Hey people,
I'd like to put mmuzzy's rom on my gnex as it runs like lightning on my Nexus 7. But it seems to be only available in the Verizon+Sprint sections.
Im from Ireland which is all gsm so i have never ventured into the Verizon or sprint sections on xda.
Im just wondering if it can be done or if ill run into any issues?

It would have to be ported to a gsm nexus. U can't flash a Verizon or sprint ROM to your phone.

I thought as much but i just couldn't find a straight answer anywhere.
Thanks mate

Would appreciate it, thanks !!
I didn't see none of that in the settings I had to hold down one of the power Widgets in notification bar to get to toggle settings

Using the 5/10 stable version of this with trinity....runs pretty impressively so far. Any idea if they are still building this? 5/10 was the last build I seen from their twitter @viciousbot

Isn't there another nexus coming in Dec?
Why not wait?
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk 2
All of the ROMs are the best for somebody. You just have to find out which one is best for you. It's a DIY project by nature.

No ones really sure if there is but he can upgrade his HTC evo for a Gnex for like 100$ so I told him go for it
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk 2
Because I can get the old one for 99 bucks and the new nexus is sure to be over 500 dollars and being as I am a single dad in limited income I can deal w the old one but thanks I didn't know a new one was even comming out lol

well, yeah, that's what I feel like writing, because it's such a pointless question. you want to know what people use more? check number of pages of every rom thread and you'll know what most people are using. same with kernels. then read those threads, get the device, and enjoy flashing from day 1 you get the device, already knowing before hand what is it that you can expect (approximately, since, most of all, every device is different) from X release of X rom or kernel.
not to mention that must be there like lot's of threads on this theme, and that's it's a rather subjective/personal one.
Just broke my tbolt, got a nexus, looking forward to trying to roor and see whats here!

Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda app-developers app
^ Nope, in fact you can even root without unlocking the bootloader and wiping your data

Are you the Guy over at Thunderbolt whose TB bit the dust?
Haha welcome, I think more GalNex owners had the Thunderbolt than any other phone, we just got hit so bad with waiting for ICS, none of us want that wait and uncertainty ever again.

Been playing with it all day, getting a feel for phone and battery. Ive git a 2350 battery in it i believe, and life seems pretty good. It did update to jb, and im amazed how fast phone is. If i had a good secure wifi tether, id almost not root, lol! Nah, i gotta see what this thing will do. Really liking so far though.

Should i update radios? Runnin liquid now, no 4g.
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda app-developers app
Do yourself a favor and if you haven't yet already learn adb and fastboot command lines there is no need for a toolkit for this phone. And to answer your radio question unlike the thunderbolt any radio combination works on any ROM you can update or change radios to see if they help you out but it shouldn't matter if you're getting 4g or not. Plus these roms never include radios..well from what I have seen all the radios can be flashed separately through the bootloader or some people have made flashable zips containing them.
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda premium
1. Get Gnex
2. Root/Unlock
3. Flash new radios
4. Flash new bootloader
5. Flash new ROM - I would vouch for Codename Android with Faux's kernel
that's my recommendation plan
Brace yourself, flash addiction is comimg.

She can not receive a call from me since the update. That is the only number that I can not call. She can receive my texts, but no calls... Any suggestins?

What does your wife's S3 got to do with our device? (not sure you own a nexus though?) Ask in the S3 forums or Sprint or Samsung.
Maybe you flashed a Nexus rom on a gs3?

Her device is stock. OP, if she uses Google Voice, check her settings and make sure she didn't block your number by mistake. If not, call Sprint and have them troubleshoot. My wife had the same problem and we got it fixed. GL
