S3 not much better than S2???? You decide ....

Got my (blue) S3 yesterday, and I'm sending it back and sticking with my S2. It's too big and too ugly. I think a lot of people are going to have a shock when they see the bright purple menu button for the first time. And the overall the shape is just too rounded, which makes it unnecessarily larger at the sides. Screen is great, but other Incremental improvements over the S2 just don't swing the extra £15/ mo cost for me

Do believe there is a thread for S3 talk....just saying.....
...on the other hand, the rounded edges...just have to get use to that cuz of what Apple is trying to do

Also not too many places they have Lte in comparison to WiMAX.

Just bought two white ones today as well.. Out of contract too.. EEEEEK! Selling my Note and Sii.. So far, pretty happy..

Loving the hell outta mine... had to put it in an otterbox case though... too slippery in my hand. Georgeous display compared to my SGS 2
- SGS 3 AT&T, and loving it!

havent heard of it it, but i can honestly say this is the BEST phone ive ever had, or used:good:

I've had a galaxy note, one x, many iPhones, lumias, and galaxy nexus and I love the stock gs3 over them all so far. The one x screen imo is more real color and I do like that phone still. The note was a beauty but to laggy and large. Nexus camera was poop and iphone needs bigger screen

The GS3 is hands down the best phone period. I just got it a day ago and I have had a LG Thrill, iPhone, and Blackberry and this phone beats all of them hands down. Its not even close.

Had my S3 for a week and a day now. Love it. Upgraded from a Motorola Atrix 4G. Just received the TPU case that i ordered on Amazon yesterday, and made it even better. A little less slippery-ness is nice, and doesn't add much bulk to the phone..... and $6 is just fantastic. Really don't see why people are so obsessed with buying OtterBox's and stuff like that. Yea, cheapy TPU cases may not be the prettiest... or offer the UTMOST protection... but then again... i can't remember the last time i really dropped my phone.
Really not sure if i want to install the builds of CM10 that are floating around... or if i wanna just keep it stock and wait for Samsung's version of JB. Already have mine rooted and CWM installed, though...

Note 2 coming to 5 big boys in november

Anyone care? I will be sticking to the GS3 because the size is just where I like it anything biger would probably be too much...

Take it from me you'll get use to it fairly easy, and whoever said they couldn't fit a note in their pocket is lying, I normally wear skinny jeans and never had a issue with the original note. Only thing I will say is that it will look fairly ridiculous holding it up to your ear to talk, but I've never been one to worry about what people say or think, and I got plenty of compliments about the phone on a daily basis while commuting in the city.

im very interested in this and conflicted on what to do...
i never even held the original note, but i dont mind the bigger size at all... the more the better to me, and with those specs, wooooo...
might have to hold onto one in the store before deciding what to do...

One thing I'm looking forward to is the stylus, I haven't had one since the touch pro 2, I liked it a lot. Less fingerprints, but I don't like how it's on the Bottom? why would they make it come out of the bottom, it's going to wear out and simply fall out eventually... kinda stupid but whatever...

Yup, I'll be selling my S2 and S3 to pick one up as soon as they come out!

theres no way you got that note in your pocket pic please lol . I tried putting the old note in my front pockets and it wasn't even close, i barely can get my wallet in my front pockets i don't see you getting it in the there, that phone is big. I'm talking about not hanging out your pockets about to fall . I'll be getting the note 2 + man purse i was getting a nexus 7 until i saw a new note with quad core heading this way.

Stylus pen for GS3

Hey gang, this may be a dumb question but I was wondering if I buy a stylus pen would it work for the GS3? the thing is that I wanted to get the GN2 but not enough money. I draw a lot and saw the capabilities of having this feature on the GN2 so I was wondering if I get a pen would it work for the GS3.

Have you googled it? I'm sure if it is capable it will be searchable.

Any stylus pen will work. You can buy them for about a couple of bucks from amazon.
Better yet Samsung make special pen just for galaxy s3 called "C pen". It has smaller tip like S-pen for G-note. It's $30 but if you register with Samsung, they will send you 50% off coupon.. But you can get from amazon too for $15.. Here is the search result link. Also Samsung link...

+1. Its not ideal unless the app you are using support fine line pen width like in sketch app.. But I still use stylus to keep my screen clean because I work with oil..

Thanks everybody. I even tried to take my GS3 back after a month to trade with the GN2 but no can do. I will try out the C-Pen and hopefully that'll work.
Its just that I draw a lot and especially in my anatomy class. I use those pictures to study while I'm at work. I wish I got the GN2. I got the GS3 because it was on sale, dang it. But I still love my GS3. Best phone for me coming off the Thunderbolt.

You should read some of the reviews on YouTube and Amazon before you plunk money into it. The general consensus is that it isn't very good especially for the price paid.

Yea, I mean for the size of the note 2 it's pretty light. But an even lighter phone would make one hand operation a little easier to use, allowing you to maneuver the phone around better with just one hand.

This is my first note phone. Previously had the S2, S3, and S4. Damn I wished I had jumped on the note series earlier. This phone is awesome. Really liking it. Screen is beautiful and I love the way it feels in my hands.
