Is there an actual FB sync fix(not just haxsync, I want contacts to be downloaded with phone numbers) for JB yet?
Cna - Codename Android uses something that syncs the fb contacts. Unsure what it is though..

Yeah, I'm running AOKP M1 though, cant go with any other rom... fixated on features of aokp >.<
For AOKP ICS M6 there was a flashable FB sync fix(http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1695406) but it doesn't exist for JB yet... I have no idea what the actual issue is besides that FB doesn't comply with Android API and neither FB nor Google are willing to change.
Tried the ICS one... bricked me so had to restore.
Guess it's the waiting game for someone better versed in android to come up with a fix >.<
CNA pretty much has all the features of AOKP and more.

Hi guys,
1. Is it possible to flash 4.2 Gapps to note 2? The ones from Nexus 4? I am running Omega ROM i fthat helps.
2. Is there a way to integrate Google Voice with the stock messaging app? For example when I send the text message for stock messaging app I want that message to go through Google Voice.
Thanks!

I didn't check what Omega ROM was, but yes. Fully possible. ICS + 4.2 Gapps will work, but you will need to remove a few apps before you flash them. Has to be CM10 or 9.
You'll need to remove things like desk clock and a few others such as Gallery.
Just remembered, that some of the apps may only work with JB. Not ICS. Maybe the desk clock. Idk. Test a find out. Wouldn't hurt.

Thanks Omega is Samsung based ROM and I really would like to keep it that way since I'm not a huge fan of AOSP when compared to TouchWiz goodies.

1-Yes, you can get the apps from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1965290
2-So far as I know, no. You can cc your Google number and your messages will go to Google voice when you send them.
Is there a way to get aosp jellybean mms with working picture sending on the 4.1.2 rom? i tried a few but none of them have working picture messaging it always gets stuck on sending
I used an ICS build of the MMS.apk in my ROM and it works, it just doesnt have emoji support or quick reply window.
I had cm10 messaging app (probably a week ago) working but I couldn't send pictures with it

This thread is dedicated to the MMS apps from any custom ROM for the galaxy nexus. I always see posts about wants from this MMS to that MMS.
Now you can take your pick.
I will keep these updated as much as possible, and will be adding more when I can. I don't use every ROM out there, if you want one added, just ask.

The mms from slimbean has a really nice feature. You can add a small emoji key right next to where you enter your text. Thereby it gets easier to add emojis

How do we get this to work? The procedure I have used in the past didn't work when I tried to pull the apk from AOKP. I removed the stock from system app and replaced it with the one I wanted. Then rebooted, cleared caches and fixed permissions. Am I doing something wrong?

I tried the aokp v5 zip, it installs but it won't open. It opened long enough to see the messages try to load then it just closes. I also tried the v6 apk using the procedure I mentioned above. It isn't working for me. I tried clearing caches and fixing permissions, but no luck.

4.2.x mms apps build with many framework dependencies. Meaning if your mms is gone or force closing after flashing a different one than the rom shipped with, the current framework in your rom will not support that particular mms apk. This happens much more frequently than previous builds now since the addition of features like group messaging for example. In the framework, group messaging has to be allowed also (dependency).

So do we know of one of the versions in the OP other than the carbon version that will work with carbon? One that had theming options like aokp.

Im not for sure its pretty much a matter of trial and error at this point. I dont know what mms apps have the theming options as of current. I build mine with them in tact from the source of whichever rom im running, inverted as well, to make sure it has the proper dependencies to install and run correctly. I have a black mms with (i believe) the theming options you are talking about made specifically for carbon. However it is inverted and does not respect the dark carbon setting, it will always be black. If youre interested pm me so we dont hijack this thread.

What rom are were you running when you took the screenshot, just out of curiousity. If we can narrow down which versions work with what rom(s) it may save this thread a lot of confusion and unnecessary bug reports.

Re: MEGA MMS thread [3/30/13] [blackbean, aokp, rootbox, sourcery, carbon]
All of these support group messaging. I have not been able to "break" any options with these. I'm on rootbox 3/23 right now.
Breathing notifications working just fine with all as well.
This isn't a big deal IMO people. if you flash a mod after a build DONT REPORT A BUG TO THE ROM THREAD ABOUT WHAT YOU MODDED AFTERWARDS!!!!!!

After testing the bb8 mms, rootzbox mms, and sourcery mms, on carbon 1.6, group messaging is not present in the mms settings of each of these 3. Again, this is only on carbon 1.6 and results may vary

I didn't want to steal his thread, but I wanted to let you guys know about this, I'm using it and it's kind of cool. Slightly unstable for the time being, but we don't even have 10.2 nightlies yet, but when we do this will be included.
Tested and working on : LiquidSmooth 2.9
Should work on all AOSP ROMs..
Will NOT work on any Touchwiz based ROM.
Edit : Your stock camera will remain. This is a separate app!
doesn't work FC's on Hyperdrive ROM RLS15 for me
It force closes here too running hyperdrive 15
Sent from my SGH-T999 using xda app-developers app
FC on my 4.1.2 ROM too.

Works for my T999L on CM10.1 Nightly, except HDR, and it is not stable (it locked up and I had to reboot). Going to keep playing with it, wish I could find a user guide for it, but I guess it hasn't be made yet.
EDIT: Front-Facing Mode causes reboot, Panorama Mode causes FC, HDR & PicSphere will not compile. Also any error and the phone has to be rebooted for it to see the camera again.
Yeah sorry guys doesn't look like it works on Twiz. AOSP based ROMs only.
