I know it can be frustrating at times especially when you need an answer asap.. but there may be a few reasons why no one answers your question
-its been asked way too many times (search for it)
-no one understands your question or knows the answer
-the evo 4g isn't neccesarily "new" therefore there's less traffic in this forum
-People work have other things to deal with and it may be a while (sometimes a long while) before you get an answer.

Basically covered all the reasons why not to reply.
And when your question is about MetroPCS (I checked), you're less likely to get replies because the vast majority of members here use Sprint.
If there's a specific site for phones flashed to other networks, you'd be better asking there. People can't answer what they don't know.

Don't know your question but if it pertains to flashing to other networks maybe try Howardforums

Not going to beat a dead horse here but another tip here that you didn't hear from me is the bump. You posted that question 5 days ago and I assume was 3-5 pages back by now. I usually give my post a day then go back in and post the "anyone figure this out yet?" bump. Usually it will get a response. Like they already said, this forum is over a year old. Most have moved on and the ones that are here with the answers usually only bounce in and out of their own Rom threads.
teh roxxors is one of the RARE people that come slumming back to us from the 3d world to help out lol.

Lol the whole reason I posted this was to see what replies this would get or should I say an answer. The question wasn't really that common I posted I searched everywhere I got an answer right away elsewhere so it couldn't have been the long while issue. No big deal just seems kinda useless to have to post in q and a at first. Give me the secret society/Howard forums feel.

Then please feel free to remain over at the other forums instead of coming here and whining about how you didn't get an answer fast enough about a topic that hardly anyone here has any experience with.
I'm sure there is plenty of experience on this forum. The experienced ones probably don't hang out in the q and a forums that's all. 90 % of the data provisions for metro will be found on xda and if you search it on another site... guess what it links you here. That being said this thread was started to see if it got attention. Which it did. No whining just sharing my thoughts on why we should be able to post anywhere. Since experienced user's don't chill in the q & a?

Experienced users do post in the Q & A section. And to make a thread just to see if it gets attention seems like a trap / childish [to me] , just like a person would pretend to have a fake bf/gf to see if the other gets jealous. Though regardless, experienced user do post here, I've seen it quite frequently. IF there were some question that wasn't answered and someone knows someone who can help, 9/10 that personal would say, "I don't know how to help, but if you look up _______ they can help you."
Also, the only place you can't post til abot 20 posts or so, if the development section. That's only because a lot of new users post Q & A questions there, clogging up that board, when they belong here. You can still read and download rom, just can't post there til ~20 posts, when you are more 'educated' on the forum. No bad mouthing, just saying.
I totally understand cause yea you do see it all the time where at the end of a guide full of roms. Someone asks what's a good rom or where do I find it. We should be able to take a test on experience to bypass the 20 post thing. My frustration came from knowing my answered would of lyed on this forum but no one even viewed it for days. I'm over that's what I get for getting a device that's over a year old. But hey its a big step up from my old one.

Well a lot of people still have the evo. And you can always try the bump, or if you see someone active on the forum, shoot them a pm; they'll most likely help you.

We had a bounty for bubby to get the money to buy our phone. And I remember there was one guy who (was awesome!!) donated over $200 as well as gave bubby a computer for him to work on.
I have been following bubby on his twitter and it doesn't seem that he's working on our phone. He's working every day but just not on our phone, not at all.
But, by simply looking at his twitter it's not entirely clear whether he is or not working on our phone. I hope it's just me that read it wrong.
Edit:
Several people confirmed that he's working on his Epic 4G Touch, not our phone. He has not posted a single twit regarding anything he has done / is doing / is considering doing for our phone. He has not been responding to my questions on twitter, and people have been saying he either dance around when asked about our phone or not respond at all.
Edit:
I know the concept that a donation is a donation and is not like you are paying for something, but...
Edit:
While he has not developed a thing for any phone other than his own Epic 4G Touch, he has been asking for donation for numerous other phones. We should probably interfere and refer the people in other forums (potential victims) to this thread.
Edit:
Just a thought, whoever donated, are you able to charge it back through your credit card company with a reason of "service not delivered"? If you are lucky maybe you can get your money back? I know it's a "donation" but bubby did promise in the bounty thread to deliver lots of stuff, he even said he already got ICS booted etc and played us with "here's a bunch of goodies coming up from me just donate to me and stay tuned" ****.
If your following him on twitter you already know the answer to your question.

