Can't remember which ROM I was on, but it had the new 4.2 clock, and I loved it.
Anyone mind posting it here?
Thanks!

Hey folks,
As I now have CM7 on my Galaxy S I no longer have the gentle (smart alarm) feature that's available in the stock alarm for Samsung.
I got so used to the smart alarm that I now hate my mornings. I've searched Google up and down and spent hours searched XDA.
I need a flashable zip or signed apk. I would absolutely love the person that can provide this.

The thing with cm is that all,Samsung things are removed and no longer work. So unless they add it, it wont work

I want it back too
third in line here ... I miss that alarm badly ... I yearn for it ... help
samsung smart alarm
It is not possible to have Samsung things in CM7.
All the apps from Samsung depends on its TW framework, and thus it will not work on CM7.

XDA Developers, Cooks, Themers, & Tweakers:
Is there any way to get the Touchwiz UI from the SGN & SGS2 4.0.X builds running on the I9300? I've tried simply carrying over the *.apk, but that doesn't work. I suspect that's because the *.apk requires additional resources (Touchwiz framework, libraries, etc.) from the SGN & SGS2 4.0.X builds in order to run on the I9300. If anyone out there has any experience with things like this, I would very much appreciate your help. I'd like to see last year's Touchwiz UI running on the I9300 relatively soon, so please, help me out.
Thanks in advance for anyone who helps.
Thank you,
Edward (Mister_Mxyzptlk)

By "UI" do you mean the Touchwiz launcher? If so, there's a few ports that should work. Try the Touchwiz 4.5 mod from the SII.

I appreciate that. I really do. However, unlike most people here on XDA, I actually do my homework BEFORE I post; and TW4.5 is a no-go. It crashes every time. Thank you though.

so vice versa...when trying to port S3 UI to S2, the entire framework had to be resized to 800X480, the native resolution of the S2, so I believe that you would have to expand the S2 UI from 800X480 to 1280X720, which would typically cause regraded resolution?
thats my assumption as to why it would be very difficult to do...from S2 to S3.

While using the Touchwiz UI from the SGS2 presents this problem, the Touchwiz UI from the SGN does not. As it's resolution is 800X1280, only minor changes would be necessary. Truthfully, I believe that the resolution discrepancies are of little concern compared to the missing framework components that will also need to be ported alongside the Touchwiz.apk. If anyone out there has had experience with this, we could really use your help.

I went on a similar quest a while back, since I find a four-icon dock more aesthetically pleasing, but ended up giving up on it when it turned out to have the same reloading issues as TW5. There are ports that work, but - naturally - I've deleted all the files I downloaded.
From memory, I would suggest looking for a single apk (Rather than apk + lib files, as there's quite a few ports) that was ported for the Galaxy Nexus. All the resizing has already been done, it's just a drop in /system/app deal. Most of the ports I found just force-closed, though.

Hey, I'm considering getting the Note II very soon, and even if this turns out to not be possible, I'll probably still pick it up as it's a great looking device. It's between this and the Nexus 4. This phone has the edge right now. But the reason I love the Nexus 4 so much, I had the Galaxy Nexus before I broke it, is the Stock Android experience, that pure, clean, feeling. Now I know that it would be possible to flash a stock 4.1/4.2 Jelly Bean ROM onto the Note II not a problem but then my worry is that the S-Pen features and the Split Screen Features and the other major Note II selling points like the Notepad and Sidebar feature would no longer be there which kind of just makes the phone a big Nexus, which I don't see the point of really. So, if someone could point me to a forum post that shows me how to do this, or tell me how if you know yourself you'll definitely have sold the phone to me for sure.
SAMSUNG GALAXY NOTE II STOCK ANDROID JELLY BEAN (4.1/4.2) ROM WITH SOME TOUCHWIZ FEATURES (S-Pen, Split-Screen, Sidebar, etc)
***** EDIT *****I was thinking, couldn't I just use Nova Launcher or something similar to get the stock Android Jelly Bean FEEL and LOOK and still have all of the TouchWiz features that I don't want to lose? If anyone can confirm this, or suggest another Launcher, comment please I'm still willing to Root if it means I can do anything to get as close to stock Jelly Bean without losing those amazing Note II features.
There is a rom based on stock with all aosp apps for the S2, and there is MIUI based on stock for the Note 2 which includes all those features, so it is possible, but not available...
I'm also waiting for something like that.

Thanks, is it still worth the Root then? To run root-only-apps? Because it seems pointless putting a Stock 4.2 ROM on the Note II if it means losing all the cool things the Note II can do with all that screen! I'll keep my eye's open for a ROM like this then!

My advise is to keep the original version by Samsung charging on a launcher like nova (as you mentioned) or even the original launcher of 4.2 jb (it was exported from nexus 4..I tried it personally and it was fast like a rocket)..
In this way you have a super stable rom with the original pure Google launcher..
..waiting maybe for a custom with those features. I think in the meantime is the best solution

Can you confirm that if I do this all of the Samsung, TouchWiz, features I listed above will still be there are functioning
I'm using the Sprint Galaxy SIII and for 2 days I've been searching and trying different keyboards looking for one comparable to the keyboard in cm 10.1. The emojis worked great on that. Since switching back to stock rooted touchwiz I haven't found anything that works as well. I've tried stock Android keyboard because that's what's everyone is saying works, but when I go to settings to add dictionary, there is no dictionary option for me to use to try to add emojis. I know someone will probably say browse the threads but I've done that for 2 days and haven't had any luck so if someone can just point me in the right direction I'd greatly appreciate it. If you've used cm 10.1 that keyboard with those emojis would be perfect.
Thanks in advance!!

First thing is that you're on the wrong forum. Here's the right place http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=1707
Second thing is that you're on the wrong section. Please post question in the Q&A section cause the themes and apps section is for developers who wants to share their mods, themes or apps
Third thing is that have you tried searching somewhere else? (Google play store)
I found a post on Android Guys or something that had all of the newer 4.4 APK files to download like the new launcher and google search and things of that nature... the article said it "may work on any Android device", but did not specifically state WHICH devices... Anyone tried these yet on a Note 2 and what success have you had? I am specifically interested in the launcher, search, camera, and keyboard... would love to have those. Thanks!
