Does your screen sometimes when you swipe down it goes the opposite way? Sometimes when I swipe down on the screen, it goes up instead of going down.
Inverse swiping.
Bump, anyone?
Never gotten this. Spilled anything on your screen? Gotten it wet? If not might just be a faulty screen, or maybe your fingers are to oily
I have never done anything to the screen. It's been in a case since I got it and I have kept it away from things that could possibly destroy it. I think it does this only on cm10 and not stock jb.

Could be a Cm10 issue? Idk I've never had it before...
sometimes I get that when the screen is dirty with fingerprints, oil, airbubbles in the screen protector, or a water bead on the screen
Yes I've had this happen. Actually very often. Haven't given the screen a good cleaning in a while maybe that will help.
It could be the oleophobic coating or w/e wearing off. I wish there was a way to reapply.

I had a weird problem...
I clean my screen regulary within few days, always with my t-shirt or screen cloth. But always when i breath hot air i get this bubbles, which I can feel under my nails but whitin a 2 seconds the screen comes back to normal, and I can't feel or see them until the screen is pretty dirty...
This bubbles must be from the fat on our fingers and sweat....
I tried with LCD cleaner spray and it didn't solve my problem even if I scratch it down with my nails, it can't go off...Pissed
Does anyone has similar problems?
woah dude!
If there hasn't been some kinda film/screen protector put on that you don't know about, I'd be returning that quick smart.
Well, i talked to SiMobil, which is working under vodafone here in Slovenia, and they said that this will probably look as my foult... :-(
I hope they'll help me, rather than returning it as working...
I tried to search for screen fail, but no luck.
Here's my scenario...phone sitting on flat surface (wooden desk). Occasionally, I feel a vibrate, through the desk, when I turn the phone on, it starts flipping through the touchwiz screens, and vibrating pulses like someone is touching the screen. I don't really believe in ghosts...but?? LOL
Has anyone else experienced "phantom touches" on their home screen ??
Also, sometimes when in the middle of a text, it'll jump to the home screen as well.
THoughts???
One time when I got my screen wet it started doing stuff like that. Have you gotten it wet at all? If not I would take it back to sprint or maybe if you are rooted try a different rom or even odining back to stock to see if that helps. If you decide to take it back to sprint though make sure you un root it because they will laugh in your face and say your the one that messed it up by rooting.
I've seen this issue somewhere here in the Q & A before. I don't know if it was this exact post but similar issues:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1446036&highlight=ghost
Happened to my Droid Incredible after taking a swim in the toilet bowl
Thanks guys...never been wet. Ever!!
I've been having the same issues for about 2 months now. I think the only solution is to get a replacement
I've been noticing lots of phantom taps and frustratingly, times where the s pen would draw on the screen while I was lifting it up to write another letter, causing my writing to become a slurred mess of words as if I had never lifted the pen.
Today I was bored and played around with the screen when I noticed that happening, then I decided to clean it off with a piece of kleenex and a tiny amount of rubbing alcohol. Bam, problem gone.
Soooo.. just how much fingerprint/face grease is enough to do that? I have really dry skin so it's not like my screen was even that dirty to begin with.I feel as if I might have to ask for the phone to be swapped again as it's HYPERSENSITIVE sometimes.
Not sure to be honest with you cause I am always cleaning my screen lol

Yeah, that only happens when mine is quite dirty. And it already feels like the freakin' summer here so that doesn't help things. I have a large microfiber/silk wipe that I keep around for TV's and computer screens after cleaning them with traditional methods to remove the fine smears. Maybe you you keep one around cause either it's dirtier than you think or your digitizer (capacitive touch screen) is screwed.
I don't think mine is doing it because it's dirty anymore, it just does it because the digitizer is a piece of junk.
it's been acting up thus morning and I cleaned it and it's still acting up.
grrr hate this phone sometimes
I don't have this issue as I am constantly cleaning my screen. Maybe a little OCD of me, so be it.

So, people are starting to report that the oleophopic screen coating is wearing off on the S9, and mine definitely is doing the same. The entire middle section (used the most) looks gray and disgusting even after a couple minutes of use.
How's everyone else's screens (without a protector) doing? Any specific cleaning methods that have worked for you? I used a spray specifically for screens, but that's obviously not working the best...
Don't use one, never have since the S5, just use a soft cloth / t-shirt to clean mine, Gorilla Glass means you don't have to worry too much about scratching it unless you're careless
I've never used a screen protector and also just use a soft cloth. I don't remember ever getting a scratch on a phone screen with Gorilla glass.
Go into strong light and look at all the microscratches you'll have, always use a screen protector

Wrong, NONE. I've pulled out a couple of old Moto phones and there aren't any scratches on them either. I checked a couple of my wife's old phones that she throws in her purse and none on those either. I've actually got an old Moto E with my golf GPS app on it that I keep in my golf bag and it has no scratches either.
What about the issue with finger smudges becoming more and more apparent over time? It looks like the area I use my phone most is cloudy because the first swipe you make, already starts making a mark. Anyone else have this issue? Maybe my glass is just defective.

My screen returns to pristine factory condition once I've cleaned it
Is there any, like something that disable the touch completely at the ghost touch areas or something?

Nope.
TLDR: crap display glass.
Story
Once got it.
Then I broke the display glass
Replaced with one from another phone of same size.
Now I don't.
Workaround: When ghost touch happens, make phone sleep then unlock. It should go away.
It usually happened on my case because my finger is oily/wet ~ Try clean your hand and screen?

Frankly, idk. I'm not familiar with such things.
Ghost touches only happened to me after I cracked the glass. Then it happened like every 10mins of usage.
(and that one day I dropped my phone and render the touches at the cracks impossible, I have to replace the glass, and somehow *ghost touches disappear 100%)
Also my friend, G532G/DS, does not experience this. He keeps his phone well anyway.
Replace glass and/or keep it uncracked maybe? Sorry cannot help thoroughly.

Thank you for your response, replacing the glass protector seems to be my best choice, but gonna have to wait since have plenty of stuff to do, oh and also my brother have the same phone as me and we have the same symptoms though mine was worse, maybe the glass wasn't original after all...
Anyway back to the question at hand, does removing the glass protector solve the ghost touch? I don't mind going without protector for a while if this ghost touch gone for good
