Aite so there are many apps that can work as pedometers but the problem is that when the Note 2 goes to sleep, the G-sensor does as well so the pedometer stops working :/ It continues to work on the Galaxy S2 so it's obviously software related.
Anyone have any tips on what could be done to keep it awake?

You can't change resolution but you can change the name of the phone, manufacter, and make it look like a Galaxy Note in the benchmarks. I make my Kindle Fire look like a Nexus 7
