Hi my gt7100 has an issue when the stock alarm doesn't go off half the time. It just doesn't work. The volume is maxed, all days of the week and repeat is on too....
I have alarm droid pro but I use a lock screen so it doesn't go off until I log in.
What is up with my phone??

its to do with lock screen widgets from my experience. if you use winamp or some of the other music apps with lockscreen widgets, they cancel out the alarm when the screen goes on.
the only music players with lock screen widgets that dont cancel out the alarm that i know of are poweramp and google play music.
not too sure about other widgets.
Only use power amp and I don't think I have any lock screen widgets. I have battery widget pro and switch pro widget if that means anything??

Is there anyway to have the music player show on the lock screen? It becomes easier to change tracks on the lock screen rather than unlocking the phone every time i want to skip to the next track.

I've been trying to find out a way to do this too to no avail. Already went through all the settings. I guess poweramp is the next best thing.

Not that it really makes it any easier, unless your device is protected with a lock screen password, but you can pull down the notification menu and change track there.

Poweramp have this option. You can set the lockscreen widget. It's awsome
Widget Locker will let you put any widget on your lock screen.
Thanks:thumbup:

Hi,
I recently flashed my phone to the stock FK23 JB rom, and I'm liking all of the added features after coming from GB. However, the one thing I do not like and can't seem to figure out is this: On GB, I had the digital clock widget on my home screen that when tapped, would open the alarm/timer/stopwatch utility.
Why doesn't this behavior work in JB???? Sure, if I put a shortcut to the Clock app on one of the home screens, I can click that to get to the alarm. But why can't I use the digital (or analog for that matter) widget as a shortcut to the alarms anymore???? I don't want a shortcut to the clock or alarm on my home screen, and I don't want to have to make more than one tap or gesture to access the alarm. I want a one-tap solution to access the alarms, as I set and reset multiple alarms throughout the day.
Can someone tell me if there is something I'm missing here? Why was this feature removed, or how can I restore it? I liked having the digital clock widget act as a shortcut to the alarms. And honestly without this functionality, the digital clock is pointless because the time is already in the status bar.
Someone please enlighten me! Thank you!
Tap the clock in the pull down it will take u to your alarm

I assume you mean in the notification pane? When I pull down the notification pane and tap the clock in the upper left, it takes me to a 'World Clock' popup - not the alarm.
And for the record, tapping the clock in the status bar does nothing.
Any other ideas? Why was this feature removed???
There should be a widget called "Alarm" or "simple alarm clock" widget.
When world clock pops up touch it again it opens the entire clock with alarm and everything

Or get the Go Weather app and add the 4x2 widget, tap the clock and you get access to alarm, world clock, stop watch and timer.
Thanks for the replies, guys. But I was really wanting to have a 1-tap access directly to the alarm clock, without using a 3rd party app.
For the notification clock tap idea, that takes (1) a swipe to bring down the notification pane (2) a tap on the clock (3) a tap on the world clock popup (4) a tap on the Alarm tab -- way too many taps.
If I had to use a 3rd party app, I'd probably go with something with the HTC Sense design, but I have yet to find one that will take me to the Alarm. I still don't understand why the native clock widgets in Jellybean do not link to the clock app.

Fancy widget has tons of themes and you can set different areas of the widget to go different places like hour takes you to alarm by default but ive redirected mine to alarm clock plus since I use it over stock.

This is pretty much exactly what I was looking for. I like the added ability to one-tap the weather to get the forecast as well. And I do believe you can download (a limited set of) themes from within the free app. Thanks again!

Cool! I haven't used the free version since I got the key as free app of the day like 20 months ago or so. It was back towards the later half of 2011 when I scored it free on amazon. I actually ended up purchasing it from the play store later after I screwed up my old amazon account.

Hi, just want to know how many of you guys feel that lockscreen widgets are useful and use them. I have never used them till now. Let us know.
Personally, I use dash clock widget with a bunch of extensions. Most of the info I like is all on 1 widget. Missed calls, texts, Google voice mails, weather, battery, BBS, gmail and a few others. As far as other widgets go I also use Google sound search as well as the "my work clock" widget. I can punch in and out without unlocking the phone. Quick and easy:thumbup:
That's really all I use but it all comes in handy I think.
i only use the origin clock

Just use the clock...

I have one, and it's the camera. I find lock screen widgets annoying.
I never got the utility of the lockscreen in the first place. If your phone is not password/pin/whatever locked, why would you want to touch the screen 1-2 times more just to get to the main screen with all your usual apps/widgets or to the full menu?
And all the info you could put on your lockscreen, you can put on your main screen in a better, more personalized way.
I tried a few times to use a lockscreen (a total of a few weeks over the last 2.5 years), but I always deactivated it after a few days.
Just my 2 cents.
i only use them by accident and that suxx. me wants them gone for good

Dashclock is basically what the lock screen should be all about - an extendable piece of quick info.
I just use dashclock and poweramp. I tried to use calculator but when i was using it the screen turned off everytime. So i gave up.

I guess most of them thinks it's useless. Even I feel the same. I don't understand why Google introduced it.
Probably because they needed to ship some features with the N4 and didn't have much else to present. The whole 4.2 series looks like a cherry picked filler between the JB and next major release.

I use Dashclock, the stock camera widget, and a flashlight widget on a regular basis. The lock screen widget feature certainly isn't groundbreaking or anything and it does seem like a bit of an after thought (for example, Dashclock is what the stock clock widget should have been as others have mentioned). I do like the idea and see it as a quick intuitive way for getting to things quickly without having to unlock your phone first. Sure you had the shortcuts on the lockscreen before that would take you directly to the camera and what not but with the lock screen widgets the operation seems a little faster, more stream lined and fluid.
Really though, I don't see why you would want more than 3 lock screen widgets. There is the main home page one that you see whenever you wake up the phone, which most people have either the stock clock widget or Dashclock and is therefore mostly for informational purposes (do you have any new emails, text messages, time/date, battery percentage, etc). Then from there you can swipe to the left or the right to easily get to the other two widgets which are more functional in the sense that you can interact with them (camera, calculator, flashlight, etc.). If you have a 4th one you have to swipe a second time and at that point you have to wonder "why not just unlock the phone in the first place".
i just hate them i use pattern lock and while i try to unlock the screen moves arrfgghh thts soo fukn irritating :banghead::banghead::banghead:

I used to disable them with Lockscreen Policy, then I started using Dashclock.
After the new software update when I'm playing music on my phone, and I want to change the music from my lockscreen it no longer shows up (I can't fastforward or pause) I've tried disabling my pebble, and I've tried turning off everything in accessibility
Did it do it from play music and using the widget lockscreen?

No, I mean, there's a setting in security where you can control music from the lockscreen
Just gone back to stock music player from power amp as I really think it sounds better. But... I can't find a widget! Is there another recommended music player widget I can use?
Same here. I tried zopper widgets but it behaves strange with my launcher. I now use lock screen or the player in notification

Found Jack's music widget which seems fine but not keen on the ram it uses, will try adjusting power amp (again)
