Need help themeing

Okay I'm going to start themeing and I'm on CM9 so was wondering where a guide is for that rom..thanks hope to get started doing this very soon..

There isn't a guide, but if all you want to theme is CM9, I suggest waiting a little while, because CM9 will soon(dunno exactly when) include the Theme Chooser.

Uhh....I mean Theme Chooser?
CM9 will eventually include an updated version of the theme chooser that was in CM7, allowing for multiple themes to be installed at once, and switching between them easy.

CRT Screen-Off for the GSIII

Hey guys, one of my buddies bought a GS3 but he seems to be really jealous of the CRT Screen-Off animation that I have on my GNex. Is there any way to install it on his S3 ?

It doesn't appear to be working on the SGS3. It's a Samsung issue.

still no working solution yet on stock sammy rom. only way to get it on ur s3 would be to flash CM/aokp and their derivatives.

Flash a paranoidandroid or cm9 or some aopk rom and your friend will have the CRT effect.
Ηopefully devs bring it to samsung's roms..

Same here, tried v23 Omega...unfortunately can't support...once JB can support I'll go for it....

Crt off effect comes default checkrom v5. Try that

Install the app "screen off and lock" there are several effect for screen off.

Dl xposed installer and tweakbox. Make sure his phone is rooted.

In Screen off and lock the effects work only if you tap an icon, not with normal screen off.

Don't work on jellybean roms.

Hi,
Do i understand it right, you need this on a JB rom?
'cause i only know it so far from Omegas ICS roms, there is a package for the CRT effects in his Omega Files Kitchen you can install with CWM. it works here on a GSG3 with omegas 13 rom.
haven't tried the JB series though, want to wait 'till JB is officially out an omega has cleared a few of the last problems.

Edit: I'm running paranoid android on cm10 and it alr comes with it. Anw it is also a great ROM with great developers Not promoting whatsoever but guess you can try it out.

crt-off was working on LI8 using Jkays mod. However, on LIB it is no longer working and JKay has to fix it.

Confused about themes...

There's a sticky in themes and apps that's all up to date themes for cm9 theme engine. When I go to one of the themes I want it takes me to a topic on rootzwiki. Then it links me to the dev's website and he has a few different download links. There's a download for cm9 and cm10. I am currently running bamf ROM& kernel. Jellybean version. I know the theme chooser is in this rom, just not sure if I should be using cm 9 or 10. Usually just change my icons and launcher. This is my first attempt to change themes...

Most of the are for cm9 and 10 if u get a error saying not compiled correctly apply the "system" theme reboot and apply the theme u want and reboot a second time to enable all of the theme for example the Navy bar hope that helps

bamf is a jelly bean Rom correct? Then the cm 10 version is what you want.

I would also like to use theme chooser...im on PA 1.97
after i download the theme i want do i have to place it in specific folder?
and do i have to manually search for themes myself or is there something like MIUI has where i can preview them and download them directly to my phone and apply?

No really? Who wants an ICS theme on JB? Seriously though if its for CM10 thats the one he wants not the old one for ICS. I never said they werent compatible. I of all people should know (Recognized Themer).

Theme chooser themes are apks and h just open the theme manager app and apply or if it a flash able theme just make sure its compatible with your ROM and flash it

I made one for myself:
1. cm7 rom
2. JBMakerOver Patcher for cm7 - only apply SystemUI.apk, Settings.apk & framework-res.apk
3. cm7 theme
4. holo launcher plus with icons pack
5. holo locker
Now I'm using Galaxy S4 theme for item 3 & 4.

Domination is mostly for i9505 Roms like omega, wanam, foxhound... Those are most compatible since domination themes are based off the s4 i9505.. Trust I tried it on at and tmo Roms, either sumthin fks up or it just doesn't boot
