[Q] nandroid custom rom unlock BL to Backup locked Bootloader - Sony Xperia S, Acro S, Ion

Hi guys,
at the moment i use my xperia s with the xtx7 rom on locked bootloader because i want to have the bravia engine back.
Now i want to flash an other rom using an unlocked bootloader. But before i have backed up my xtx7 rom using online nandroid backup.
My question is now. Is there any way to use the backup when i am on the rom with the unlocked bootloader to get back to my xtx rom with locked bootloader?
Sorry for my bad english
Okay i cant do a backup with locked bootloader ... the app cannot acquire root permission... but the pop up from supersu for granting root access works ...

[Q] CWM Backups

Hey guys!
I've a question.
Finally I've decided to unlock my bootloader.
Now I'm using stock rom, .42 firmware, -56 baseband, deleted bloatware, V6 Supercharger, CWM Recovery, etc.
So, if I unlock my bootloader, flash custom kernel/ROM, etc., I'll lose all data, this is clear.
But I'm already using CWM for locked BL, so when I flash a custom kernel, there is always a CWM Recovery installed, right?
And in that CWM could I use my current backups from CWM for locked BL?
Nope, CWM wont make a Backup of the Bootloader's Lock/Unlock Status.
P.S - I maybe wrong.
Yes, Backups are still there.
Thanks.

[Q] How to backup my stock rom

I just got my Arc S, and i want to check out few different custom roms. I was planing on rooting the device with Easy rooting toolkit, so the question is, how can i backup my stock rom and reflash it, if i ever need it for warranty issues? (Also maybe to get the official 4.0 update next year )
On my previous phone (HTC Desire) it was pretty easy, by restoring the Nandroid backup that i created after rooting the device. How about the Xperia? Is there something similar?
And while we are here, any suggestion for some stable custom roms for the Arc S? Thanks
If you only want to root your device, you can simply unroot the device.
But you don't really have to, when you update your device using PCC or SEUS, the root is gone.

If you decide to unlock your bootloader to flash custom kernels/ROMs, you have to relock it, when you want to update your firmware using PCC or SEUS.

And which custom ROM you like is your decision, but I'm still a CM7 fan.
I have root, if I want to return to stock ROM (without root) I can just use SEUS to update my phone and the root is gone?

If your bootloader is locked yes.
I rooted my arc with EasyRooting toolkit,
How do I know if my bootloader is locked or not?
Edit: I checked by the service info, it says
Rooting status:
Bootloader unlock allowed: No
I am guessing that means my bootloader is locked?

Yes, it is.
And if you root, it doesn't, mean you've a unlocked BL.
Btw, you can't unlock your BL using the official method.
If you still want to unlock your BL, contact Jinx13.

[Q] Unlocking with Cyanogenmod 10.1

I'll be going on a trip to China soon and I need to unlock my phone. I have tried unlocking my phone with the help of this post, but unfortunately it didn't work out. I read that I need to be using the stock rom for the unlock method to work.
My question is: if I unlocked my phone on the stock ROM and then restored to a backup with Clockworkmod, would my phone still be unlocked?
Also does anyone have a link to good stock based ROM that I can use to unlock my phone?
Any stock based Rom will do it, even the plain rooted stockones. And once it's unlocked, it stays that way until you relock it. Flashing a Rom shouldn't cause you to relock

[Q] Bravia Engine

Dear members of XDA!
A few quick questions here:
If my bootloader remains locked from stock:
1. and I downgrade to a previous stock android version rather than 4.4, will I lose BE?
2. if I do lose it, and then flash the last stock version, will I recover it?
If my bootloader was unlocked, I know that I should lose BE, BUT:
3. if I install a custom rom, don't like it, go back to the latest stock, and after everything's finished, relock the bootloader, will I recover the BE?
Thanks in advance!
1.nope
2.you will lose only if you unlock BL.
3.if u have TA backup, you can relock BL and recover BE by flashing stock ROM and restore TA.

I got the lollipop 14.5.A.0.242 tft file, can I make a pre-rooted lollipop for this region:
Xperia Z1 compact D5503_14.5.A.0.242_R1D_Customized MEA 1279-5365.tft
???
or any detailed simple way to root lollipop? "newbie"
I am stuck here and I want to move my data from another device using Titanium backup, this is way I need the root access...
any help would be appreciated..
thanks in advance..
I unlocked my bootloader(knowing I have TA backup) and used this method to root.
Then I restore my TA partition I backed up when I was still on rooted kitkat.
Working well, rooted and locked bootloader
