[Q] Should I wait for official launch in India?

Hey Guys..
Samsung India is still not conforming on launch dates of Galaxy Nexus. Should I wait for it? Otherwise, I will buy unlocked version from any international online shop. Do I have to worry about warranty and updates?

Can someone who purchased recently let me know whether it shipped with kitkat or jellybean
I purchased one in india through flipkart which had KitKat 4.4.2, but it should have been Jelly bean 4.3. I'm doubtful on this part.
BTW..The phone imported date is Nov 2014.
