**Stuck in Bootloops, Cant Pass the HTC welcome Screen
ok, calm down, everyone has this problem while flashing, i get it so many times, they can cause by the following reasons
bad flash
wrong rom
you forgot to flash the kernel
wrong kernel
messed up the order in flashing
ok,
1.Bad flash-this occurs if the .zip file is corrupted
solution:= re flash the ROM, if still no, download the file again and try
2.wrong ROM- u may have downloaded a ROM that is not for ur device or a ROM which is of not ur description
for example u might me a PRIMO C device/CDMA and u downloaded a PRIMO U/GSM ROM
3.Wrong Kernel-Kernel is the link between ur software and hardware, if u flash the wrong one like the case mentioned above , download the correct one and re flash
4.[ FLASHING YOUR KERNEL SHOULD BE THE LAST STEP][UNLESS U HAVE A S-OFF DEVICE]

flashing a kernel should be the 1st step mate.. soo u can directly go into recovery after kernel flashing and then proceed with rom and gapps flashing... how on earth are you supposed to go to fastboot from recovery ehh? 1st booting than fukn waiting on the boot screen...
all this voids if u use twrp still.. flashing kernel 1st is highly recommended always and everywhere

I hope I get a fairly quick response to this Followed some advide in that thread, flashed a kernel (I thought) using the All In One Tool, ever since, I've been stuck in a bootloop. Obviously I have access to my bootloader and TWRP (thankfully). My recovery backup returns the same results though.
Im new to this so I'll try toprovide all the info I can.
Followed the TUT on how to Unlock Bootloader and Root 2 days ago.
Yesterday, using the All In One tool, flashed TWRP onto phone.
Was unable to Flash AOKP JellyBean 4.1.2 so I asked for help again (ROM was flashed, but stuck on Initiating Swagger Boot)
Tried using All-In-One to flash (what I thought was) a kernel, since then, my phone just boots continuously or not at all (depending on if I wipe or whatnot)
While at work, I was able to Flash the AOKP rom and Boot into it, but after about 1 minute of use, it reboots.
This is where I'm at now.
My bootloader says
***UNLOCKED***
PRIMOC PVT SHIP S-ON RL
HBOOT- 1.57.0000
RADIO- 1.00.05.0929
eMMC-boot
Jun 18 2012, 10:22:43
I'm using the latest version (2.3.3.) of TWRP
Is there anyway I can find, and delete, the boot.img I flashed with All-In-One, that caused this bootloop?
Thanks again for helping.

Alright
First, turn your phone on and go to the play store
Search 'rom manager and install it from the play store
After it gets installed, there should be some agreement crap. Agree to that.
There should be an option saying 'flash clockworkmod recovery'. Click that.
Confirm the device model saying 'marvel' and some couple of stuff. Then it will download and install by itself.
When there is a message saying that its done, take the battery out of your phone and boot into fastboot by pressing volume down and the power button (I suppose you know how to do that )
Select the recovery option and see if it works
Done

Hi all! I'm trying to put my Hox back to stock but can't extract the rom.zip
Any help greatly received
Sent from my HTC One X using xda app-developers app
From where are you trying to extract the rom.zip?? What are you trying to do exactly?
If you want to go back to full stock, you can either restore a nandroid backup or run a RUU for your device...
I'm using the guide on here, it says I need to extract the ROM.zip from the ruu then flash them, relock the boot loader then run the RUU, I'm running cm10.1 at the moment.
Sent from my HTC One X using xda app-developers app
To run a RUU, you need to download the ruu, lock yoir bootloader and the run the ruu with admin privileges... That's it...
Which ruu are you using? What is your version-main??

I think you must restore nandroid backup.
Dowload this ruu : http://bugsylawson.com/files/file/1...-r-radio-5120416229-release-302015-signedexe/
Lock your Bootloader : fastboot oem lock
Run the ruu with admin privileges.. You will be full stock once again.!

You cannot extract ROM.zip from RUU anymore
HTC encrypt them.
Why do all the guides say to extract the ROM.zip? Sorry people a little confused :-/

What is the problem here?? Just lock your bootloader and run the ruu with admin privileges. It will take you back to full stock. In some ruus you can extract, in some you can't. It's just the way it is!

im trying to explain u that. in my concept i think that a revolutionary phone and a carrier contained phone don't have same features because the revolutionary phone is build for developing purpose and a carrier contained phone is build for normal use.

Kinda self explanatory, what does rumrunner do to the phone. What parts of the phone are effected? Does a new kernel get updated? If I flashed a stock kernel would I be theoretically "stock"? I'm trying to fix my phone because I managed to get s-on and I want to go back to stock and send my phone for warranty.

