Ubuntu for Android - Sprint Samsung Galaxy Note II

Wow. I want it.

Ewwwbuntu. Now making your phone slower and more ugly with an interface a billionaire playboy thinks you want.
Sent from my SPH-L900 using Tapatalk HD

Heh. Well this doesnt actually take over your phones interface. Your phone looks and works the same until you add a keyboard and monitor. Then you get a full linux desktop experience.
I definitely want it.

Memories

Anyone remember this bad boy? Me and my wifes first smartphones dubbed "the iphone killer". Off topic but amazing to see them side by side. Samsung sure has come a long way. Love the hell outta my note 2 by the way!

I hated the 2 weeks I had to use the instinct. Ugh.
I actually used that train wreck for about a week and a half before returning it for a curve. My wife went a whole glorious year

How's this for memories? Name the device I am using to type this? I would have used one even older but it seems to not want to turn on or charge for that matter.

Winner winner chicken dinner! I would have used my G1 but it won't turn on or charge. I can't find my OG MyTouch either.
I just sat my htc hd (dual boot wiMo 6.5 and a xda sd rom) aside for this great gadget. Before that it was the tmobile wing.

Don't wanna sound pushy but....is there a chance we will see this.

Heard about this today and definitely caught my eye. Still at least a year from a factory device but I did see that they will be planning on releasing this on the nexus and seeing as the s3 is one of the largest selling devices I can see the international version receiving this and hopefully our device
Will be keeping an eye on the development of this for sure.

Is already going to be released for the galaxy nexus and supposedly it will be available for any equivalent or better android phone at side point. Even if it isn't official I can see a developer porting this.

I'm sure we'll eventually be seeing it on the SIII
I would love to see this. Being able to dual boot Ubuntu and Android would be killer.

Yep, agree!! This would be awesome!
The interface seems really confusing and not very intuitive to me. Too many hidden docks.
Sent from my SGH-I747 using xda premium
Definitely giving this a try as soon as it's available on the gs3. I think once you get used to it you would never want to switch back. Looks like it makes great use of the screen.

Ill try porting.......
But I'm probably not gonna release

I wanna run virtual machines on my phone!
Looks amazing, but seems sort of redundant. Why not just team with Google and implement this as a redesign for Android? Or implement it in a similar fashion to CM10.

Here is a more in depth look which shows you some flaws which were pointed out on another forum
"Seriously, no one wants to do that kind of multi-directional swipe. That ignores the fact that the guy demonstrating can't read the text under his finger. And if he used his left hand he wouldn't be able to see the icon."

Buzz launcher

Has anyone tried using buzz launcher on their n7 yet? I got it side loaded onto my device but can't get any of the home packs to load and was wondering if someone had better luck
Sent from my XT894 using Xparent Skyblue Tapatalk 2
Nope, I had it on my Gnex and used it for about a week, then I switched back to Nova Launcher Prime.
Buzz launcher is pretty great though. The amount of options is startling.
That's exactly why I was hoping it would work on the n7. It works great on my droid 4 but I guess ill have to wait for it to make it out of beta
Sent from my XT894 using Xparent Skyblue Tapatalk 2
I side loaded it on my nexus 7 and it works perfectly. I haven't had one issue with any Homepack.
Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk 2
Heard it was real buggy. Where do you find the other styles?
It shouldn't really be an issue because the N7 has a standard resolution as high end smart phones (non 1080). Looks cool though and I like the concept. Sure helps me be lazy and switch everything in one go.

Looks nice but it isn't compatible as far what play store says...but anyhow installed the apk...but for widget & homepack it links to the play store which say it isn't compatible.

I just found out that if you have any type of ad blocker enabled it will keep the homepacks you can choose to download from showing. Once I uninstalled adaway everything is working perfect

No issues here either even had my homescreen featured

That's my thoughts if this one dies. As long as the HDMI converter works on them. Haven't researched it yet though.

That galaxy 7" my mom picked to replace hers is doing nicely, I'm not sure it's a huge improvement but it runs well enough and probably lower in price now then it was a few months ago, especially with the first gen n7 coming down to $200 for 32gb. The screen alone would make it a better device then the a100 if nothing else.
OK. Asus memo pad. Its like $100 right now, and it has like a 5340ma battery, I'm all about that! Reportedly they're gonna come out with a new one for $150 though, and the Samsung one has an ir blaster built in, and multiwindow, and since it Samsung there should be a strong development forum to fallback on. Tough call.
http://www.phonearena.com/phones/co...ung-Galaxy-Tab-3-7-inch/phones/7665,5234,7834 but that's not all correct.

My A100 died quite a long time ago, but I'm picking up the 2nd gen Nexus 7.
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda app-developers app
Those look good but I'm not too concerned with the root ability ofy tablet, I'm more concerned on what it can do and if its smooth. If I go with the Samsung I'll want to mod the multi window so I can use any app with it though.
