Hi, I'm a bit confused here to what my options are regarding the all share dongle and I'm wondering if there's an all in one solution for me here... I have a Samsung 530U3B laptop with Intel WiDi built in, the S3 will have Wifi direct and wireless display capabilities. I'd like to be able to mirror my S3 onto my monitor to play games etc and stream videos, though the BBC iplayer app on android is pretty poor and there's no on demand TV really, so it would be nice to stream iplayer on my laptop to the monitor wirelessly. Is there an all in one solution for me? Or would I need to buy a separate dongle for the S3 and my Samsung laptop?
Many thanks

This is a question you will only get an answer after the device released and people are able to mess with both
So I found this on ebay and it claims to work with SGS3.

Has anyone got this one yet? I wonder if it will stream movies in Full HD mode from SGS3 to my TV.
They'll stream through DLNA maybe, but the whole point of the Media link is to mirror your device, which can only be done in the One S and X.

I am looking to buy one of these for use with my Asus TF700 and Galaxy Note 2 (both running JB_.
Here comes my stupid question (I'm new to android): I'm curious why you would need the OTG adapter if the GS3 already has bluetooth connectivity built in (watch video in reference thread). I was hoping to connect the Asus and the Note 2 to my TV, then use this bluetooth keyboard while sitting on the couch. Is this possible?
Thanks for the help.
yes it would be compatible out of the box. even non-bluetooth keyboards are recognized instantly(those would been usb otg but Bluetooth takes care of that for you)

HI guys. Can someone please recommend a decent method of being able to wirelessly display my nexus 7 FHD on my 42" LCD TV. It isnt a smart tv so I need a device to do this but I want to be able to play games on my tv using the Nexus as well. I have seen a few dongles for about £30 on amazon but they all have dodgy reviews. The cheaper the better but I obvs want something that will work flawlessly. Please can you guys give me some advice and your recommendations?
Many thanks

The SlimPort is a great device. I do not personally own it but I know people who own it and they say it works flawlessly. Since I cannot post links yet I suggest you go to Amazon and type SlimPort.
In android 4.4 in the display section of the settings there is an option to cast screen and since it says "cast" it leads people to believe the chromecast will be updated at some point to mirror screens, however it doesn't have that capability at this time but it will be a great option when/if it happens!

I was surprised when the Nexus 7 cast screen feature in the display settings worked with my Samsung All share Cast dongle, but it isn't that good by any means. But then, not even my Samsung S3 does screen casting to the dongle very efficiently either. So, slimport tethering is the way to go using a Bluetooth keyboard with touchpad to remotely control the Nexus.

The Netgear PTV3000 has been pretty flawless for Miracast so far. Just make sure you don't have any other devices operating on the 5 GHz band when you're using it. HTH.
Really would love for there to be a way my wiimote to my HTC One M8 - I loved this on every single android phone before Kit Kat - but evidently support for this in the native OS has gone away? Is there any way to pair the wiimote with our HTC One M8s on the stock rom?
I ask because I have a few wiimotes+nunchucks and would love to play games using the MHL HDMI out functionality of my device on any HDMI tv. But instead I have to use USB OTG with a wired xbox controller and am therefore unable to use the MHL USB HDMI out at the same time because the port is already being used.
I don't have any Sony PS3 bluetooth controllers or any other bluetooth controllers, don't want to have to shell out the 50 bucks. Would really like to utilize my existing wiimote+nunchuck as I have done for years on Android!
Bumping this. Any ideas?
Not 100% sure, but I think wiimote support for android was dropped for anything later than 4.3. Try sixaxis controller.
