is the last month that they will be price matching cellphones. Don't know how true, but both the girls at the station made sure they let me know.
Re: [Q] Cheapest UPGRADE price
I brought in a print out of the web page with a time stamp on the bottom. They were able to price match my phone. This is a hit or miss thing tho. I knew the supervisor of the mobile department and he explained to me that its at the discretion of the supervisor. He also said the reason why some bestbuys would not price match was because of the extra cancelation fees some sites have. Not sure why it would make a difference but thats what he told me.
Edit: got it for $169