Well. S-ON is how your phone came.. so that would be stock, for the bootloader.
rumrunner sets the S-ON to S-OFF (Security On/Security Off)
Once a phone is turned S-OFF it's like you have FULL control of the phone. You can flash a ROM and a kernel as many times as you want (as long as it is made for your phone)
You can be rooted and flash ROMs while not being S-OFF, but S-OFF is like the best of the best for HTC.
You can set the flag back from S-OFF back to S-ON for like you want say a warranty purpose.
This is when the "RUU" comes in handy.
Problem is you need to be S-OFF to run it..
So, you would have to re-run rumrunner, to get S-OFF again, run the RUU, (this will set you back to 100% stock)
then you can run the command to set you to S-ON and you should be good to go.

Well I used rumrunner and managed to set my phone back to s-on using an adb command. If I try to run rumrunner again it doesn't work and says to "READ". So now I have to somehow get s-off. The forum says you need stock ROM and stock kernel, can I flash a stock kernel and then run rumrunner?

Don't forget, rumrunner needs stock EVERYTHING, including ROM, kernel recovery, s-on and a locked bootloader. So if you still have adb connectivity, relock the bootloader. Search the forum for the fastboot command to return to "locked", not "relocked". @scotty1223 made a guide to change the bootloader.

What ROM are you running? Why do you believe you only need to flash a stock kernel and not a stock ROM? You're missing something which is why it says to "READ". You aren't following the directions exactly.

Wasn't aware we had a signed RUU that works with S-On...
All I can find is the encrypted one that only works with S-Off

Flyhalf has a signed RUU uploaded on his site.
http://flyhalf205.com/?dir=RUU
can I use any of those while being s-on?

The signed RUU (the one with the really absurdly long filename) is specifically for flashing while your phone is still S-ON.

There is no special method. If it's an encrypted RUU then it works for S-On.
Basically, follow the FIRST link that google returns.
I thought you had to be s-off to use " fastboot oem lock"?

No, you don't.
If you tried it you would have noticed.
I'm not trying to sound like a douche, but we've kind of given you all the tools you need to complete what you're trying to achieve.
Sorry I just haven't had time yet to actually reset my phone and I was trying to get all my questions out so when I did finally have time I wouldn't have to ask questions then. One last question, am I correct saying the ruu resets all data on the phone?

Yes, it does.
Also, when you fastboot oem lock, you will see an error message but before it you will see that the bootloader did lock, so don't worry. I just tested it out.
If you want to have the current status on your bootloader just type in fastboot reboot-bootloader
I have HTC Desire 600 working on 4.1.2...with build number 1.16.401.3
HBOOT version 1.02.0001
Rooted and Bootloader unlocked with S ON!
I tried to update my phone but it couldnt work and then i downloaded file from xda(stock rom-1.20.401.3) and manually flashed it from zip on sd card via CWM Recovery. My mistake was this that i didnt wipe data/factory reset before flashing new rom...but then i am stuck at the boot screen where HTC and BeatsAudio logo comes...My phone is unable to start. I the tried repeating the process again and again, but of no use..
I dont have Nandroid backup either...:crying:
now my phone goes into bootloader or recovery or that boot screen just...:crying:
Now i need help from anyone of u that what should i do to make my phone working...Any methods to flash some rom with S-ON?
Please guide me and u can give me links for the rom or recovery or whatever here...It doesnt matters whether its custom rom or stock or official...I just need my phone to be in a working condition.
How should i install the rom now with S-ON or how to S-OFF if anyone can help me out...
Thanks in advance...Hope to hear from you people soon

No that's only for the original HTC Desire, not the new HTC Desire 600.
I need more information on what you downloaded ( Provide Links ) , are you htcdev unlocked, what recovery, hboot information...

It still persists..Let me tell you from beginning.
1. Went into CWM recovery and formatted cache, dalvik cache and wiped to factory reset.
2. Then clicked on 'install from zip' and installed the rom which you gave in other thread,,,i.e.
Signed JB 4.1.2 HTC Desire 600 Sense5 rooted v.1.16.401.3 - https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B6WB.../preview?pli=1
3. Then rebooted the device into bootloader and clicked Fastboot.
4. Extracted the rom file and copied the boot.img to fastboot folder.
5. Then opened the CMD window and gave the command fastboot flash boot boot.img
6. Got this message there
sending 'boot' <16383KB>... OKAY [2.719s]
writing 'boot'... OKAY [1.938s]
finished. total time: 4.672s
7. Then click on REBOOT from bootloader.
8. Device rebooted but still stuck on that HTC with beatsaudio logo...Can't get out of it...
NOW TELL WHERE I AM DOING THE PROCESS WRONG?
REMEMBER MY BOOTLOADER IS UNLOCKED WITH S-ON..
Can downloading kernels from htc dev website help in any way or relocking once again bootloader?

No, I could help him fix it if he new exactly what build he was on before he flashed the rom

Sorry but my first thought would have been the same as you, 24ky, to flash the boot.img with fastboot. I know nothing about the Desire 600 but perhaps you can't install ROMs without s-off. A perfect example of why people need to make backups before rushing into flashing ROMs.
