[ROM][4.2.1] Slim Bean (Toro Plus) [Stable 1.0] [All Languages]
How to submit a bug.
First of all read the bugs section on our website. If you're bug isn't mentioned then proceed.
When you submit a bug you want to make sure that nothing from your side is causing it.
Otherwise your developer might be hunting a bug which doesn't really exist.
The best way to achieve this is by doing the following.
1. Make a nandroid backup.
2. Perform a full wipe (factory reset + wipe /system)
Now we have two different ways depending on what kind of problem do you're having.
3a. When you're having a problem with a ROM function flash now just the ROM without GAPPS etc. and boot back into the system. You will boot directly onto the homescreen.
3b. When you're having a problem with a 3rd party app in combination with our ROM then flash the ROM and GAPPS.
Boot now back into the system. You will boot to the setup wizard.
Log in to your Google account but make sure that you untick "Restore from my Google Account to this phone/tablet".
Finish the setup and open the playstore and download only the app you're having problems with.
4. Start a logcat recording and reproduce the bug (if possible more than once) while taking the logcat. If you don't know how to get a logcat read this tutorial or this .
5. Post the logcat in a txt file (this is important because you otherwise clog up the threads with your log) in the correct thread.
Please also write detailed how we can reproduce the bug.
6. Restore your backup from point 1 and wait for a fix (don't ask for ETAs).

Thanks about to flash

It will come at some point.
Kufikugel was having some health problems and the ROM is more important atm.
Btw Kufi said that the themes are working but the mods are not.

Anyone having issues with GPS? I can't seem to get it to lock on.

Can't say I have.
Did have some "severe" battery drain though. 48% in 1hr 24mins of music playback. Seems the CPU is running at full power even with screen off.

I did a clean install of just the base and the slim gapps and so far everything works great. Except the phone, anytime I try to make a call I get a FC. I don't know if I am doing something wrong or missing an add-on. This is the first Slim rom I have tried so not sure if I missed something.

was running fine for about an hour then same thing starting happening...
Will the new aio package work with 3.1?

I can't promise that.
And for the fcs we need logcats to fix it.

sorry I had to flash back to my nand in a hurry (need to use the phone) could not get a log cat. I will try today during the cardinals game to reproduce the error. Something funny happened also when I wiped and went to restore I found that my back ups were gone from the folder /sdcard/ but i did find the back ups in /sdcard/0/0/0 any have any insite into how this happened? I am sure it is not rom related but likely user error in TWRP. ?????????????

This happens when you switch between a 4.1 and a 4.2 ROM.
I recommend that you copy your backups into the first 0 folder and leave them there. Btw are you on the newest TWRP?
The folder gets created because of the multi user feature.

Yes I am upgraded via rRTB PRO. After upgrading should I copy the folders back to /sdcard/ or keep it at /sdcard/0/

IIRC leave them in /sdcard/0

I'm not sure anymore because this happens just when you switch between 4.1 and 4.2.
And I'm on 4.2 since quite some time now because I was too lazy to constantly switch between 3.1 and our alpha/beta builds.

first! downloading...
first time trying this rom.. just have one question, the slim gapps are 23.13mb in size? so do i also flash the gapps from goo or does the slim gapps package contain all the apps?
SlimROMs are modular.
When you flash the build and the gapps you have just the basic set up.
So if you want Google Now for example you have to download the the Google Now zip.
Or if you want to have everything you can just flash the AIO package.
@Nebucatnetzer I flash the rom and gapps, everything good so far, only one question: can i change density to any dpi between 241 and 320, it's the first time I use any density besides stock, and can You add fast charge tile in future, thanx :good:
Should work yes.
We'll see what comes in the future.
Downloading now, thanks for the gift :good:
been waiting for slim 4.2.1 .. downloading right away

Thanks. Finally is here!! Downloading.

Looks really good (am still sort of reloading all my crap)... but it does seem a bit miniturised - wondering if this is something i would fix by adjusting the dpi settings.... what value would give a 'normal' XS look - I am guessing someone has played with this kind of thing more than me...

