Are you using any, like battery monitor, or anti-viirus app, which shows up on ur notification bar, under on-going.
If yes, disable it and try. this might prevent installation.
Let me know what happens
Best of luck
it's probably not compatible with JB and Sense4+ have a look through the themes and apps pages, there's plenty of JB compatible skins there

go to setting.. cm setting.. user interface.. tweaks extras, select a theme
I did that but only the notification bar changes?
Sent from my HTC Vision using XDA App
If the notification bar changed it means that at least the framework-res.apk was changed, so maybe the theme did get applied.
Sometimes you have to manually set the widgets and the icons in order for the theme to look similar to the screenshots.
Which theme are you trying to install?
Well I understand that part but I seen themes where the apps are different and indicator colors are always different ..for example bliss and inexus ..I found those on themselves and apps on this forum

I also used uot kitchen but statusbar got force closes. Is there a fast and smooth statusbar i can flash into my phone? Thanks in advance!Waiting for your answers!!!!!

Get a theme like the Ice Cream Sandwich theme, apply it in theme chooser and these status bars are usually faster (for me)
He said he wants to get ICS status bar on a 2.2 rom.
And I never got any issues with the UOT kitchen... Try making another theme.
He said he wanted a status bar that was fast like the wildpuzzle rom, he never said for a 2.2 ROM.

The other way around. After the developer of WildPuzzleRom stopped work on it, somebody else took it on with the original dev's permission and gave the new version the name RemPuzzleRom.
I see.. thx a lot.

I have CM7
and I want to change the ugly black background in the notification bar, to something like sense or something...
there is an application to change it?
thanks for any help
Theme Chooser, download themes from the market or on here. Transparent themes won't work unless you patch cm7 first though.

Never heard of patching it. Could you tell me how to do that?
a sick status bar will just be the icing on the cake for my wildfire.
I have tried apps like custom status bar and status bar + but neither offer what i want.
I'm sure i found an app that let me set wallpapers as the texture for the bar, but i cant remember which app it was

You could also try go locker - free from market. Loads of different themes/ styles downloadable from market, some free, some paid.

The apps mentioned (widget locker, go locker, lockbot) will give you a new lockscreen - whatever style you want. This could be default Gingerbread android, or like the new ICS android or something completely different. Most are free, with a selection of free themes to also download and try. I've got go locker with ICS theme on my cheap tablet - works great. If you don't want to download the app - just try a google search of images of go locker - you can get a good impression of what's available.
You also mention getting rid of the ring, not an app to replace them? There are also apps which will get rid of the lockscreen altogether, so the screen is on when you press a button. Not used them myself, but "No Lock" seems highly rated on the market.
If for some reason you actually want to mod the rom - then sorry, that's beyond me!
If you running Revolution grab the lockscreen and idlescreen apk out of the LeeDrOiD hd port that is pretty much a 2.1 rom till you add the sense 3 add on. It should work out, they use the same base.

Hi all.
I have HTC One V, not rooted. I don't like Sense 4.0, so I use Nova launcher. But I would love to have that transparent notification bar in Nova, so I was wondering if that was possible? I'm willing to root if it happens to be so.

Yeah, but will those status bars work under a different launcher (not the default one)? The status bar in Sense just works with default launcher, not with the Nova.
yea try PA, i use NOVA works perfeectly
Ehh. I saw a thread like this, don't know if it is possible. I can attempt, but I don't think it will work.
The way HTC made it is so the transparency doesn't blend with the background in apps like the browser. Rooting won't help you. If you want to, you will have to use a different Rom, non sense, or ignore it
Transparency also eats performance a bit.