Hard lesson learned for those involved? Sure.
Kick in the balls from his part? Absolutely.
How is that not 100% theft? Atleast fundamentally.
To the laptop owner, has he sent that back?
By looking at his twitter it's not exactly clear whether bubby is or not working on our phone. Can someone else share some opinion?

Its sad but truthfully some can be misleading as we all know. What is done here is in fun hobby and practice...to donate is great and needed....but only after said item has been created...
Moral wise...f ya its wrong and ill never support his present or future work.
Reality .... he probably cares less and can only verbally be punished....I think much more in order such as ban of account or other....
To mislead and not give up what was given....well some can be gutter trash here but hopefully not to long........

I think its effed up especially after just reading what mickeycobra04 posted about other thread. **** is nuts well deja vu if u wanna get technical. And the crazy part is right when the s2 came out he made stock kernel tar the stock recovery and i think a few other things. He basically reeled everybody in so they would know he wasnt just a nobody and could develop a little then he says cm, ics, asop and that rite there was like music to our ears so we start donating and he stays active. Then after some time he gets his phone and a laptop! And posted like 2 times since. Now i know everyone has lives and **** like that but cmon bro its been a month maybe a little less. Bring something to the table man it aint cool.

at the risk of being a **** to a 15 year old kid, let me try to help you understand. if you go over to the fascinate/continuum forums and ask them about bubby, you will hear nothing good about the kid. he has been making promises to android users for a while now, and RARELY coming through with anything more than a system dump or a stock kernel here and there. i know its said that donating with expectations isnt donating, but in the android community, why do people donate? we want to see someone make **** happen. well, this kid is a talker and not a doer. i donated to help get roman his gs2, i was rewarded with jugs(kernel), and juggernaut(rom). in the future, people should do a little more research before they dive in and give a person(15 year old kid) money for a phone, or a laptop.
He is in the skyrocket forums asking for donations also. I hate to say it but I seriously think he is in the wind folks. Its sad because this will prevent people from donating to serious developers. I have a corporate T-mo account and we got 25 galaxy s2's as a promo and he begged me for one of them and I was very close to sending him one in the beginning but thank god my very smart wife told me I'd be crazy to send some kid that I dont know from adam a 600 dollar phone. Well live and learn and just hope that maybe he will still come thru. But not looking to likely. Hell team kang has released 3 roms since Bubby supposedly got his phone.

I think that those that whove donated should bomb the Skyrocket, Epic and whatever else thread Bubby frequents towards get the message across. Post the links of these threads that shows proof of Bubby not delivering what he claim he'd deliver and maybe he'll answer.

Is there an IRC channel for our device? I know back on my e4gt we have a few. Anybody want to start one if we dont have one yet?
EDIT: silly me... found this one #SSGNII but its pretty dead the the moment.
I'm sure it will grow but as of now the n2 just barely came out thats why
Cuz I am out of this *****, and no I censored myself The E4GT was my first android phone and I can't say there were any regrets. This section will probably be kept alive even longer than its predecessor thanks to the device moving onto Boost and Virgin. Long live the E4GT but WiMax please die a horrible death you deserve it. From the 4.0 leaks to the super brick bug and beyond who thought after 2 years some of us would be hanging onto this relaxing on the latest 4.4?
Probably very few people around here remember me but the day I got the phone was the day I started hosting files for contributors and developers. Some time after sfhub got busy I had taken on mirroring for BriefMobile and thats when I realized I was in over my head. Pushing GB per minute over a metered uplink I had to scale back and I eventually quit.
I have to give props to people like RWilco and Garwynn as well as the people who support them. I felt bad leaving out but between the people I supported leaving and myself as well they stepped in and continue to support this device. All of the people who made CM possible from 9 on up to 11 which I currently run and the people who support those people the thanks might sometimes be silent but know we love you guys.
Tomorrow my service is off and I am stuck on some pos Alcatel until my GSM Nexus arrives. Carrier? Doesn't matter but right now getting 5-6 Mbps down on a 7.2 Mbps 3G modem is better than what I have had from sprint for some time.

