Hello guys!
Please help me out! This is my first thread here
Well, Mine's, obviously, an HTC Desire HD
Well, this is my first time with an htc, before this it was motorola(i.e EASY)
So I used aahk to downgrade to froyo, which btw, was a total success!
And then I used option 1 to S-off and root, and then I'm stuck with the htc logo..
However I'm able to get to H-Boot and CWM, although I think there must have been some error while it happened...
Now, I can't say I haven't been messing around or anything, but one for sure, I've been doing things like factory reset and wiping dalvik, things like that
Please I hope you guys are still out there, with this device...
Even trying to return to s-on and all that seems to fail..
Please put me in the light over here
I'd be grateful
Also, If you're kind enough to help me out personally, email me @ashindnile (gmail.com)
I live in Argentina, so if you're around, I'll owe you a beer
Ciao!!!
Thank you,
Ashton

You have not downgraded to froyo. The Kit does not do that, or you would be asking for help to fix your bootloader.
Anyway, if you are S-OFF and have CWM, you can do what guy tells you or do what the effen manual and re run the hack kit from the white screen.

I need the whole session to see what is going on. That only does not help at all. Anyway, you can try using a different sdcard as your seems to be corrupted to work as a goldcard.

You are S-OFF with no recovery. I remember that there's a section in glevitan's guide, bottom of page 8 or 9, that is labeled S-OFF with no recovery. I would recommend starting there.

Also ı can not downgrade hboot version.is there anyway that ı can do this processes on this updated version?

Ok so your device is SHIP son not ENG which is almost the same just a bit different in how you flash radios etc.
Now after it had been locked again, use AAHK Advanced Ace Hack Kit. The tool can be found in dev section. Let AAHK run its thing. It will complete root in 10 minutes or so. Please READ as much as you can and as many times as possible before rooting. Non English speaking useres find it especially hard and then come back with even a worse problem then before just for the lack of reading and understanding.
Aftet you have used AAHK your device will be rooted, you will have SHIP S-OFF and you can flash any custom ROM you'd like.

Correct. If I try to go into recovery, it goes to the htc screen and goes no further. Factory Reset does the same thing.

Hey guys,
i have big problem right now. I just got my Desire HD back from the HTC service guys with Android Version 2.3.5 and a software Version at around 3.?.?.
Now I tried to get root on my phone by using AAHK from here:
http://www.2shared.com/file/FaZdYXtC/aahk-07052012.html
I was following this tutorial, which is in German (sorry guys):
http://www.brutzelstube.de/2011/root-fur-das-htc-desire-hd-mit-dem-advanced-hack-kit/
after the Kit tried to downgrade my phone, the phone stucked at that HBOOT, which shows the following:
Ace PVT SHIP S-ON RL
HBOOT-0.85.0024
MicroP-0438
Radio-26.09.04.11_M2
eMMC-boot
Apr 12 2011,00:55:45
Then I have these options:
Fastboot
Recovery
Factory Reset
Simlock
Image CRC
I wasnt able to navigate by using the volume up/down keys. Nothing worked.
So, somewhere on the web I read that I should start the phone (vol down + power) with no sd card in it.
Alright, now i can navigate in HBOOT.
If i try to start the phone normally, it stucks at the HTC Logo. Even after 15 Minutes waiting, nothing happened.
Any ideas?
I would be even happy just to get back to stuck htc rom.
I´d really appreciate any help!
thx guys,

Your sdcard is corrupted. Besides, why are you using a version of the kit that is not the lastest that it is in attn1's site? Don't risk the phone by using a youtube tutorial, just read and do it yourself.
Besides, if you are stuck and you have read the effen manual you would haven seen that there's an IRC support channel. :good:

the thing is that the downgrade failed first check the md5sum of the ROM downloaded by the AAHK under the name of "PD98IMG" it should be "69af684168bfd6b9f34fc138e160b4d5" in my case i've an arabic based rom with android 2.3.3 then if you checked the rom is valid you can postt it on the root of an new SD card, since yours is "i think" is broken and flash it using hboot, or you can download an stock 2.3.3 RUU and flash the rom using your PC then you can root your DHD using AAHK "use latest version and make sure to understand every bit of it" take it easy, it happened to me and i managed to get just fine.... wish you the best
Hi everyone,
I realize that I really screwed up and I take full responsibility (even though I don't know what I did wrong). I ran the AHK, said yes to downgrading, the phone did something, and everything seemed fine. Then, the phone rebooted, and stuck on the HTC Quietly Brilliant startup screen. I removed battery, tried to start up, and it froze there again (but I think it just said HTC in green on white screen). I then went to Hboot, and it would not allow me to do anything - it kept trying to update, but failed every time. I then removed that SD card, inserted a different one, and now the Hboot allows me to do limited operations, but nothing to fix it (still sticks on white screen). I read the effen manual, talked to some folks on the IRC - #aahkSupport, but no fix yet. In Windows, glevitan tried to fix using command, but the phone would freeze each time. He suggested connectivity issues, so I installed Ubuntu, and I think these are resolved. However, I do not know what to do to try to fix it using Terminal. Please help!
Thanks,

Hi. Yes, ubuntu is installed and seems to work fine except for signature errors I keep getting. From searches, it seems these likely stem from a locked bootloader, and the HTC bootloader unlock tool is not working. I am not sure what how to give you the info you asked for. That would be great. I have one problem at the moment, though. Ubuntu won't let me connect to any WIFI (it doesn't detect any connections), and I don't have a LAN connection at the moment.
Hi,
I am in trouble. C.a. 6 months ago my DHD had to go to service because of headphone icon still standing at the taskbar and it was not possible to talk with anybody. After this i received new motherboard. Before that i had fully unlocked phone (root, S-OFF), but when i get it back from service, there was newest firmware installed, and of course s-on, no root. I rooted phone somehow, but s-on stayed still. And I can flash custom roms, but everytime I am doing this, I have to flash boot.img. Is it possible to turn S-ON to S-OFF? I tried many ways (AAHK, gold card + PD98IMG), downgrade to older version. Nothing was successful. The problem is, I think, that when any stock rom i am trying to flash with RUU, after rebooting to fastboot phone is locked on screen with HTC logo on black background. There is no progress bar of flashing, no screen with bootloader. What can I do to flash stock rom, can You help me?
On my bootloader screen already looks like this:

The problem is, I think, that when any stock rom i am trying to flash with RUU, after rebooting to fastboot phone is locked on screen with HTC logo on black background. There is no progress bar of flashing, no screen with bootloader. What can I do to flash stock rom, can You help me?
On my bootloader screen already looks like this:
ACE PVT SHIP S-ON RL
HBOOT - 2.00.0029
MICROP-0438
RADIO-26.14.04.28_M
eMMc-boot

Why is the hack kit not working? Is your bootloader unlocked?

Do you mean with HTCDev page? I tried this, but in step 14(i think) when the screen from android should appear to commit bootloader unlock operation, then happens nothing - the answer in command line window is ok - suitable to one in tutorial on HTCDev, but on the phone I can't see any changes. Well.. AAHK needs to install downgrade version and then there is the same problem like with RUU - phone cannot flash this version.
