I've been searching for a rom that has wifi calling and came to a dead end. Does anyone know of a stable rom that has this feature? I live out in the sticks with no reception.
Thanks
Just use the deodexes rom.. has everything u need plus u can tether with the trevee mod as well as add in unlimited multiwindows and toggles
Jedi Master has wifi calling. Doesnt have multi window yet. Whenever the devs get a chance im sure the next one will be as good as this version.

Hey Everyone,
So I just picked up a MyTouch Slide for my Mother (Yes I'm a good son) and I need 3 things in a ROM as a must for her.
She wants a very large font & so I know I can just go into the build.prop file and edit the density to 240. But I've tried it with sense roms and for some reason, nothing looks right & it doesn't work. I tried it on a Vanilla Froyo rom and it looks perfect.
2ndly, she is in an area where she gets like 1 bar at her house so I need Wifi Calling (I use it on my sensation and it works flawlessly). This is a must!
And then 3rdly it needs to be able to hotspot tether for her new wifi tablet.
So 3 things, again...
1. A vanilla froyo/gingerbread rom (for lcd density purposes)
2. A rom that supports wifi calling & works!
3. Hotspot tethering.
Please let me know what you suggest. Thanks for your help in advance!
I'm thinking CyanogenMod 7. I think you can change the font in that, yeah?
I don't know much about the latest nightlies, but I think a few versions back would be stable and have the wificalling.
As for tethering... well, I'm not too sure about that. Will she be taking the tablet away from home?(sounds like there's wifi at home atleast)
As far as I know the only ones with that are the sense roms. But it could be in the latest nightlies... like I said I don't know much about 'em.
Hopefully someone else comes in here, haha.
Cool man, thanks for the reply. Yes the cm6 rom is definately a vanilla rom. I guess I just wasn't sure if it worked with wifi calling, so that's great! So is that an app that comes preloaded to cm6 or is there an apk that needs to be downloaded?
And I am 99% sure every cm6 rom comes stock with wifi tethering. So that solves that.

A while ago, I downloaded a nandroid someone posted from their T-Mobile Galaxy Note II to see if I could pick it apart for wi-fi calling, but I don't use it so I can't really test it and I lost interest. Now, I've packaged up the Wifi Calling app with all of the libs it came with and added in the build.prop from the zip. It might be a lot more than what is needed, but I don't want to have to keep uploading bits and pieces. If you think you have an idea of what you're doing and want to try it out, go for it. I don't really know much about wi-fi calling at all so unless you have some sort of logcat, I'll be of little to no use to you at all. I guess that's about it...
You can use the ics wi-fi calling package to help you out by possibly using it as a reference/using parts/etc.
FOUND HERE
And here is what I've extracted from that 1GB+ package.
CLICK ME
Let us know what you find and good luck
If you feel you might need more files from the original nandroid just let me know.
Nice!
Rooted/OC'd/SynX
nice work will try ,Thanks
Please don't hate but would this work on a sense based rom?

Hm... by the looks of it, it would seem that these are only settings for Wi-Fi calling. So it would seem that you'd have to mod the settings apk to have the option for WiFi calling settings. :/ I'll look into elgins (CM10) source sometime to see if I can add it in. If I can at least get the app starting somewhere, it will be easier for everyone else to debug/fix it up. If anyone has messed with the note 2 and can confirm that WiFi calling is accessed via settings and not launcher (app) that would be helpful as well.

This is gr8 news !Hopefiully someone can get going on this ,it can benefit not just the Glacier, but other devices as well that already have a fully working JB minus wifi calling.
From what I have seen and read on my HTC One S it is built into the frame work on JB so way above what I know good luck.
im gonna look into this and see what i can do

I'm thinking the setting could be added in way that is similar to this:
https://github.com/SyNtheticNightma...mmit/bfac7c05daab9f6294f7419ea6173c4a1c569092
Though I don't know the exact name of the package for the wi-fi calling settings... I'd need to decompile it to find that out (unless you know another way, I'm not too familiar with apks). I could also try whipping up an icon for this if you need one.
have you looked at this at all? http://code.google.com/p/the-ims-open-source-project-for-android/

Sorry for a late reply (haven't had the T-Mobile Galaxy Note 2 (SGH-T889) so long...
Wifi Calling settings are located under Settings / More settings /
And includes two items: Wi-Fi Calling (this is to enable/disable with a check box), and, Wi-Fi Calling Settings (This offers Connection Preferences [Wi-Fi Preferred / Wi-Fi Only / Cellular Preferred}, and, Help)
For reference, the above menu structure/selections are based on Stock F/W 4.1.1, Build Number JRO03C.T889UVALL4
Is this still a work in progress or has it died?
it sure died.. adding wifi calling to JB has been a task for over a year..no dev has been able ot make this work...so sad.

I use ePhone by Comwave. lol. You get a specific number. And I dont have a working sim card anyways , so I made whatsapp with a textplus number lol
before anyone says "did you look?" yes i looked for 4 hours over the net and on not just this site. What im not finding is a custom debloated rom with wiz base or tmo base that supports wifi calling has multi window and custom set up. THere are a lot of beautiful roms im seeing. So far Wicked and Hyperdrive RLS13 are my 2 fav. However i live in a 80 year old brick and steel building which means NO DATA. i do everything including calling over my wifi. anyone know of any that are similar to these but support tmo wifi calling? thank you
Its SGH-T999 4.1.2 (Jellybean?)
WiFi calling is built into TouchWiz. So every single T-Mobile TouchWiz ROM has WiFi calling. Stay away from the ports. If it's a port, it will say so in the thread title. Wicked has WiFi calling. What's the problem?

Does this [ROM][P?+Aokp+Cm] P.A.Cman True All in 1 ROM[01-03-13] comes with WIFI Calling Feature.
For me its a must have feature cuz inside my house i rarely get tmobile reception.
anyone who recently tested... please let me know.
If you want WiFi calling I'd suggest go on PTMR3S Jedi mind 6. That ROM you mentioned does not as its aosp. Plus its outdated we have a updated one that goes up to 23.0

The only Roms with working WiFi calling are official tmojile touchwiz Roms as it is a T-Mobile closed source feature, there are a couple good ones, infamous s2, Jedi mind trick, stock, but if u want t on a asop ROM your out of luck

I've been using EchoeROM to have the s5 software features on my Galaxy S4, but I miss the WiFi calling feature that T-Mobile has with its stock rom. Does anyone know of a custom rom that has the cool features of the S5, but also allows WiFi calling?
Hey, I know I'm a new user and all, but just wondering if anyone would answer my question? Please?
There isnt one yet, most dont focus on the wifi calling part because its a pain to integrate. Its one of the reasons why I stayed on 4.4.4

Thanks for letting me know. I'm hoping that someone will do one soon, but I'm enjoying the s5 features too much to go back to 4.4.4.
