Hello,
I am new to this and would be very greatful for some help. I would like to root my epic but can't seem to find any current root files. I have looked all over the fourm but everything seems to be old and I don't want to brick my phone with the wrong files. If anyone knows of a current root file that would be very helpful. Thank you in advanced for any help.

KERNEL-2.6.35.7

First of all you are in the wrong section, but concerning your problem...check out qbking77 on youtube, his videos are VERY helpful

Then get a Superuser package (androidsu.com)
Flash that in CWM

Is anyone working on how to root the 2.3.3, if there is a way would somebody help me. I tried unrevoked 3 and it says there is no way to root my new evo as of now.

Root for 4.24 ota with hboot 2.16 has not been accomplished. In the meantime you can peruse the thread in my signature. The one about being unrooted.

Or you could have read the rules and did a search first before starting a new post and clogging up the boards and found about 100 threads answering your question. Just my 2 cents. Helping out the newbies.

Yep...thinking about keeping that list of topics in a txt doc because we will be answering the same question over and over again forever.
How do i update synergy mod or should i just leave it how it is or do i need to update something else. Please help i am a noob. Thanks.

You update it like you would flash any other rom. Download the updated rom zip file, put on sd card, boot into recovery, wipe data, cache, and dalvik, then flash the zip.
How is telling someone to read and follow the rules being a ****, and I did answer his question synergy hasn't been updated, most ppl wouldn't have even done that they would have just posted "cool story" or "search" which search is your friend along with following rules notice everyone has ignored the thread and not responded, because this is posted in the wrong section idk y it was even bumped back to the top today

And you need to relax Mr. 32 post the dudes not using his resources to find things reading and searching ain't hard I jus googled what this guy was lookin for and it took me 3 tries before I found what he was looking for.

Open GooManager, Browse compatible ROM > Choose and download suitable roms then sselect Flash ROMs > Add zip from another location > select your Goomanager folder > Select your downloaded rom > Order & Flash selected

LOL, okay for one don't get pissy around here, especially to someone that has far more experience with the site than you do.. That's very frowned upon at xda. Yes you are a noob, and in the video it said do not click the new thread button unless what you are asking cannot be found in a thread that already exists, and if the thread doesn't directly answer your question, don't make a new thread. Ask the damn question in a thread that already exists or pm a member that looks like they know what they are doing. But do NOT make a new thread unless it is absolutely necessary. You have no idea how many threads like this are being made that do not need to be made. We are getting sick of them. All it takes is a few minutes of looking around. Hell whenever you named this thread when you first created it the search system showed you similar threads that have already been made.
Use the search system.
Look around.
Don't click the new thread button unless you are 100% sure that there are no threads that answer your question.
EDIT : Also, DO NOT make stupid threads, like how do I use XXX's toolkit or something like that. The xda community will not spoon feed noobs. You guys have to learn like we did. Trial and error. Trust me. Once you learn how to use things without having to ask questions you will feel better.

Hello all,
I am new to posting questions here (normally just read through until I find my answer) and I am sure I am breaking every rule there is about posting questions and I am sorry. I have spent and way to much time trying to find a walkthrough to flash my samsung galaxy s3 to boost(with absolutely zero success) Is there anyone that has a walkthrough that includes directions for an intermidiate flasher. Thanks in advanced and Sorry for bothering everyone
I don't know if you'll find a guide, but changing a phone to a different provider now is illegal. Technically would be against forum rules.
Just use the search option and see if any guides pop up

Yeah it does, you always need a donor so that you can pull the necessary info off of it and onto the phone you're flashing

I've tried many different ROMs but would like to try king droid on my n2 but the all the links I find seem to be dead ends or in a language I don't understand. Would someone be able to point me in the direction of a working link...
I have searched the forums and I am in able to find any help on this matter. So have started a new thread .. sorry if there is a thread out there about this..
