Was just wondering if someone could recommend me a good sense based ROM
I used LeeDroid a while ago and but it has not been updated in a while.
I know there is no right or wrong answer, I am just looking for peoples opinions.
Thanks for your help,
Opinions are like arseholes - everyone has one!
Best thing is to try them - ViperX and ARHD seem to be flavours of the month at the mo so give them a blast

If you loved Leedroid Tweaks then go for ViperX ROM by j4n87{ the creator of Leedroid Tweaks }
The most customizable Sense ROM possible
If you want sleek and fast Stock ROM with no mods or few mods and good dev support with regular updates try Ordroid ROM{ project butter hacks implemented }
If you want Stock ROM with performance improvements use ARHD ROM without suite tools, its fast and good battery life too
Cheers guys, these are exactly the types of responses I was looking for.
Will give these a shot tonight.
#1: Android Revolution HD :victory:
#2: Insert Coin Evolution :highfive:
#3: maXimus One X :good:
#4: CoreDroid :silly:
There is no such thing has best ROM. Every ROM has unique features. So try please stop comparing ROMs it's disrespectful to the developers who spends hours to develop a ROM just to see it's rated down. We almost lost a kernel developer just because of this comparison.
My 2cents:
1. For a stock sense like experience that is optimized use ARHD
2. For a stock sense with the benefit or having various mods installed in one installation use InsertCoint
3. For a highly customized sense rom use ViperX
All 3 in my opinion are very well developed ROMs and it's a matter of preference on what your looking for.
Insert coin by far, viper x is also very good but didn't seem as smooth

just wanted to make sure, because the sense based rom required specific cid, and unfortunately my HOX is htc_044 thats why its not supported.
Only roms based on HTC's JB require a specific CID. So yes, you can flash CM10
Yes you can flash AOSP ROM (CM10). You need certain CID when you want to flash sense Jelly Bean ROM.
thank you so much for your replies, just another question, do CM10 nightlies have better battery life compare to Sense JB roms? thats my problem, my HOX battery dont last long, thats why i want to switch to JB for better battery life

ow thats sucks! im planning to flash cm10 + bricked kernel but im having a second thought now, sign i guess i need to wait for HTC's official JB for HOX.
edit: Hey CM10 is AOKP based right?
Is there a way to get the AOSP based multitasking on a Sense custom Rom?
I am currently on a JB4.1 custom rom with Sense 4+ but I really hate the multitasking view on sense, loving on the other hand every other detail on the sense ui.
ROMS like ViperX have that option.
Even suite tools in ARHD had it if i remember right!
I'm on ARHD, what do you mean by tools?
Well Suite Tools was found to have kanged code from Viper Tweaks and removed, so now the only way to get AOSP-style multitasking is from ViperX ROM.
ViperX
oh Ya..
OK so OP only way of doing it is flashing ViperX Rom it has lots of tweaks etc.U can do the ASOP multitasking thing as well.
Thanks You'd reccommend the ViperX rom then? I kinda lazy at flashing with this device, it's so frustrating doing the whole hboot/fastboot/boot.img thingy over and over...
A Big Yes!

from what I can see, the viperX rom is still on ICS ?! or am I getting something wrong?
You are bang on
No sir Ur bang on ViperX is still on ICS as the ROM chef has said that till every htc one x is not compatible with JB he wont release viperX JB.Though it is maybe the mostly highly anticipated ROM for the HTC one x !
Honestly ICS and JB not much of a difference at the moment1
It's all about the fluidity for me. I'll wait for the JB. It's a pity that there ain't no other workaround

My personal preference is ViperX, It has many tweaks and features compared to many of the other roms. Really I would say try them all out and see which fits you best with speed and features.
As for installing you can find guides and everything you need to know on installing roms on this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1832891 in the development section. It has everything you need to know!

Yes that is correct. I would recommend TWRP recovery. You would then make a nandroid backup.
all of them
My top 3
BugX, trickdroid, viperX
If you want AOSP, Ice Cold Jelly is quite nice in my opinion.
If you prefer Sense, then ViperX JB would be a solid choice.
Sent from my One X
I prefer renovate because zeroinfinitys awesome sound enchantment and mwilkys awesome tweaks that makes the rom absolutly fast
My Favourite
My personal favourite is Ice Cold Jelly 4.2.1 but if you prefer to use sense, I would recommend Android Revolution HD or Team Venom ViperX

Why you want to flash any other custom ROM if you don't need any features, only a good battery?
I really don't understand this.

if you debloated and make knox-free, stock rom will have good battery life, better camera, and samsung framework features (things you lost in custom rom)
if you want to try a custom rom, i recommend you try Mokee (stable) with last Fak Kernel, mokee has an amazing saving power feature and is the more stable rom (in my opinion), with fak kernel with right settings and undervolt (see in fak thread, or pm me) you will get the best battery life, my goals are the same as yours (battery life), and i already try almost every rom here (right now iam trying LiquidSmooth, but i did not like it...will try next the S5 proyect, and wait for official 4.4.4 to test, but until now, mokee is my prefered rom
Dont know if last fak kernel is working with mokee, when a try it some time ago it give me FC, but i think last version works, cause iam using it with liquismooth right now, but even with the stock mokee kernel, it has amazing battery life.

I'am using last version, get some random reboots (i think its because of fak kernel and undervolt...) i miss some launcher options like mokee have (i know i can change launcher...) i found the rom a little confusing, the way the settings are in config options, and there are too much thinks i dont use and dont like like (side app bar, pie control...etc) .
The rom is good, its just my PERSONAL taste, i like it clean, iam a big fan of mokee, and stock rom, just go to a custom rom for 4.4.4 and better battery like i like i say, just waiting for official 4.4.4 - the quality of camera we loss in custom rom its a big point for me to go back when its released
I will stick with stock ROM first with custom kernel..
Do you mean f4ction kernel?
Because i cant fink fak kernel everywhere

Hi guys, first of all let me apologize up front for posting this question without knowing whether it has been answered billion times before. It's my first Samsung phone after having Motorola for a long time and the transition to the new apps and vocabulary is not that straightforward.
I've got an I-9190 running 4.2.2 from a carrier and they still haven't upgraded to 4.4. But when I entered to the website above, there's a 4.4.2 firmware for my country and my device. The upgrade seems rather easy, but I'm not sure whether it will run or not. I would really like to upgrade to 4.4.2 and I'm quite confident I'd be able to do it using Odin, but my question is if that firmware could run on my device. Any tips are welcome.
Thanks!
