Samsung T989 Battery in the GNex? - Samsung Galaxy Nexus

Random question - but seeing how the GNex extended battery works on the T-Mo GS2, would the stock 1850 mAh battery work on the GNex?
Thanks!

Given he's on Verizon, I'm guessing it's the Samsung extended battery for the i515.

Galaxy S Blaze battery fits GSM Nexus!

For those looking for a spare battery in the states or one of those battery charging kits, the T-Mobile Galaxy S Blaze uses the same 1750 mah battery as our beloved Nexus! Just thought I'd share.

You know if the T989 battery is also compatible? 1850 mAh with NFC.
From what I can tell, it looks like it. I have a T989 battery, but don't get my phone till Monday. Will update.

Yes it is. I'm using the nexus battery on my t989

Well the nexus battery is smaller but the T989 is bigger and doesn't fit inside the GNex if I recall correctly. I'll have to double check when I get home.

Yeah that's why I would think it's compatible.
On the T989 forums they are all buying the extended nexus battery for the little extra mAh.
Hopefully it's compatible or i'd have a useless battery. lol
Sold my white t989 for a white nexus!

The T989 battery will fit the VERIZON galaxy nexus and vice versa. But it will not fit the GSM galaxy nexus.
@icashyy_ you should have stated it fits the VERIZON galaxy nexus which is what you have but since this thread is talking about the GSM GN you instead have confused some people and hopefully they have not made a purchase over your mistake. Please pay attention to thread titles.

Ahhhh disappointment lol
I already had the extra battery from the T989, lost it, but found it after I sold it.
Oh well. Thanks!
The Blaze does have NFC its identical to the Galaxy Nexus battery except it has a water indicator at the top.

Ah that makes sense, I didn't notice he had the LTE version. I was already doubting my testing with my wife's phone.

Does anyone know if the 2100Mah Galaxy Nexus battery will fit in the Blaze 4G?
I know that it fits the T989, but wanted to know for my T769, Blaze!

Since the 2100mah is a Verizon galaxy nexus battery then I don't think it will fit. The blaze is compatable with the GSM galaxy nexus and vice versa. The Verizon galaxy nexus uses a completely different battery.
This thread is a mess. Why are folks so sloppy? We are in the GSM GN forum. We should be talking about the GSM Galaxy Nexus phone and not confusing each other by only saying 'white' nexus or galaxy nexus.
Is this xda or what? Very sloppy. I came here wanting to find a quick replacement battery for my GSM Nexus but cannot trust the advice in this thread. And the main question is where is the moderation? That is why xda has really gone down and forums like RootzWiki have grown so much. The threads here are increasingly filled with confused misinformation on the one hand and flaming insults on the other (this thread isn't flaming only confused).
Hopefully things will improve.
Do the Blaze and the GSM Nexus use the same battery? YES or NO? Can someone definitively answer that question and no other questions in the effort of cleaning up this thread a bit??
When you are talking about battery size, be very clear about what version of the Galaxy Nexus you talk about. The GSM and CDMA versions have completely different batteries.

This forum is not exclusive to the GSM Galaxy Nexus. Both the GSM and CDMA variants are the intended subject matter of this forum.

Well seeing how the title says GSM and in the OP he states its the same 1750mah battery.... then I think he's talking about the GSM Galaxy Nexus.
He didn't say anything about Verizon. He just said the US T-Mobile Galaxy Blaze has the same 1750mah battery as the GSM Nexus. Makes sense.
Blaze = GSM Nexus

Average life of 3800 siedio battery

Hey guys I'm getting four hour screen time on my audio super battery. On three g and no GPS wfi or BT . Is that the average? Was kinda of expecting more. I did do as their instructions said so wanted to know. Thanks
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk 2
I have the hyperion 3800 extended battery, I get 4 hours on screen and still have 10-15% left(Around 15 hour day). I keep LTE and GPS on and have brightness set to auto. Using PA + Franco milestone 5. That is my average, but I heard the seidio is better so I dunno.
I get two and a half on 2100mah
Pitiful compared to my old eptouch tho
Weird I am on bamf jb . Did you do anything train your battery or stuff?
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk 2
That's weird.I get 4+ hours on stock battery with 20hours standby.

The most I did was fully drain it the first 5 times.

Custom rom?
Black bean with franco kernel, overclocked at 1.35ghz . Wifi always on,2g mode

I don't get much better time from the Seidio 3800 than I do from the standard extended life battery. Not enough to carry that big block thing around with me. I got it with my phone bundle so it didn't cost any more.

Same here. Stock gsm battery. Stock rom. Trinity kernel, but I got the same on screen time with Franco too.
Maybe OP is running cdma?
can someone post a link, for the trinity kernel, and stock rom for vzw gnex? I want my nexus fully ICS stock, rooted/unlocked, but still on stock rom, and will try trinity kernel.

Galaxy nexus battery

Hey everyone, I'm new to the forum and just bought myself a T-Mobile s2 to replace a Verizon galaxy nexus. I'll be switching to a prepaid plan. Any who, I don't know if anyone else knew this yet, but I have a Samsung extended battery for my gnex and tried it in the s2 to see if it would work. Sure enough it fits like a glove and the stock door works perfectly with it! Just a heads up for anyone who has thought of it trying it
