how to install Ubuntu on Omnia II

Hi guys ,
I want to install Ubuntu on omnia 2 like HD2 and other ppc ...
is there any one that have experience or have haret and startup file ?

Found the cure!
I've uploaded ubuntu for omnia II to my site.
I'm currently working on it so you can make and receive calls with it.

1. Your site says it has tutorials... These two files are tutorials (according to tutorials even domain www.omnia2geek.com does not exist)?
2. You didn't even wrote what is working and what is not (probably You are using files from android alpha pack, so everything is not working?).

I'm very interested in trying ubuntu on my i8000, I've got a custom rom on it now but it's not really doing it for me. As I'm experimenting with Linux MCE I'd like to use my i8000 as an orbiter which would work perfectly with Ubuntu I suppose.

Hi.I thank all who have waited till now but their wait is to an end.
OXIIGEN is uploaded to the web completely and the download links are at the secons page of my site.
ubuntu features:
synaptic
KVkbd
cpu meter
pc-like terminal
... ... you can manage filesystems in terminal!!!
ubuntu works on any I8000 rom(the newer the better)
I don't warn but it warns that ubuntu will work in 32-bit mode
note that don't use it for a long time.due to the processor that has to manage all the processes(data,graphic and...)and because it has no fans it might overheat!

good day i am trying to run Oxiigen on a i8000 and keep on getting kernal panic ..downloaded , expanded it put it in my storage and ran haret.exe , boot's into bootloader and then i get a kernal panic..reboot in 30 secounds ...any help thanks got it ..nm..thanks

thanks for notifying me of some troubleshooting explanation:
if you get kernel panic make sure your cpu mode is set to Auto...

Again I'm back With More Symphony Stuff .......
First Things First ........ DO IT AT YOUR OWN RISK ! I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY DAMAGES !
For Experts : (Who has Used SP_FLASH_TOOL before)
If You have already used SP_Flash_Tool . then You guys already know how to work around it !
So i'll Give you Guys Just The Firmwere Files ... Just Flash them using SP_Flash_tool ... and be sure to Untick the Preloader !

Now this ROM is in Indonesian Language ... See below for More Info on How to change the Language ! :fingers-crossed:
*Note* If You wanna To Flash all those Custom Roms again , The Again Flash the MMX-New-Version Files Again !
Now For the NewBies/Starters ! (Who haven't use SP_FLASH_TOOL Before)
Here We Go Again ......
1st Step -
*The driver for Symphony W50 -
The Driver installation !
a) Now download the drivers from this link https://sites.google.com/site/ultimatebrainguide/micromax-a75/installing-drivers ( If you have 32bit download the 32bit ver. and if u have the x64bit download the x64-bit ver )
b)Download your preferred driver and Copy and paste it to your desktop and install it !
c) Driver installing Instructions -
The the driver_win_64.exe as administrator or it will fail
When it tell you to press enter - Press Enter
Now type one and press enter then there are 3 options choose your windows and type the number and press enter and you are good to go !
d) Connect the device -
Connect the device and check the Device installs successfully !
2nd Step : Flashing n Stuff .....

2.Then Download this http://www.mediafire.com/?yd8aqt3xlna5ren
3.Extract both of the files
4.Go to the SP_Flash_Tool folder and and Open Flash_Tool as Administrator .....
5.Click on the Scatter-Loading And select the file MT6573_Android_scatter from the Folder you downloaded As 233 Internal Memory by Sakib
6.Now untick Pre-loader
7.Now Make sure your phone is turned off and also the cable is disconnected ! ......
8.Now press Download on the SP_FLASH_TOOL and as soon as the Timer starts Connect your phone ........
9. Now this will take a While ! And Your phone will boot up with the New Rom ... It Kind of Looks like the Stock Rom .....
Now > Changing The Language !
Well ..... Do as i did Below in The Pictures and Your Phone will be in English in No Time !
Press The Option key in Your Home . And Go to Setting ,
Then Go to the Next Tab and Select the Third One [With a (A) icon]
Press the First Option >
And Select < English !!
And Here is Just A Prove of My phone Running This Rom On English !
And That's It ...........

I've installed Slim 3.1.1 JB rom. all ok, but - when I go to "ACCOUNT" -> ''Add Account" - I cannot see "Exchange" nor "Email". only google/last.fm/endomondo
I really need that corporate email...is there a way to add it manually?

the flashing process is the same as at Quarx2k version.
you don't need to know Spanish to download the rom...
anyway, just use Google Chrome built-in translation to find yourself on the forum...

Can't find the download
I know absolutely no Spanish but I managed to find the download section and even registered successfully on the forum..But even then in the download section it says "content hidden.please press button to display" There were a couple of buttons which I tried clicking but they only displayed the features etc.. So what button are they reffering to? I can view the changelog and stuff.. but no download..
I know this might be a silly question but if you could post the link to the download, it would be very helpful..

I can't download KDZ file fro my LG mobile P713 from http://csmgdl.lgmobile.com.
I have tried various methods that explaind for downloading (None Works for me).
now my mobile is dead after flashing wrong firmware.
so 1st I need to download that ROM KDZ for my mobile http://csmgdl.lgmobile.com/dn/downloader.dev?fileKey=FW286216432109876543213/V20B_00.kdz but I can't download
2nd how to flash my mobile offline, as I read about it.

Link is not working. So what can I do regarding ISP Blocking?

You can try with proxy or you can ask someone to download and upload it for you to some file hosting sites. My upload is 1mb and it would take to long to upload it!

for anyone else where the browser is blocking the download, if you got a linux running, use "wget" that works.

it's just a http request, it doesn't matter the GET operation hosting OS or the command. If the url is bad or the file not exist anymore you get 404

absolutely, i just want to tell others to try it via wget, cause in my case my browser (FF, Chrome) did not download the file and it was not blocked by ISP.

finaly i use the extreme downloader to resolve the blank page and it's wooorking
(i havenot the permission to put the link in my reply) download the Xtreme Download Manager from any source
it not a spam it's working i'm muslim trust me , after installing the application just go too file and click on download file put the link (who is notworking) , rename the file with the ".kdz" extension ,click download hahahahahaha it's working , for me i have just found these solution , i try every things even the the lg support tool

I just came across this thread.
Replace csmgdl.lgmobile.com in the download link with tool.lime.gdms.lge.com and you're good to go...
