HI,
When I'm on XDA and searching for roms and mods they usually mention the last three characters of your smartphones version such as LP8 or LJ5.
I was just wondering what I should check to see what my version is - BASEBAND VERSION or BUILDNUMBER? Because they both are different.
Thanks in advance!

Build number I believe.
Baseband version is the modem/radio

A great place to start would be this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1956180
There is LOTs of information in that thread, read all 16 pages if you can. Srsly. (Or at least the first three posts, and the last three pages. thats a great way to approach any thread here.)
On top of that, well, there a tot of sticky threads, and many helpful users with great information and tips. Be sure to be respectful, give as much technical details with problems you have, and at least Try to search for the answer before asking. (I guarantee there are at least two threads for any question you might have.)
If this is your first root, welcome to your new hobby!
Ok thank you

Most of the roots that worked with 4.1.1 will work with the latest update. I updated and rerooted the same way after. Worked perfectly.

Hey, looked for post relating to the update. Did anybody else get it? Remove this thread if this is being discussed some where else. Or post a link to that thread. Thanks

Well I'll give the benefit of the doubt, most likely you did not know that updates are referenced by their build number and so the 4.1.2 update is called "MB1" (go to settings > About phone > Software info or something like that)
But heres the discussion thread, have fun:

Thanks, i did see that thread but was confused.

According to your thinking we don't need such a forum, just Google huh?
If you not going to help, why waste time replying?
