[Q] [URGENT] Fix vold.fstab problem - Samsung Galaxy W I8150

Hi guys,
I've tried to swap the memory, but i have a problem.. I didnt do backup and now i can't use my sdcard..
How can i put the original vold.fstab in original folders?
I appreciate some help

I've tried to put de original file throught Airdroid but it says "No permission" to access system folders..
What can i do now? I've tried hard reset too the problem continues..

Is there anyway to access system files via USB cable?

If i flash a stock rom solve's the problem or not? :\

have u tried access the system file with root explorer?i learn how to swap frm this site.and it has the original vold.fstab.
mygalaxywonder.blogspot.com/2012/02/how-to-swap-and-unswap-memory-in.html?m=1
hope it will help.

i suggest you to go in recovery. then connect phone with pc with usb cable then go in mounts and storage and activate usb mass storage (don't remember exactly the names). now you can put a rom in your sdcard from pc. then flash the rom. don't know if in this way the sdcard will be detected but give a try
if you are not able to access it then flash the stock rom with odin and you will be ok

But i can't access the sdcard :\
How can i put the original vold.fstab in the original folder again? I try using adb but says "device not found"..
Some solution? :\

Or just someone tell me, if i install a new costum rom? or flash a stock rom the problem will be solved?
Please help

1.accessing the /sdcard using root explorer.if possible, mayb u can transfer the original folder from pc to sdcard via mass storage or bluetooth
then copy it to the /system/etc
2.if theres still a prob n i hv no idea what else to do ill just flash the stock or custom rom.
(sorry.still a newbie too)

look here
by flashing this ROM you get Android 2.3.5 here is link to download ROM
if you don't understand just put a question here or translate with Google
also do not try ROMs not made for you phone just because of possible hardware failure !!
be sure you have Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 Mini E10i
shortly you have to copy ROM to sdcard then enter recovery mode make bakup then flash new ROM
-backup data just in case..
-save all your data from sdcard before !
-after step 6 copy .zip (ROM archive) to sdcard then do step 7
-wipe steps are important to be sure you make a clean install
-format sd-ext this will make a ext3 part on sdcard for data/apps
(it is just a copy/paste from the original thread)
GUIDE TO TRY NEW VERSION WITHOUT LOOSE MOST OF YOUR APPS AND YOUR SETTINGS:
1) enter in recovery
2) backup
3) wipe system
4) wipe cache
5) format sd-ext
6) wipe dalvik-cache
7) install andread 2.2.9 v8f
8) reboot your phone and start for the first time with andread 2.2.9 v8f
9) reboot in recovery
10) install optional fix if you want new contacts and new dialer
11) restore backup from recovery with advanced restore (you must manually restore choosing first data, then cache, then system, then sd-ext reboot your phone and you will have you're phone updated and with all your last settings and apps)

in fact to flash a ROM is not a big deal but be sure to make all steps in that order
read original thread and do not hesitate to ask !
2-6 is do in the xrecovery?
10) install optional fix if you want new contacts and new dialer????
how ?from market?
this is the latest rom without bug?
thank you so much

step 10- find on original thread Fix Contacts and Dialer download and copy on sdcard
you will flash this file by recovery to update dialer/contacts- step 10
It seems Andread 2.2.9 v9f is the last version because link to Andread 2.3.5 v1t is not valid..
It looks like a good rom giving overclocking/undervolt etc but I understand your frustration because is not very clear how to install
You should do this:
-save all your data (photos etc) on PC just in case..
-now you have to copy Andread 2.2.9 v9f.zip to sdcard
also copy the file from Fix Contacts and Dialer link to sdcard for step 10
-now enter your recovery and make steps 1-11
if you get error on step 7 tell me to know

use PC Companion to revert to stock ROM or flash that custom ROM from previous posts have you tried that ?
or if you have a backup enter recovery and use this to revert to previous status
is not bricked and can be solved bricked means problems with bootloader and phone is like dead- will not boot and no chance to solve it without dedicated service tools

yes this can be an answer to wifi problem but the easy way is to flash a new ROM
baseband is the Radio/Modem version it depends of phone model/carrier/Android version
the radio firmware controls low-level functions on the phone like GSM signal/wifi/GPS to upgrade radio firmware will fix connectivity problems, decrease power usage, etc incorrect radio firmware can disable some functions such MMS/3G/Wifi

It's about framework-res.apk you have to replace it but do not get this from a stock rom if you have a custom rom on phone
also if you have a custom rom (you have that rom on PC as archive) with that language support and this is the rom flashed then you can do this
if you just want to add a new language support to a rom this is not easy

[Q] [Rom] I think I bricked my HTC One X.

Hello guys,
I think I'm dying over here.
I just got my HTC One X and since I don't really like Sense I tried to flash it. So here is what I did:
1. Unlock the Bootloader: Everything was fine
2. Flash Clockwork recovery via fastboot: Check.
2. Root the phone via Clockwork Recovery: Still everything worked
3. Flash the Bootimage via fastboot: Still green
4. Flash the actual ROM via Clockwork Recovery:
Here's where the problems started kicking in. The Rom started flashing, erased my internal storage, but then aborted for some reason.
Now I have the following Problem: I can get into HBOOT, I can get into the cwm, but thats it. When I try to get to the internal storage cwm tells me: internalsd was not found.
So I thought maybe I'll just set everything back to start via RUU. Problem is: I can't find a suitable RUU. Fastboot tells me my version is 2.17.111.3, but I can only find RUUs with the id 1.26.111.3. Seems to be an older version? Can I use that one, too? If not, has anyone any idea, what to do? I don't know what to do.
Thanks for your help.
You can mount your sd card within cwm recovery . Go to mounts & storage and then at the the bottom you see mount as USB disk. Copy another ics rom to it. And do the procedure all over. Flash the boot.img from the rom do a factory reset and flash the ics rom.
Try another ICS rom first !