See that used to be a sticky lol. Now we have some why are you leaving sprint thread which to be honest is probably more relevant. Because its mostly about that. Even living in a 4G LTE area I would still have to deal with Sprints 3G if I upgraded and its horrible.
Looks like someone needs to update the Wiki to point to RWilco's downloads. I didn't know SFHUB's primary mirror no longer had this files. I still have them but last couple months I have been through so many server wipes I stopped putting them back up.

Stop in and say "HI" sometime. I'm probably headed to the Nexus 5 next year when my upgrade is ready. Good luck and hope to see you soon. thanks for hosting back in the day, that is when I first started flashing roms.
It is in the roll-up sticky http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2471678
And even if you censor yourself, the intent is still there and really not appropriate for a development forum.
Best of luck with the new phone and if you would like please continue in the Goodbye thread which will bring it back to the top page.
Thanks

I'm having issues with a Samsung Galaxy S2 T989 where every time I place the phone on speaker, the call becomes choppy and blanks out completely at times, sounding as if I had no signal whatsoever. This started out with the stock rom so I decided to root it. I went from ICS to JB on Cyanogenmod. I flashed a newer radio because it would otherwise not let me flash anything. I tried flashing UVMC6 and it did not improve it. I then flashed UVMB1 (the 4G Blaze radio) and it still does the same thing. Call quality over the ear piece is good, but it all goes out the window when I use speakerphone.
I checked off the box on "Noise Suppression" and it doesn't do anything at all. The sound is still choppy over speakerphone. I've searched up on the forum, and so far the threads that come up are from 2012 or early 2013, but I assume that T-Mobile has made new radio/baseband settings since then.
My question is, what is the most stable radio/baseband to use on the T989 to get rid of the speakerphone problem, or is this problem a design flaw since the speaker is near the microphone?
All help is appreciated.

Thanks for your very short, almost arrogant, half of an answer. We are here to help each other and by doing so teaching us something that someone taught you at one time.
I se that you have said in two different posts that there are only two that will work in a build that new but, in both posts you have neglected to tell which two those are. You would think that if one was tryingto be helpful instead of posting to be an ass and belittle a person who doesn't know as much as you, that you would be kind enough to have those two versions listed in the two very informative posts you spent so much time writing.

Here you go. I searched for you and/or anyone and found this.....
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1895400
First 2 radios in the list in the opening post. Apparently the mirror links are the ones to use.
Without scolding people for not searching like many will do, or giving them attitude, I like to encourage people to search for things... without a big long lecture. I'm sorry if that didn't sit well with you.
I gave a quick and precise answer. Possibly assuming most know what the 2 radios are.... it's been a long time this way on 4.1.2 or anything above. My bad.
Take care.
I appreciate the response and the link and the apology. I wasn't looking for either of those from you though. I was merely reading different posts and replies and it amazes me how lazy or just not driven to learn and read most of the new, and not so new , members are about about searches to find what they are looking for. It does get to be time consuming for some searches and some don't even try.
On the other side of the coin,it does get old reading questions that are answered in stickies or that one sees two or three times a week being asked throughout the site.
But, as a member who isn't too far from still being a noob but, has enough time in to see both sides of the fence , there is and always has been an almost elitist, ego among members who do know more than most. It can be intimidating to ask for help because of the way they get replies. Some people k ow nothing about cell phones that come here looking for help and then get berrated for posting in the room, or not knowing what OS or kernel is installed on their device.
I just wanted to remind you that you were probably one of those guys for some time and that posting a quip that doesn't do anything to help or guide the OP to the right answer. It just adds to the stress he or she is under because their device is not working right and they don't to feel stupid for not k owing something. We all know that feeling and it sucks.
I hope he got the links and one of them works. Thanks for posting the links and what you said. We're allhere for one basic goal. To learn and teach. Let's keep to that course on the ship were sailing on XDA

You're entitled to your opinion. Many would have found my original reply more than good enough. As many have in the past. Some maybe not. Remember tho, I don't work for XDA, I'm not paid to help anyone. I'm entitled to say or not say whatever I'd like. (Within XDA rules of course) As are you.
I'm sorry my original reply didn't contain enough info for you personally.....
But some of your accusations are rather insulting.... You don't get a green name on XDA being the type of person you have accused me of being. Yes many around are exactly like you describe..... I am not.
And I'm not here to take part in arguments either.
So let's agree to disagree. And leave it at that.
And keep in mind, blasting people for not helping "enough" or in the way you hoped for will probably get even less help and just more arguments.
Anyway, take care.
