Files are located in "storage/sdcard0/S Note" in SNB format.
I already had Samsung cloud save disappeared on me twice. Copy paste those files to extSdCard or save them using Google drive.

Sorry to hear that, I know how frustrating that is. Don't depend on samsung cloud, as I mentioned sync it with Google drive and back up files manually as option to save extSdCard doesn't exists within S-Note.

I can access my Clockwork Mod files via my Gnex, but they are not accessible when trying to copy to my PC. I see the device, I can see the CWM folder, but no backup folder exists. I can see everything else on the device. Tried coping the files to the root with no success. I have been able to access this files in the past.
Ideas?
I haven't had a problem specifically with CWM files, but changing the folder options on my PC (inside the Galaxy Nexus folders) to "show hidden files" usually did the trick...

Small chance, but look in your "clockworkmod" folder and its subfolders and see if there are a file called ".nomedia" which would cause the folder contents to be hidden when connected to the PC in MTP mode.
You can also use the app AirDroid to transfer files through WiFi.

I'm pretty sure that's a solution to the opposite problem. Hence, the files are showing up on the computer and phone file manager, but not in the apps. The .nomedia file tells the apps not to scan the specific folder they're sitting in. For example, yesterday my friends Galaxy Mini wasn't showing any pics in the gallery app or music in the music app, even though they clearly existed on the phone (via file manager and when hooked up to the PC). Deleted the .nomedia file and <insert sound effect here (I.E."BAM!"> all was good.

Thanks for the assistance, but no luck. Using Airdroid at the moment, but is is slower than slow.
Any other ideas are appreciated.

Try Local Sync, it easy and fast.
Thanks
Thanks. Local Sync doesn't seem to be much quicker. Can't find the option to sync one folder only, so it is syncing my entire CWM folder.
Question still stands why the heck I can't see those files via my PC.

Have tried reboots o both PC and phone. Also tried a different PC. Very strange that i can see everything else.
I could try to restore from a previous CWM backup and see if I am able to copy.
Any luck using adb?
ADB

ADB command line is a bit out of my scope. Maybe I'll take a shot at it later. Installed a previous CWM BU, but no success.
I have installed Dropbox app on my phone. Every time I want to read the file, I notice it downloads on my phone and then opened it with the office app. It is too slow in certain occasion. With no internet connection area, it does not work at all. How can I download the files in my phone so I can open them immediately from the phone rather than downloading files on demand. Thanks!
Open a file then click to export it to your sd card. You can also click the down arrow beside the file name and click share. Share to sd card is an option.

Thanks for your advice.
I think this is what you need: https://www.dropbox.com/help/87/en
Had the same problem, found a useful little free app called dropsync on the play store which did the trick.
It keys tot sync files/folders from Dropbox to your device so you don't have to download the files every time, plus it keeps the directories synced (or not, if you should so choose)

Usually. .if you download a file from Dropbox once. It is already on your phone in internal sd/ Android/data/.com.dropbox.xxx/ cache/scratch/files/
You can check it out. .
Once downloaded. .it doesn't download again. .checks cache and sees if it is there. .and opens from cache

I personally use Solid Explorer (similar to windows explorer) to get into my Dropbox and just copy the file to a folder I want. Then I just open it with an app of my choice.
I did a few backups in twrp. Not sure if that's what is causing it. There are a lot of large data files in the miscellaneous tab. Four data.ext4.win and four system.ext4.win. What are these files for? Can I delete any of them?

Those are your backups. They use space on the phone's storage. Connect it to a PC and transfer the files off.
What's the best way to delete twrp backups? It seems like they get saved to 2 spots: \storage\emulated\0\twrp\backup and sdcard/TWRP. Then inside emulated is a copy of sdcard as sdcard0. Where is this emulated thing coming from? I think it's AirDroid. I tried uninstalling AirDroid, and deleting that while tree but I get an error in both root browser apps I use.

Not airdroid...
It's a legacy folder that is added when using CM builds. ..
Do a general search on the subject. ..and you'll find the full explanation for the "O" folder. ..g

I'm using a Bell I317M and recently flashed the official 4.3 update. I have noticed that I see duplicate entries in the gallery and have traced it down to the fact that I have two paths mapped to the SD card: /storage/extSdCard and /mnt/extSdCard
I don't recall this happening prior to the update. I believe it's related to a new way of referencing the external SD cards but is there a way to fix this so that the stock gallery app doesn't think they are completely different locations and show duplicates?
Actually, this is not only restricted to the stock gallery app. I have the stock android gallery app and it's doing the same thing!
Are you using more than one gallery ??
Or more than one camera app?
Both will create and place duplicates...
Just a thought.... g

I have both the Samsung stock gallery app and the Stock JB gallery installed. As for camera, I mainly use the Samsung stock camera app. But how (and why) would it create duplicates? New pics get saved to the DCIM location on the external SD card.
But since I have 2 logical paths to that location (one through /mnt and another through /storage), the gallery shows duplicates....

Have you flashed or dirty flashed roms? I've seen it where this can happen. Most likely the double gallery apps are doing this. Can you delete the non samsung app and see if that worked?

Agreed ....
Use TIBU and freeze one of the apks then delete it's associated duplicate folder...
Then test it...
Also ...make sure that you don't have 2 cameras set as system apps or they will both create folders on boot...g

Thanks for the suggestions. I'll have to look into that.
re: dirty flashing. the only thing I can think of was the in-place upgrade of the official 4.3 upgrade which I flashed through ODIN. I did not wipe prior or after the upgrade.

This is an easy fix that worked for me.... I had a directory that duplicated itself, and two more that wouldn't even show in the gallery.
1. I had a couple of directories duplicate themselves when they were originally created in the emulated directory and I "moved" it to my SD card... then when viewed in gallery it showed two directories "both in SD card"..... all I did was copy this whole directory to a different location on the sd card "copy not move", then went back and deleted the original directory. Then took my copy and moved it back to my original location. Then when viewing gallery only one directory was visible "the right one".
Others recipes may work, but this one did for me...
2. Directories that were invisible were fixed simply by renaming the directory using ES explorer, go to gallery and confirm they now all show then go back in es explorer and rename back to what you had them before "if you wish".......
Now go into Gallery a second time and you should still see the directories with names back to original as you've named them. your fixed!
I think mine got messed up with I created a file called .nomedia inside the directory... while it did remove the directory from view in gallery "like it's supposed to do", when that file was deleted, the directory was still invisible.... Even after hard reboot, clearing system cache and partition cache....but the above fixed it
Hello,
I was trying few things:
1. Download sound card drivers to my Galaxy Tab 3 8.0, then copy them to USB memory stick. When i tried to install them on PC I got a message that *.exe file is corrupted.
2. I had a Google document (docx) and I did convert it to a pdf file with android app. I was able to open it normally on android device but unable to do iton PC. Same issue, file corrupted.
My memory stick is FAT32, never had any problems with it.
What tha hell is going on? Pictures and other media files works great while transfering, these I mentioned about not.
Please help!

I think I may know what happend, but didn't try yet. Probably I did remove memo stick without taping "safely remove..." and data wasn't copied right. I don't know about pdf files if they were converted good but drivers works fine now.