Thanks for the quick answer, I appreciate it.
When I try to mount the whole storage as USB drive windows wants me to format it. Can I do that, or is that a bad idea?
Hmm well it depends if you have personal stuff on it like fotos or something. Of not i don't see the problem. And by this you mean the 25 gig that is available on the sd card ?
And what do you mean with "the whole storage" ? There is only 1 sd card in the phone. And that's the one that will be mounted with the USB disk mount option.
You are using 5.8.4.0 cwm recovery ?
Keep the info coming so help can be provided !

Well, no personal stuff. As mentioned, I literally just bought the phone.
I go into the recovery, then mounts and storage -> mount USB Storage -> plug it into my computer -> windows wants me to format the storage of the device I just pluged in...
Should not be a problem then, maybe it got corrupted somehow....make sure that you format it as fat32. Then copy another ics rom, try viper x ..... Great experience with that one ! Just to make sure the whole shabam works !
Chill!
Well Just wanted to tell u ..Chill u havent BRICKED ur phone.

To be honest, I chose cyanogen mod 9. I really like the vanilla ICS/JB.
One more question: What would I have to to, to use JB roms?
No problem ! It's great that it worked !
Well for as far as i know you have to update the hboot IF the CID number of your phone supports it. You have to flash a firmware zip in a way. I'm not into this. I'm waiting for the original OTA

Well, I see. Hm, the way I see it the changes between ics and jb are way to insignificant, to risk destroying my phone. So, I'll stick with CM9 for the time beeing. But again: Thanks.
Enjoy the phone and have a nice weekend
SD card can't be found
SOLVED SOLVED SOLVED
Tried flashing a rom but the installation failed, so I tried again only to get the message
E:/Can't mount/sdcard/
Rebooted my phone to find that the oririnal rom was still working but its unable to read my sdcard because its unmounted. Can't use usb storage or mount in recovery or use any recovery tools that require sd card access
If the HOX was a sealed unit I would simply take the sd card and put it back in
Is there solution to this problem?
Reformatting my SD card fixed the problem
If you want jb ROMs you don't need to upgrade hboot, only jb sense ROMs need to. You can flash cm10 without any kind of problem.

Big problem deleting some system APK's

Hello, the other day deleting apk's with root explorer in the folder 'sys' I erased a couple of applications that I should not have deleted and now I can't connect to my operator network, and my pc does not recognize the mobile usb.
One of the folders name was 'SEMC...' and something about operator/provider or something like that, if you look the folder you will recognize it.
What can I do?
don't you have a backup? If no, you can try to restore to factory defaults.

If you didn't do a CWM backup your SOL. Otherwise use flashtool to do a fresh install of stock firmware. Note you will lose everything on the phone except the contents inside your sd card.

[Q] Low on space notification -- Please help me

First of all i am new to android, Thank god, i found this fourm.. I recently bought Xperia arc from my unknown friend. He gave me with Android 4.0.4 updated. After watching some Youtube videos, some guy told that Android 2.3 i best for gaming so i flashed to LT15i_4.0.A.2.368_Generic Global using flashtool by reading many guidelines.. After flashing successfully i still got this notification *Low on space" Note that even before flashing i got that. After googling it several times.
Solution said to install some apps, but that dint help... It says there is no movable app. And tried to enable the move to SD card button ->It says i need to root i tried Doomlord's app dint work. i deleted dome application cleared cache, force disabled, ut nothing seems to freeup spaces,
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1488351
Even this link says on step3b, make sure there is no low on sapace notification, but how do i do it?
OK i decided to partition my SD card and move the apps, but i could'int download app2SD because i had no space. Please note that TEMPLE RUN is installing)but cant app2SD). Please advice me to clean up some memory. So that i can install some apps and make my android really work. Shall i update to 4.04 or gingerbread is fine. I am totally confused what should i do. Please help me.. :crying:

Just do a factory reset then make a second partition on your sdcard and use link2sd. Problem solved.
Is factory reset and hard reset are the same?

well, rooting is allways a first step.
i did it that way: (short form only, if u want additional info's, just ask)
1. root
2. put a new rom + gapps on ur sd card
3. flash a prerootet kernel with preinstalled recovery which fits to ur rom
4. flash rom + gapps
5. reboot
6. connect phone to pc
7. backup ur sd card
8. delete ur entire sd card (thats why u have to make the backup)
9. reboot into recovery
10. wipe all
11. search for 'partition sd card'
12. choose ur values that u want
13. reboot into system
14. connect to pc
15. put all files back on sd card
16. download the mod and put in on sd too
17. reboot into recovery
18. flash the mod
19. wipe all
20. reboot
21. YOU'RE DONE!!
press thanks if it helped

Modules.zip is inside of fusion kernel rar file : D No there is no risk in flashing wifi modules because these are just a files required for a custom kernel to work properly. I mean like a drivers in windows so the wifi can work.
Just remember to format system, data, cache partitions in CWM before flashing anything. And I forgot about this http://goo.im/gapps/gapps-jb-20121011-signed.zip these are the newest google apps for JB without this Play store, google maps etc wont work.

yes, no problem to flash the stock firmware,
after reset there wouldn't be any use of external partition so you can change that if you want.
