do kernels for the international version work for our phones or are we restricted to whatever pops up in original dev. for the sprint version ?

do not use kernels from other phones. Sprint stuff only works with Sprint phone and international stuff only works with international phones

the reason being our phone has different radios , SIM type and software requirements. for example our phones use cdma signal while international phones use gsm signal.

Ok so I've seen alot of talk about prl and I wanted to see I'd changing mine would improve my data speeds. My current prl is 25006. I live in southeast Georgia in the 31313 zip code. If someone could drop me a easy link to detailed instructions I would appreciate it. Also would changing my prl give me 4g currently its not offered here. Thanks in advance

No, changing PRLs will not get you 4G as the infrastructure is not yet active, and roaming on Verizon won't give you LTE.(At least from what i understand)
Cool can it offer faster 3g speeds?

People reported faster 3G speed on Verizon towers.
A simple search in the above search bar could point you in the right direction
Edit: I noticed you're on the mobile app. let me search for you.

What is really weird is I checked several phones at the store and some s3.s had lte listed and some not. I've even seen it disappear on my phone under settings mobile networks and but comes back eventually. Not sure what's up with that.

If it is the T999L then yes, if T999 (no L) then no LTE.
I don't think so.

Which grey one? The one in just got brand new is the grey one and its the same as the white one I had before. Once I updated it to the newest update with modem it removed the late option and not seeing any changes in speed. I think once Tmobile releases late they are going to make you get a new sim card allowing lte. We just have to WAIT and see.

Can the Optimus G be flashed to Virgin Mobile? If it can will all the features be fully operational like 3g and 4g.
In other words would this work on Virgin Mobile?

I'm not sure about Virgin. I have heard about it being flashed to Boost. But Boost uses Sprint's cell towers.

Should be able too. Just need the apns switched over. You could do it with some of the apn apps in the google play store.
Doesn't virgin use Sprint towers also?

Hi does anyone know if there is away to enable AWS band (3g/4g Tmobile) on GTN7100.. I believe it should be possible after all the AT&T version can do it. As of now I desperately need it cause my network keeps switching from back to fourth with edge to H.
H is 3g

N7100 doesnt support 4g (lte) tmobile calls hspa+ 4g
Sent from my GT-N7105 using xda app-developers app
Unfortunately no, the n7100 doesn't have the same hardware as the T889 and the best you can get is 3g on the UMTS band

There's this aosp Rom. It it's only for att will I have problems running it on a tmobile variant?
As long as you can change apn settings you should be fine except you will lose WiFi calling.

Maybe. T-Mobile version is missing 3 of the LTE bands. I forgot which one you might for at&t. 7 maybe? T-Mobile only has 4 and 17. At&t also has 2, 4 and 5.
