I've been receiving multiple repeated messages over and over! Any fix for this? It even happened on stock 4.2.. Could it be my radio?

Try reflash rom and gapps, with clean install if possible.
Or go into settings-apps-all and clear cache and data and disable messaging, it will probably disappear from apps list.
Reboot phone then go into settings-apps-all, press menu button and select reset app preferences, which will restart messaging app hopefully now working.
If that dont work try finding a stock messaging app, delete yours in system-apps using a root explorer, and then install the version you downloaded.
No guarantee any of this will work as i am a newbie but maybe worth a try and i dont know of any other solutions as yet.

Check for the update to 0.8.4.1 - there was a bugfix for various widget-based FC's.
I had the Facebook Widget problem, it took years to update/refresh my facebook to the latest status. I dont set auto refresh as I worry it will eat up my data and battery. Anyone knows the solution?
Yeah try the latest version

Try clearing the application data of "Storage Calendar"!
I also have a problem with Launcher Pro, didn't wanna start a new thread..
It doesn't save the settings when I restart it. For example, I change the number of homescreens or the animation when switching them, and the next time I run LP (restart in menu / kill app and restart / reboot etc.) it's back to default.
I also can't keep LP Plus activated.. I enter the code, it says it's activated, I can add the LP Widgets..but after restart, it's locked again..
Help?
Tried clearing the data but even that didn't work!
So confusing and the developer didn't answer to the emails I sent!

Force close LP. Then with Root Explorer or Super Manager delete the following folder: /dbdata/databases/com.fede.launcher
(Might work for OP too...)
Not storing settings: delete /dbdata/databases/com.fede.launcher directory using Root Explorer (or adb).
Thanks a lot guys!
I was previously trying to delete that with Astro, but nothing would show in databases folder. Works like a charm with Root Explorer.
Hey guys still waiting for an answer regarding the calander widget crash...
Cheers

Worked for me !!!
Hey guys. So I was in terminal deleting the stock apps that I don't need to have and one of those apps which I deleted was the stock messaging app, I did this because I was using hancent. Well now I am not receiving any pictures.
- It all started after I deleted the stock app, I am not sure if it started immediately after or a while after
- I was using handcent and I noticed that I was getting the pop up received thing and the quick reply option but in the actual handcent app under each conversation the incoming message was not there.
Are there any suggestions to fix this or knowledge about this topic? Do you need to have the stock messaging app in order to have other messaging apps work? I can send pictures and texts; i can receive texts but not pictures...
You need the stock app. The 3rd party apps just piggyback off it.

I tried that and it didnt work...Not giving me the option to restore....
Did you make a backup? Or just reflash the Rom.

eveything I removed i backed up first through titanium back.. I see a little blue check next to it and it says data only..Not giving me a option to restore it..
Like I said before, just reflash the Rom you're using and start over. Nandroid is your friend

or manually push it. if you tell me what rom you're running, i'll make you a flashable zip. also, did you delete the messaging.providers.apk or the messaging.apk?
nvm i can just make a zip with both.
Hope you got it fixed. That's hard one to pick which forum it goes in lol either here or the Q/A.
I am using the stock rom. I just wanted root which I used unrevoked 3 to give me root. I removed messages 1.00 and messages wiget 2.2. I removed them with titanium backup. Thanks..
here you go dude. stock mms apk pushed to system/app by this zip.
I found the stock app and installed it...It worked...thanks
I recently upgraded from a tw based ROM to task and KT aokp cm10 with kt747. All is working great until I restored my call logs. It crashes every time I open the app. How can I delete my call logs from the system to allow the phone app to work again? I tried to remove it with tibu but it does not seem to let me. Thanks in advance for your help. I do not care about keeping my phone logs if need be.

There's an app on the market called "History Eraser"
It should be able to delete all your call logs.
First I would just try going to settings>application manager>all then scroll to phone and press it and click clear data and clear cache, its possible that this will fix the problem withour erasing call logs.
Thank you for the reply. I was unaware of that app. I tried both of your options and neither worked. I ended up doing a full wipe and reflash without restoring the logs. Thanks for the help.

Hopefully someone can help me out. This morning when I turned on my phone and tried to open mail it said "this app is not installed." So I rebooted and got the same error. I went into the system and saw that GoogleMail.apk was still there, so I tried to install it and it got to the "install" button but then would not install. Then I tried to copy the apk out of the system folder to the sdcard and same thing, gave me the install button but would not install. In frustration, I backed up my data and factory reset the phone. Still no mail app!
I'm on version 4.2.1 stock.
I can only guess my mail apk is corrupt or something, but I have no idea how to get it back. Any thoughts, suggestions, fixes?

Weird issue, are you rooted? If so try removing with titanium and flash stock gapps. If not rooted work around could be to DL and use the gmail app?

You mean the install button on the google play store app page??
May I suggest that you try to go to settings > apps > ALL (TAB) and select Google Play Store. Once there, hit CLEAR DATA and CLEAR CACHE. Then go back and open google play. Most likely, it will/may ask you to login again and/ or accept the user agreement again. Just accept and see if you can install anything.
If this does not work, boot into recovery. Clear cache and fix permissions... Maybe this will help.
Good luck.
Not on google play. On this (look my screenshot)

Ok then, do the second thing i suggested. Boot into recovery, clear cache, fix permissions. While you are at it, wipe dalvik cache under advanced menu. See if that works.

still doesn't work. I think this problem because I used tocuhwiz 5 theme. on cm9, I've a same problem after I used the tw 5 theme.
Are you install some kind app which overlap the screen. Something like sidebar, or rounded corner?
I ever install those app once and it's blocked my touch area.
Can you install apps when you use your phone in landscape mode ( screen rotated)?
