replace the lcd
Hi all! I know there're several topics about stuck pixels but my problem is a bit different.
Today I got this phone from a friend and now I've noticed there's a cluster of stuck pixels on the screen (only in black background) - very small dots (like dust) in green, blue and red colors.
Here's a photo of another One V with the same problem, I found it on the net, don't know if it's a common problem.
I've tried different repairing software without any success.
Otherwise screen is working properly and there aren't any functional problems, but these pixels are just irritating.
And I don't know if I continue using it in this condition, stuck pixels won't become more and more...
Anyone faced the same problem? I hope there's another solution except changing the screen.
That is a broken LCD. Needs repair.
Please ask all questions in the Q&A section. Thread moved there.

What kind of repair do you mean? Replace the whole screen or what?
give it to the htc care, they'll replace the display unit
I have no warranty, I bought it used as I said, so if I have to pay for screen replacing, this phone will become more expensive than a new one.
Could it get worse if I continue using it in this condition?
Dude open it ur self if u can or take it to there u can't do.anything externally off its hardware problem

Hi Guys,
Today I woke up to my HTC One X having an orange mark at the top of the screen, that won't go away. I left my phone charging overnight, but I don't think it overheated as it seems cool to the touch. I attached some photos to show what it looks like. Could you guys please tell me what this mark is and what I should do about it?
Thanks in advance,

Sent from my HTC One X
Thanks, I will try that tonight. The colour seems to have faded a bit though
I had my HTC One X for about a year until a few months ago when the touch screen slowly stopped responding. The bottom half of the screen would not work when all of the sudden the whole screen turned into this rainbow static. My mom read somewhere online that if you twist the top and bottom of the phone slightly you could fix it. So i did. And it worked until i twisted too hard and shattered the screen! So I bought a new screen and sent it to get fixed by a local computer repair guy. He replaced the screen and digitizer but the rainbow static is still there. I've already bought the new HTC One, but I'd really like to be able to get my pictures off of the old One X (you can't see the screen to put it into usb mode, nor can you do it blindly). Is there a solution for this problem?
I will post a picture if it's helpful.

well i think its the problem with your nvidia chip :/ not actually sure about it but maybe..and when i plug my phone into usb cable it automatically shows your htc one x as a portable multimedia player as shown in the attachment so u can easily access it and take any of your personal data from it

I didn't have the device set for usb mode before it broke, so when i plug it in it just treats the phone as if it's charging I can't change the mode without being able to see the screen.
Thank you anyways!
Hi everybody, I replaced the microphone of my HTC One m8 but now the upper half of my screen is unresponsive, Can it be a software issue ? Thanks everybody