Well you can to 320 dpi settings by navigating to Interface >general > LCD density> select option no.6 and then you can select 320 and dont worry it's a standard dpi so you don't have to follow the other 5 steps.
Can someone put ROM on another server? I.e. mega.co.nz or dl-h-st? Default slim server is blocked at my workplace. Thanks

Been running this since Alpha 3. It has been running great! I currently have it paired with Fancy Kernel R37-5 and it has been great.

Try another Kernel. I don't have either of those issues running Fancy. My notification sound is no different than 4.2.2 and my vibrate notifications def. work.
Wiped, Formatted /System/ Clean Flash/ Flashed GAPPS. Working great so far.
I LOVE the look of increased resolution with the dark inverts. It looks so damn clean! +++
Ran into a few issues with updating google apps. Had to go into the SlimCenter to manually delete a few of them, REBOOT, then was able to redownload from the market.

You didn't run into issues it's normal that this happened.
You won't be able to update the Gapps if you use our gapps.
Because the of the feature to invert them.
However you can use the AROMA addon and then you'll be able to choose between the modified or the original gapps.

Maybe a kernel issue or a bad download? Make sure to check the md5 when you download roms.
I flashed from Baldwin 4.3 and went through the following steps:
1. Run Revolution Galaxy Nexus Superwipe zip
2. Install slim
3. Install gapps etc
4. Odex the rom
5. Clear cache/dalvik
6. Reboot
No issues at all

Just in case he decides to do the same thing as you there should be one more step before odex (which is optional anyway), always get all your customizing done BEFORE you odex since you might not be able to change things afterwards
Just installed this, very impressed with all the features in it already. Thank you!!!
I'm having one issue though I can't get LCD density over 245. Anyone else???
Edit: never mind, changed to 480 and then back down to 320 and it worked.

FAQ
Q. Titanium Backup is not restoring apps.
A. Set your backup dir for Titanium Backup as ::
storage/emulated/legacy/TitaniumBackup
After setting backup dir, System will prompt to move your backups from previous dir to new correct one.
Then proceed with restoring backups.

I've been away at a destination wedding and just saw this and will flash tomorrow. Thanks for posting this. FWIW, Slim 4.3 on my GS3 is already better in performance and battery than 4.2.2, so I can't wait for this.
How can I set the browser to always be in desktop mode?

With stock browser, its not possible. Each time you need to select the desktop version by clicking okn 3dot menu.
If you use 3rd party browsers, its possible. For ex- Opera

"DONT BLAME me if anything goes wrong with the device after flashing this ROM..."
then I WONT FLASH it. No actual screenshots of the rom, only some from a mobile phone version, come on man, you can do better than this
actually there is a screenshot of a nexus 7. which is pretty much not a mobile phone.
Why should he post screenshots of slimbean rom running on a tf300t? it looks almost the same on every single device.
he used the official slimbean banner.
I don't see your point at all.

I will only say this ::
If you decide whether to flash a rom by checking the disclaimer portion, then iam afraid you have registered in the wrong forum buddy.
As per my understanding, XDA is a forum for devs and those "users" who are willing to learn and share help the devs with their bug reports , share ideas etc.
You should remain with stock that your manufacturer stick it up to you.
Peace.
The link for gapps brings me to a login screen. Is that right?

YES, you are correct. The link is not working.
Below is the new link for gapps but its for beta3
http://slimroms.net/index.php/downloads/dlsearch/viewdownload/908-addons4-3/4972-slim-minimal-gapps-4-3-build-beta-3
You can use any 4.3 gapps infact, the only benefit of slim gapps is that you get TRDS with those.

the hybrid setting have been merged, and it shall be included in the v1 release (SOON). it took some time to add it correctly, since it just wasn't perfect (code issues), it would've worked, but decided not to add it until perfection had been achieved.
we did, and its coming soon...

Here goes nothing..... flashing away. Will report any issues.
Update dirty flash put this in boot loop (I know better just do it to test).
Clear data clean install and this runs great going to give it a test drive around the city today. I'll update later however so far this is great!
Wow! Definitely wanted a upgrade to 4.3 from 4.1 was using as DD but have to say very impressed. My DD has more customization however this is awesome straight out of the box.
Can't wait to see how it is off WiFi and around the city that even sprint techs say our coverage sucks.
Thanks!
This looks promising indeed.

it has been tested thorougly and has been confirmed stable enough to be a daily driver.
