Recently, my computer stopped letting me use any of the HTC drivers. My One X when plugged in in recovery says there is no Mass Storage driver. When plugged in normally the ADB and MTP drivers show up as unavailable. 4 days ago the drivers were working 100% fine, but now I can't flash anything.
Same problem
Hi, i have the same problem,
i also try before to Root Cyanoganmod 10 on my HTC one x (CID_032) but i lost the sim signal more times, and bluetooth and wireless dont work.
i love cyanoganmod and i am ready to pay someone to help me to root my HTC one x on the best way.
if anyone is ready to help me, please contact me, thanks

usb issues
Yeah, same problem here guys... Usb connection issues right after the jelly bean update to 4.1.1 and sense 4+
Ive contacted HTC and apparently they are aware of the issue. All we can hope for is another update hey..
I have this problem as well...can I see someone's hboot version firmware version and ics or jb version??it would greatly help me isolate the problem in my case

It happened to me as well.
When I plugged my HOX after updating to Jelly Bean, there was no access via MTP nor Internet sharing and Windows Device Manager said that there were no drivers available.
However, an autorun dialog appeared saying "HTC Sync Manager - USB driver update is available", installing this solved the problem.
Internet sharing via USB only worked after rebooting both the computer and the One X.
I'm on Windows 7 x64, and using ARHD 18.0. Hboot is 1.36.
Guys, I know this is a bit OTT, but have you ever thought about:
AirDroid - https://play.google.com/store/apps/...t=W251bGwsMSwxLDMsImNvbS5zYW5kLmFpcmRyb2lkIl0.
You could transfer the ROM using that then flash it as usual ?
This is a workaround for you, hope it helps
I'm not even rooted or so....yeah;( my hboot is 1.14 and I'm ics firmware 2.20...I'm trying to figure out if the person who had this before me updated it any...my hoc worked well in USB mode pass through mass storage and so on but those were drivers already on the phone...when I got the actual drivers from HTC website I installed them for rooting purposes but the cid overwrite didn't work...I'm guessing it's the drivers like you guys described or the person befoe me updated this phone...need a hboots and firmware versions

I can't believe I didn't think of that! I forgot Airdroid existed! That solves one problem, but adb and fast boot both don't work still.

Never experienced it myself, but this sounds like you have USB bricked your phone. Try to follow the steps outlined in this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=691639

If you are running CM& (AOSP built rom) then it is normal that HTC Sync no longer works.
You say that ADB doesn't find your phone? have you checked that USB debugging is turned on?
I have a android incredible version 2.2,this cell was root but i unroot de cell because i want to know how to unroot because if something happen with the phone, but the point is i am trying to root my cell. againg with unrevoked3.this is what im doing.
1)open the unrevoked3,(my laptop have the driver)
2)connect the usb and choose htc sinc, click ok
3)the unrevoked start whit the clockwork
4)when the cell reboot, the unrevoked3 show comunication with the phone interrupted.try again.
Don't choose sync. Choose charge only and turn USB debugging on. Also make sure HTC sync is not installed on your laptop

Rooting HTC Incredible
I have been reading today that perhaps the Incredible is no longer rootable after the last OTA update. Anyone know more?
I rooted one like a week ago
Wasn't November the last ota? I'm pretty sure there has been plenty of rooting since then.
Sent from my ADR6300 using XDA App
It "IS" rootable since the Nov OTA but you have to do it right.
Uninstall all HTC Sync drivers/software from your computer before hooking your phone up. Then install these drivers:
http://unrevoked.com/rootwiki/lib/e...unrevoked.com/recovery/android-usb-driver.zip
When you run Unrevoked3 it should run just fine and do all in about 10 minutes or so. If you get a warning about being "firmware to new" or the likes then try a couple more times. If it still doesn't work then set the connection from Charge Only to Disk Drive and run again.
Just had to a total reset on mine all the way back to factory then rooted and restored.
It is rootable. I did mine back in march. Googled how to root the Droid Incredible and just followed all the directions. Worked first try. Loved it ever since.

nope the problem was the usb debugging wasn't mark, and it wasn't in charge.
sorry if i wrote something wrong but my English is not good.
Hello people, this is my first post and an urgent one at that.
Pretty much what has happened is I have one of the most recent Cyanogen Mod 10 ROMS for my HTC One X and while I was browsing the phone turned off. I tried to turn it on but it refused and I had to do the plug into computer and quickly switch to power supply trick to get it working, before I figured out who to do that I managed to get into the bootloader > CWM and reinstall the ROM. It crashed while installing that ROM causing the problem I believe I have now.
My problem is this:
I have a corrupt ROM and I can't get into my SD card to be able to reinstall it. I have no idea how I can access it, everytime I plug my usb into the pc it detects an unknown device and doesn't go further. I've played around with adb and that won't detect my device either, I need a way to get this working again. All I need is to mount my SD and then I can fix it myself.
Thanks for any help people can contribute.

Can you get into cwm ? If so connect your USB and go to manage storage I think that's what its called and select USB storage and from there does your computer detect it now ?

So since the update to Jelly Bean via Rogers, I have not been able to access my HTC One X through my computer using the usb cable. It's seriously annoying since I can't load in any roms or emulators that I want.
Somebody please help me out.
Thanks in advance
p.s. this is my first thread post and would appreciate the help
When you connect hox with your pc you don't receive a message error or similar?
Which OS you have in your pc?
If you have Windows XP it's normal.
With ubuntu or mac you need a program that you can found with Google
Thanks for the reply. I tried downloading the HTC sync manager but it didn't find it in my mac. I did some further research after reading your post and found a program that let's me open it called Android Manager

Hi,
Lately I have been trying to flash a rom to my htc one v (primou), but for some reason fastboot won't see the device. I was able to control the device with ADB (for booting into bootloader and fastboot).
I have already tried to install htc sync manager (for the drivers) and standalone htc drivers (some from the XDA forums). But so far I was unable to install any of the standalone drivers, because most of the time they give an error that my OS is not the correct version, not compatible, etc... :banghead:
I am currently on Windows 8.1
Has anybody else experienced this issue? And is there a possible solution for it?
Thanks in advance
PS: First post on XDA (finally got the guts to make an account)
Check this guide, it got my fast boot working

Guys the problem is that the usb driver is now made by Microsoft and does not let you connect the phone in fastboot mode (and has problems with many other devices, not only phones). You need to change the driver to the one released by your USB manufacturer. That guide is for Intel drivers. Anyway I guess you can do it with any other manufacturers drivers.

I have USB 2.0 on original intel drivers and windows 8.1 and fastboot usb is still not working any suggestions

Its all microsoft fail again. They put their crap drivers instead of your usb provider. So either you can look for drivers of ur usb provider, install them and set up windows in device manager to use them which is pain, or just look for a pc without win 8 I did the second thing.
