Does anyone have a zip or apk to install Ad Blocking Host file such as the ones found in CleanRom by Scrosler?

Try AdAway app free in the play store.
Something Experimental...

I would recommend ad free, and I just started using ad block plus both of them are available in the play store.
Ad free by BigTinCan seems to be only for app ad blocking while ad block plus I think works for both apps and browsers.

[Q] Pandora in Canada?

Has anyone in Canada been able to get it to download and work?
I know it's not available in Canada but surely there has to be some work around

Subscribe to a service like unblock us or unotelly. I am currently using unotelly. Their are many other VPN and dns services available to get pandora, US Netflix, amazon instant, Hulu plus, spotify.
I subscribe to unblock-us and it's set up on my phone. I put in my us sim to download the app and now I'm just fighting to get it set up lol

Are you doing it on wifi or the mobile network? Im guessing your just having problems downloading the app. Use an app like market enabler to change your location to allow you to download pandora.

Adfree

Anyone know where I can download a copy of adfree ?

Google search for FDROID. That appstore carries Adaway, Adfree etc. My personal experience is Adaway is better than Adfree in blocking ads.

As mentioned above my choice would be Adaway but here are both so you can pick whichever one you want to use. Just install like any other apk.
Google search adaway.....it was once inside the play store.....suddenly took away from it.....
Download new version and apply ad block....

Strange problem

Am currently running Phoenix rom 15.7 and for some strange reason the xda app keeps uninstalling itself. I thought the app clean master might be responsible but no other app gets uninstalled. Any ideas anyone? Its not exactly a life or death problem but just curious as to what is doing it!
Thanks in advance!

Have you sideloaded it??I mean have you downloaded it from another source and installed it thereafter.
If yes,go to settings, general, security and untick verify apps.
Also note that downloading a paid app without paying is considered a warez and is strictly against the policy of xda.

Why would I pirate a free app? No its from play store. I am also aware of xda's stance regarding warez.

Uninstall the previous installed app. Before uninstalling delete all data from the app. Cheers

Bro,I am not accusing you or anything.I just brought it up because there are two types of XDA apps available, one is free and one is premium/paid one.
All in all as you have downloaded it from play store then I think its a strange issue.

|Q| bypass play store restriction?

Is there a way to bypass "this app isn't compatible with your device" on the play store? I tried am exposed module, clearing caches for play store and play services and market helper to no avail. I'm in cm11.

There are a couple modded play stores floating around. It all depends on what exactly is preventing you from downloading the app. Developers have the option to limit based off device, carrier, dpi, and country.
