question about the touch keys - AT&T Samsung Galaxy Note II

first of all...i'm a complete newbie to android so pardon any ignorance i may show.
the touch keys...either side of the main button on the bottom of the note 2.....is there a way to disable them and have them on screen instead ??
i keep handing the phone to the missus to look at something and she instinctively touches there and knocks whatever screen was on off (if that makes sense)....i keep touching them by accident myself and backing out of apps
again...thanks in advance to anyone who replies.

Keyboard Full Stop Key!!!!

Can Anyone help here, Info of Google is limited or am using wrong Key words,
My Previous phone was the N97 and perfect Keyboard, Long Space Bar!!!!
This phone regardless how much i try i cannot Stop hitting that Full Stop key,
Everything els is Perfect,
Is there any mod? hack tweak app or anything to remove that Full Stop key to the right hand side of the space key :-(
lol
Thanks
I don't know of any such hack. The Americans would call that a "period" instead of a full stop

there are many keyboard replacement options. personally i didn't like on screen keyboards at all until i started using swype. beat one out there i've used
Heh, that's ironic! Saying how good a keyboard is, and the auto-correct gets it wrong!

Rofl.. well played I always hit the fullstop. Its getting on my nerves too lol, not sure why though.. im not used to any other touch screen phones besides HD2 and that has the same keyboard pretty much lol
Who said anything about it being correct? I was giving the OP another term to search, full stop

Thanks
I looked and looked and looked and could not find anything,
Maybe one day,
But in the hunt i come accross swype (Also noticed someone els post they use it in this thread)
Wow!!! very good very easy looks like i may of overcome my issue lol
The full stop instead of space has been bugging me for ages as well. Just trying out new keyboard from market called swiftkey beta. Seems better so far but no double tap space for a full stop might become a problem instead...
Swype in landscape moves the space bar to the side by the way

[REquest] Vanilla Slide To Answer

The HTC SENSE slide up and down is driving me nuts when i carry my phone in my pocket i either answer or decline the call before i even see who it is.....
Ive searched countless forums for a Vanilla Slide to Answer just like the Slide to Unlock/ringer Slide and with no luck have i come across such mod..
Can any devs look into this or possibly point me in the right direction thanks
+1
I would like to have this also. Pulling the phone out of my pocket often results in prematurely answering a call I didn't want to take. Especially while wearing my Motley Crue stonewashed edition ballhuggers.

Happens to me all the time.
This should just be an option in the menu somewhere. Side-side or up-down.
Common HTC you can do it!

touch screen respond?

this has nothing to do wtih the epic specifically but with touch screens in general
i have a samsung intercept and it fell and the whole screen broke but the phone still works perfectly but i cant touch anything i wanna know if theres any special thing i can use to get the inner screen to respond to touch? i dont wanna fix it cuz i dont really use it but i just wanna see if i can get past the unlock screen lol
Won't sliding it open the keyboard unlock it? I have borked touchscreen files on my moment b4 and I had to use the kb to navigate. It sucked but was possible with the exception of some poorly written apps.

ya i thought that would work but it didnt i rooted it and it has an ics theme and it doesnt unlock when i slide it open but its cool im not worried about it i took a closer look and realized the screen part that popped out is actually connected to the phone and it ripped off so its impossible to get it to work thanks tho

Odd, random question

A question for those that make use of the toolbox feature. Wheres the best place to put the little button? I'm having an issue with it covering up an area that I end up needing. Right now I just disable it when it isn't in use, but I'm starting a new job where having enable always would be incredibly useful. Any ideas?
