How do I overclock my Xperia S GPU?
Im running a kernel that supports that, but is it overclocked or should I do something first?

You can't oc the GPU yourself..like you use setcpu for CPU..its already over clocked in xyz kernel..

[Q] Custom ROM for modern combat 3.

Hello there forum.
I have been wondering if someone can help me find a custom ROM for my [GSM] Galaxy nexus that can support both 13500ghz CPU overclocking as well as games such as Modern combat 3 and GTA3. This actually will help me increase the graphics performance and keep my nexus in the right temperature. I have tested Foxhound ROM but it appeared that it doesn't support games.
It is my first thread and I hope everyone will benefit from it . thanks
You're looking for a kernel not a ROM. A ROM doesn't control CPU overclocking.
AOKP + Franco Kernel will do you well though. As Franco Kernel requires 4.0.3.

thanks again for the fast reply.

Kernel is responsible for overclocking your CPU, undervolting, etc.
This kernel will ALSO OC your GPU to 384 MHz from 308 MHz (or so) so it should help a lot.

Great,, so now the only 4.0.3 I have is the Foxhound ROM. Should i flash into it and then try and install the Kernal from there?

Just flash it after flashing a ROM. If Foxhound is 4.0.3 then you can try it with that, I personally prefer AOKP but like I said before if Foxhound is 4.0.3 then go for it unless you want to try AOKP.
Good, i will work on it right now. ill hit you when works.

Me too.. anyone can help us..
ROM: AOKP Build 28
Kernel: Nightly Franco r112
You might try Morphics Trinity kernel.
http://www.derkernel.com/ics-tuna-exp.html
Try this one, it has an over-clocked GPU as well
TNP138-RD-FUV
This is the Trinity NP kernel with 1382MHz CPU And 512 GPU clock
It might help you out.

Try GLaDOS by ezekeel. it has GPU overclock till 500 mhz and CPU overclock till 1.6 ghz
For changing live overclock and other tweaks get nstools from market or buy glados control.

Just be aware that some devices cannot handle over-clocking past 1.3. The phone will crash and reboot. If you try a kernel with over-clock to 1.6 be sure that you DO NOT check "set on boot". That way if your phone crashes and reboots, it will boot up OK.
In the link above for Trinity kernel there is a 1.6 CPU w/ 512 GPU. If you want to try it.
I have also read that even the devices that can handle the 1.6 without crashing, don't actually run at 1.6 due to thermal throttle. When the CPU reaches 1.6 it over heats and will thermal throttle down within seconds.
Let us know how it turns out.

CPU Speeds

What are the best CPU Speeds for the Play? and why?
Elaborate. You don't say what you're using it for. For normal use? 245MHz to 1GHz works great for me (stock speed)
For gaming 700Mhz to 1400Mhz max.

I'm currently using 245 MHz - 1.5 GHz with SmartAssV2. Great performance and battery life. =)
245 mhz min and 1.3ghz max SmartassV2
Good for games and daily use.
OndemandX?? SmartassV2's better for all of that.

Sdojoin
Use'em THANKS Button
100mhz with screen off, 300mhz when on the launcher, 750mhz when playing emulators, and 1.2ghz for psx emulator.
Sprint Samsung Galaxy S II Epic 4G Touch w/ Stock 4.0.4
Xperia Play R800X w/ supercharged stock 2.3.3 and doomkernel
I'm testing Superbad governor right now and I'm liking it, but it's a kind of Smartass v2.
I think the best maximum frecuency is 1.2GHz because gives a 20% boost with mild battery drain, but with some undervolting you can go up to 1.4GHz or 1.5GHz because undervolting relieves the extra power consume.
but still i dont understand what is governor function ? what is the difference between all those governor ? what each of the governor do . for example what is the difference between smartassv2 and ondemand .
@kuro... To better understand the govs I suggest taking a look @ wedgess kernel posts. He basically has them broken down & describes what each one does or how they work.

kko.12 Gpu Oc?

I was wondering if the kernel already overclocks the GPU or It just supports GPU OC?
if it just supports how do I do it? Thank you.

[Q] GPU Overclocking

Is there any way to overclock the GPU of XPERIA S>?
DoomKernel works in GB only!
Please help me someone!
if possible can i do it on cm10 as well?
nope.
As i know, it is. but im not sure, because its like 1-50 Mhz overklock only! too much and ull burn it!
no , no overclokcing it on stock rom.
Give it a try if you wanna risk and frills your phone...only do a overclock using custom kernel ONLY...it have been set to control such a high overclock

Just use SetCPU.
Settings>Performance>Processor>Maximum CPU frequency. Here you can set 1674MHz maximum (this is the XSL's max freq.). For higher frequency, you need to flash another kernel wich compatible with the CM 10, and support the overclock.

Maybe the Nova kernel, but it's outdated. Why do you want to OC? In my SL everything smooth, and fast.

If you would like to see higher benchmark scores, the CM is not your way, because the CM ROMs are weakly in benchmarks, but strongs in real performance. If you hunting just for the higher score, try out the Trinity kernel, and the Trinity ROM.
Anyways, I had slimbean 4.2 before and even that didn't have an overclocking kernel.
