disable group messaging? - Sprint Samsung Galaxy Note II

Is there a way to disable group messaging on the note 2? I hate that whenever anyone responds to a group text everyone is included on the response.

Haha, funny. Another guy in q&a is asking how to get this feature.
I personally don't have it either. Are you using the sprint version?
swyped all these spelling errors from my galaxy note 2

Wait how do you have it????? I want to be able to do group chat... The way it is on sprint note 2s suck because when people respond you get a bunch of seperate threads with MMS responses

The responses are all on a seperate thread, but the everyone gets a copy of any response.
Its annoying and embarassing for them.
I.E.
"Party at my house tonight" <sent to 20 people
"Can't go, because I have the ****s" gets sent to all 20 people
"Who has the ****s? Thats awesome" from someone else who doesnt know the other person
"That was a group message? How did everyone get my reply.. so embarrassed" from the first responder
"Please remove me from this mailing list.. but I am coming" from 10 other friends
"I didn't send this" from another person
Blah blah
Annoying.
I want a single message to go out over 30 individual texts where the reply is only to me. It wouldn't be so bad if you could see who all you were replying to when someone hit reply, but it doesnt work that way.

Double email notificiations from forum

I've set my preferences here to email me if there are updates to threads I'm subscribed to and am receiving double notification emails.
I'm only subscribed to these threads with one user account and can't figure out why I'm receiving two replies.
Any suggestions would be great!
Jason
I have this too, maybe an issue caused by the latest breakdown

Ok, cool -- just wanted to make sure that there wasn't some user preference that I had enabled somehow... Thanks for the responses!
It's been happening to me since the site came back up after the hack attack.
Someone fix it!!!
PLEASE!
Same problem.
Admins, we need you here
*God's booming voice* GET ON WITH IT!!
Yes, I have that too! And it's really annoying! Is there anything that can be done???
Well..
It seems that we have established the fact that many people has this problem.
Now, I've gotten 3 (x2) mails regarding updates on this thread today alone..
Every time, I hope to see a solution posted. But no..
There is just another "Me too" post..
I suggest that we don't post much more in this topic unless there is a solution..
At least not more than one more "Me too" post per day?
Just my two cents..
I agree with Bonzo. Everyone stop agreeing with each other!!!!
sorry!! How could I resist an opportunity like that

Forum Suggestion

I hope this is the correct forum..
I think it would be awesome if we could receive some sort of notification (or popup) when we are quoted in a thread. Its much easier to keep up with questions and conversations.
As an example.. im on www.slickdeals.net and whenever someone quotes me i get a popup that notifies me and i can click on it and go straight to the comment that quoted me.
If this is already an option in the forum.. please let me know.
Thanks!

This doesn't exist here, but due to the number of users on XDA (approaching 4 million), it is highly likely to bring the site to a grinding crawl

My question kinda answered itself.
Apparently everyone is able to send private messages, even users with less than 10 posts
EDIT: @roofrider
thanks for the info.

Everyone can send PM's, however, don't be surprised if your PM's asking questions that could have been found with an easy search are ignored by some members. Or tech support questions, many users simply ignore questions that aren't asked and answered in the public forum for all to benefit from.

If you would, please edit the title of the first post to include [SOLVED], save it, and then click on the little triangle report button in the upper left corner of the first post and ask for the thread to be closed as it has been solved? I promise to give you a thanks if you do this.
Thank you!

Subscribed threads no instant email notification

I'm not receiving any email notifications for any subscribed threads.
Have checked setting in user CP and in particular threads to no avail. is this something only available to senior members?
Thanks for any insight

Not that I am aware of but it is possible. If there is a restriction it would likely end at 5 posts, or maybe 10 posts. There are some restrictions on new users.

I second the op...
Even I'm not receiving email notifs, neither for weekly subscribed threads, nor for instant notifs...
But its not a biggie for me, since I used them for notification purposes, and rarely actually read them...
Edit: 1100

I dunno if this will help you guys or not but I've found a way to get notifs that works for me. I actually found it out by accident.
What I did was to subscribe to a thread and set the option to have no email notification. Even though I expected to have no notifications come through, I started receiving the emails the moment someone posted in that thread.
As I say, I dunno if it'll work for you guys but it worked for me. It does seem weird how it worked out though :/

[Q] instagram hack

XDA Is not the site where users ask for hacks or warez...Log off and try other places, XDA is NOT the answer....FSM Naddict has approved this message.
Wow, I don't even know where to start with you.
First (and most obvious), settle down with the huge font size. You're not going to get a better answer just because you highlighted and supersized the text. You're just being obnoxious.
Second. This forum is not a place for "hackers," as you're likely thinking it is. Please take a look at the Forum Rules. We are not a bunch of Scipt Kiddies who just want to mess with others privacy and screw around on their accounts. What we are is a group of developers and enthusiasts who want to get the most out of their phone's hardware and software. Posting this type of crap on our forum sullies our good name.
I look forward to when this thread is locked and deleted.

Again like I said in your other post. Private photos are made private for a reason. Likewise, xda will not help you hack a password. This community is not about what you ask. Go to your local jail and ask the criminals for help.
