Hello to the whole community!
I do not know where this post would go, but moderators can move it if they want!
I have read most of the forum to know how to be root in Samsung Galaxy S5 SM-G900I (sm-g900i), but I've got a bit dizzy since there are many ways and being a rookie in the subject I'm afraid of making a mistake!
Sorry for the bad hortography, I use translators since my English is not fluent, and my true language is Spanish.
The thing is that I want to be root and I would like it if you can tell me the best way possible. :fingers-crossed:
Next I pass the characteristics of my cell phone:

Hi,
I have an old head unit, xtrons I think (?)
MCU version:
MTCD_GS_V1.34_1
Mar 14 2016
Android
5.1.1
Kernel version:
3.0.101+
root[at]chun #161
Build number:

It's very slow.
What updates should I be doing, and in which order. Seems a shame to bin this, but there must upgrades available?
Many thanks.
Hi All,

If it is, can someone please send a guide and the needed image/software to upgrade my Multimedia system?
Thanks!
Yes, that should be possible. I am also new to all this but I managed.
The latest version appears to be 2.74, which you can find here.
Backup your Factory settings. The password should be 126. If it's not try searching the forum. There are like 3 or 4 possible passwords to enter the factory settings. Once you managed to enter export the configuration. Or take picture of every sub menu. Just in case the setting will get overwritten.
I think the USB drive has to be FAT16 formatted but I am not sure about that. Maybe check out Alex's Android Radio channel on youtube. He also does videos in English.
