Get Franco updater app from Google play store.
Sent from my GT-P3113 using xda premium

...and unless things have changed Franco only boosts headphone volume.
Try this to get a system wide volume boost: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1748803

I got Franco updater but i can boost only headphone volume.
I will try with BEATS+XLOUDER!.
How can I reinstall the original kernel???
Thank you!!

Franco has a 3 level audio boost but it isnt quite as powerful as some of the audio mods that work on multiple kernels. Not telling you to migrate from Franco his kernels are the Bees knees just giving you options.
My small guide is here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2117648
This does require the new AOKP 4.2.1 rom but it is really really good and you will notice a difference in every app including in call.
I hope this helps :highfive:

What about people that don't wanna use AOKP? Posting in every sound thread with links to your guide isn't going to help fix it unless they're willing to change to another ROM. Might be worth getting onto the dev of the app and have them develop it for all ROMs

Hadn't used franco.kernel in about 6mo but the vol boost feature always caused me more problems than it was worth.

[MOD] Speaker volume boost using DSP Manager (CWM zip - Works better than vol+ apps)

Hi, I just found this and went with flashing it on GummyNex ROM.
It works well. Better and cleaner than vol+ apps in my opinion.
Credit goes to CyanogenMod and RootzWiki teams. I'm just letting users know about it and requesting ROM creators to include this in their builds. Thanks

beamed in through my brain ...
To those who have tried, does this boost only the media/music volume? My ringtones seem to play at the same volume. Thanks.
Im using paid version oferece Volume+, it is working very well with ringtone.

Thank you very much
Can someone please explain how to turn up in call volume and external speaker volume (speaker phone, notifications, etc) using DSP manager. I have been using Volume + pro but figured I would also try out DSP
Thanks
My Settings:
Enable Bass Boost
Effect Strength: Extreme
Enable Equalizer
Preset: Bass Booster
Can I flash this with a rooted Stock Rom? Volume+ doesn't seem to work here.

Very good find. Working on AOKP 14.
Hi,
I use Volume+ (pro).
I wanted to test ...Nothing for me for notifications and ringtones...
I flashed your ZIP and of course before i uninstalled Volume+ due to incompatibility between the two.
For me no improvement for notifications and ringtones, light for music/media for speaker (not bad). And i searched for best settings...
What i mean, those who say that Volume+ does not work would not be to bad to bad settings???
Volume+ offers much settings, that may need to be tested...For both my Sensation and Gnex i uses this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1362335 (there are other settings arround the web,but those are good for me)+ i ticked Speaker Modifications in the first part and Virtual Room Effect,in the last part just adjust the Volume Level for your desire...and it works for all the sounds coming out of speakers and, yes, included the ringtones,etc...
For me,aokp rom,Volume+ works great.
For example on my HTC Sensation with CM7 i never heard an improvement in ringtones (comes with DspManager) but with Volume+ i see the difference...
So,sorry for the little off-topic (i know it's not the topic of Volume+),but since I just test your ZIP i give my opinion about it...
In any case i do not understand why Volume + does not work for everyone (ringtones/notifications) ,problems in settings
And why DspManager works for a few for ringtones/notifications and not for the others
And "vice versa"
Strange for me

Same question. I haven't (yet) flashed any ROMs, still using stock, but rooted.
Completely agree that DSP manager is better than volume +. I've gotten far better results

Thank you!
Works amazing on AOPK 14
very nice and loud oh yeaaahhhh
I thought DSP manager effected all apps? Only music 4.0 is getting the audio changed by dsp manager. No change using uber music.

Make sure you go into Settings, then Sound and click Music Effects. You will then choose "Volume+" instead of the stock "MusicFX". I tried Volume+ and it didn't work until I did this. I hope this helps anyone else having a problem with Volume+.

You can modify these settings using the Trickster Mod App.

How to increase sound volume?

I'm running Xylon MBQ's latest nightly and ak kernel 225. I have tried xLouder audio patch, followed instructions, ran both EIZO and beats dsp manager but neither of them had any impact on audio quality or volume.
Anyone know why this might not be working? does the kernel override the sound effect? Few months ago, Xylon had really loud volume but now I am struggling to listen when I'm on call outside. It's frustrating.
Any other ways of increasing in call volume and other volume?

Is there only one patch or mod that increases the volume?
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk 2
theres another patch you can try if you're on a 4.2.x rom. just find the download for the expermental patch in the OP and choose which rom you have and flash it. try the latest nexus louder patch too, Misledz just came out with v7
Are you using volume boost in trickster mod? Set it from 0 to 3, that is if your using a kernel that supports it, most of em do but that would solve your volume issues systemwide

most kernels when you do that though in conjunction with the Nexus Louder mod will cause audio to drop out, mainly with music. if you're going to do that, just keep in mind if OP or anyone else has any problems to lower that value back down to see if it fixes it.
Here is my setup.
Works well for me. No drops either.
Oh and btw I am on AK SKL latest

Clear Sound Effects, Low Bass Boost on S3 (GT-I9300)

Hi ALL!
Ever wanted to have a real bass boost effect on your Galaxy S3 GT-I9300? Sure you have heard off beats bass mods but have they ever worked for you?
So far, I have been tinkering around on Sony Audio effects mod, Beatsbass mods and none of them gave me the best bass boost I ever wanted until I tried using this one small library and audio config. I have created a flashable zip for this so just flash it via clockwork recovery.
Requirements for Your Satisfaction:
- Android default MusicFX
- Google Play Music app
- Remove other soundfx modifications
- Stock kernel (may work with other kernels but not tested)
- Stock ROM (may work with other ROMs but not tested)
- Android Jelly Bean ROM(really, who still uses ICS on S3 GT-I9300?)
Whats Diff/New:
- 6 Graphical Equalizer for frequencies: 15Hz, 62Hz, 250Hz, 1kHz, 4kHz, and 16kHz
- Lower and "real" Bass Boost effect
Compromises:
- No presets available. (You may try the settings I have in the screenshot)
- 3D Effect is not as cool as SRS but stereo range is wide on this mod. (the 3D effect only adds echo. The reason for that is to make sure that the bass boost is not overpowered - not sure if that is right description to it.)
Ever since I discovered the rich bass boost plus clear audio on this mod I made, I have been listening to music all day with my S3 plus an Audio-Technica ATH-SJ33 headset, I felt like I have the whole 5.1 Sound System in my head.
Hope you'll love the effects.
Added Android JB 4.3 version.
Fixed the Android JB 4.3 version flashable zip file.
Added support for Android KitKat 4.4 version.
High Quality = High Quality
And yes, you'll need a headset/earphones that can handle low frequencies like 5-10Hz with high tolerance as this can relatively damage "cheap" headsets.
WARNING: Do not expose your ears to very high volume with this mod for a very long time.
Or your ears will explode!
Can you make this for CM 10.1?
Using this on UltimaROM 12.0.1 and playing modern swedish death metal with low end frequencies at pretty high levels (not selfdistorted but close) is freaking enjoyable thru my Koss headphones. Good work, dude! You gived me an reason to get some extra boner from now on.

You need to have the android default musicfx.
Works great with the leaked 4.2.2!
Tried to install it via TWRP on my null_ rom running with Siyah Kernel.
TWRP told me the installation was complete but I can't find anything on my smartphone?
Seems like it didn't work.
But even tho nice work :*

Unfortunately not. I'll try to see if I can make it work on 4.4.2.
