Hello,
I'm looking to upgrade from my OSF2 and I'm interested in getting a Sony Xperia U, Huawei Ascend G330 or a HTC One V but I'm unsure which one. Is this device the best of the 3 and what are the pros/cons?
Thanks
Go for one v....its bit laggy but it has many custom roms so u ll never feel its laggy...go for it dude

One v straight....rooting is easy....
Sent from my One V
xperia sola
one s, galaxy s2
out of the 3 and i've used all 3, i would go for the V if you're interested in custom rom's and shizz. Can't remember if the U still has issues with bootloader unlocking and stuff, and the huwai well...it won't get MUCH dev support plus i found that a bit meh... so your choices really are the 1V or the XU. Look up the XU stuff see if it's bootloader can be unlocked properly now.
Thanks for the replies, I'll be picking up a HTC One V when I get paid on the 11th. Looking forward to tinkering with this device.
i have one v for 6 months and its crap freezes lags
i used to have desire before this one , there was no problems
think twice if u want one v
I wouldn't suggest one v. HTC 8 s or Xperia p or arc s is best

Xperia U
I think go for the xperia u cause its dual core processor. One v got ****ty single core which lags a lot. Am using it now and just hate it. Custom roms will only improve it a bit but being a hardcore internet and multiapp user it keeps lagging a lot.

Really, it depends on the features you want / need. Whether you would like to stick with HTC (Sense), or are ready to switch etc. There are a lot of options out there for 18-19K (Some may go to 20)
- Galaxy S1
- Nexus S
- Xperia Ray
- Neo V
Sadly, no HTC's though. You will have to up your budget to 21K to get the Desire S. (Or 15K for the ChaCha / Salsa)
Thnx for reply bro...
I have shortlisted some phones
1.Sony ericssion neo v
2.Samsung nexus s
3.Motorola defy +
4.Samsung galaxy s I9001
Please give me a best phone as per performance on gaming n future Android updates.

I think, for the two reasons you have listed, all are pretty similar, whichever way you look at it. All of them are 1 (Galaxy S OC'ed to 1.4)GHz phones with a dedicated GPU chip (Galaxy S Plus and Neo V have the same chipset), and, all them should be upgradeable to ICS (Nexus S will definitely be getting an official update, SE has said all of their 2011 phones will get an official update. For the others, even if they don't receive an official update, they should be powerful enough to get custom ROMs atleast)
If you like modding your phone, rooting, custom ROMs and that stuff, then I would say, go for the Nexus S, which has the strongest dev community. Else, as I said before, they are pretty much balanced.
Hi all,
I need to know about HTC One V capability for development use, I have low budget but wanted an Android phone which will let me develop applications including games as well, currently using HTC Explorer, which is not good for development, especially w.r.t resolution.
Please guide, thanks

if you like custom roms and modding your phone, get the HOX. i just unlocked bootloader, installed recovery and nandroid the stock rom. flashed leedroid and enjoy a none sense rom.
here's the place to be if you like to play around with your phone.
did you root your previous phones ?
but if you dont care about these things, then the question is, do you prefer htc sence or xperia s launcher and of course which design ?
although it is huge, has no exchangeable battery and no sd card, i am glad i bought it
A woman at work has an S and it is nowhere near as user friendly. Sense is the most user friendly UI of all smartphones.

I did root all my previous phones:
-HTC DREAM, HTC DESIRE, XPERIA X8, XPERIA PLAY...
And I wasn't big fan of SENSE UI, I like some things from sense but not everything.
And I have fallowing problem with my SONY XPS, Boot Loader Can not be unlock unfortunately
So this is my reason #1 I should I change my phone...
BTW.
There is no sd card slot on SONY XPS and there is the same story with battery.

so get the hox, you wont be disappointed. just make sure when you mod your phone, that your battery is fully charged, as already mentioned make a nandroid backup and before wipe everything, you must have a custom rom on your internal sd card. usb mounting is not supported yet.
And learn how to use fastboot.

Just be aware that unlocking bootloader via htcdev warrants some warranty issues. Some users have had issues when sending back to HTC repairs. Some have been fine but HTC can use this against you.
There is no S-OFF at present.

ahh.. development will gain its speed as time passes by.. let us have the main base needed ie: cm9 and cm10... m sure we will have all awesome stuffs aosp.. android revolution hd, viper x... haha and all other gr8's.. just a matter of time and having patience.. eating developer's head by asking noobis questions and eta's will result in delay or the developer leaving our forum .. and then the forum will rot with no gr8 rom :'(

Ahh okeey soo we must wait untill cm9 and cm10 are fully working without bugs ?

Well, you know - at the end it is your decision.
But - just for your information - I came from DHD ( let`s say a "brother"of Incredible S) and I am very satisfy from my new One X.
Of course there are some disadvantages - eg. locked system end such, but I believe that sooner or latter we will have fully unlocked device and we will use it as we want.
So, in summary - my advice is: GO FOR IT!
Regards.
When i bought my One X I thought it was the best phone in the market but now I would say I'd rather go with Nexus 4

Hi there, I think you should keep your incredible s and your hard earned cash. Buying a new phone will mot make you a better person or make you any happier.
You can't help it though....your gonna get one!
Now I would prefer nexus 4, because it is little bit better and much cheaper... Google kills with price

Ya you should buy it.. totally worth it and got some great looking roms.. I'm using ARHD and it rocks \\m//. Lots of custom kernel and mods.
Probably if you want a One X you should get a One X+ at this time.
