Car charging issues? - Samsung Galaxy Nexus

Hi all, I have a gsm nexus and i bought a generic 1 piece car charger the other day, and it doesn't seem to work. My question is, do nexus require 2 piece chargers or something like that (like ipods, 1st gen nano worked with 1 piece charger, 4th didnt)
Thanks guys!
And yeah sorry if there's already a thread on this, but y'all know what the search is like on mobile.

It should work, does it work with something else?

New to tmob can someone explain tethering

Okay so I switched from Verizon last week before tmobs new plans because I'm saving a ton of money with a student discount. First thing I did was root my phone and get my trusty wifi tethering app up and running. Now to my dismay even though I'm not using tmobs tethering app it looks like they still are tracking the data usage. I'm finding a ton of different posts about fixes, but they all seem to be fixing different things. As of right now I have a tethering app that works, my only issue is how do I keep tmob from seeing I'm tethering. Again I did try searching just not sure which thread is for what I need.
Use hotspot shield vpn from playstore.

Wow! The last two threads I opened you had to move Kenny. You are on the ball today aren't you!? Lol.
And to the OP, you have to change the user agent on your computer. There are a bunch of threads about tethering already. Google is your friend

anyone use their note 2 with aftermaket app radio or mirrorlink head unit?

Looking to upgrade my head unit and see some adds for mirrorlink and app radio. most of them fail to include any useful information, wondering if anyone here has taken this plunge.
Might find some info here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2214272

Allcast wireless dougle not working with rooted S3

Ok so after multiple tries my stock rooted S3 will not stay connected. I have read many threads saying its because of the phone saying modified under phone status. Can anybody look into this or know a fix. I know that there is at least one bounty for a fix.

They exist, and they work well, but some require modifications to work on the S4.
Look around, there's already at least one huge thread with more info.

S3 as Desktop Replacement

Has anyone been actively using their S3 as a low end desktop?
ala Bluetooth keyboard and mouse plus MHL usb to hdmi adapter to a 1080 monitor.
I've been thinking that for the majority of what I do this would be an entirely adequate setup.
And if you need access to some "dekstop" applications you could always look into running chroot images from this app.
