I didn't find any thread about so I'm starting this one, and I'm new to One X, so sorry if its noobish question, but will HTC One X+ kernel work with regular One X? Its overclocked, so we will have OC on JB, but I'm to scared to try it. Does anyone know if it will work?
Send from my HTC One X.

No it will not work. The one x+ uses a Qualcomm processor where the normal one x uses a tegra3 processor. The instruction sets will be completely different.
You're not likely to brick if you try it.
What is most likely to happen is the phone will not boot and you will just stay stuck on the first white htc screen

Afaik the One X plus uses Tegra 3, One XL uses snapdragon. I might be wrong anyway, but I googled it and it it says that one x plus is only overclocked one x with better battery and front facing camera. Can anyone confirm?

Whoops. That's my bad. I confused the + with the XL. Theoretically it should work. If it is only an upgraded processor and internal storage.
If there are any different hardware components from the original then it won't work.
Also even if it does work. The processor will be pushed far further than what the original tegra 3 was designed to do which will most likely result in a dead phone

It's not overclocked. It's a Tegra 3 Processor but there's a difference. The One X (S720e) has a T40 Tegra 3 and the One X+ (S728e) has a T50.

So you mean those processors are different, not exactly the same ? if so, does someone knows when HTC will release their source code so oc kernel will be possible to make for jb?

current, there are no custom kernels for the JB Version. Nobody knows when HTC the source code will be published.

Are HTC ONE XL' rom and kernel etc. same as HTC ONE X?
Because the XL version just added LTE and changed to dual-core, the remains are same.
No.
Try a whole different SoC.
No no and no.... Please think a second and do some research

So I can't flash One X rom or kernel from the "One X Android Development" into my One XL?

I'm living in Hong Kong. I'm confused about version between the HTC ONE series. There're two version of HTC ONE X in Hong Kong, one is quad-core, one is dual-core. And there's only one version of HTC ONE XL, which is dual-core with LTE.
Since I can't find HTC ONE XL in XDA. I'm wondering HTC ONE X development works would compatible with HTC ONE XL...

From what I know is that the LTE Bandwith in Hong Kong is not the same bandwith that AT&T is using. I also reckon that different bandwidths would require different ROMS.

Same. Never buying HTC again.

Well, it's not really a surprise now, is it? HTC had to to something with a flagship that's now 6 months old. Seeing how Samsung is selling its Galaxy range like hotcakes and they keep churning out new models, HTC has to keep up.
I'm actually happy that they've kept the overall hardware setup similar to the One X. For us One X owners that should mean longer ongoing support, since there is no technical limitation for One X+ updates to be applied onto the One X. At least they're not launching a gazillion iterations of the same phone like they did in 2010 and 2011...
I must say the larger battery annoys me, though. But I take the One X's looks any day...
HI! I am from Singapore and i intend to buy HTC ONE XL. And does this phone have any wifi issues like the HTC ONE X.
I saw a video from youtube, it shows that HTC ONE XL has wifi death grip issues like the ONE X?
I came here to ask as HTC customer service is **** when i phoned them.
Ask in the One XL thread?

You should buy a Note II. Everybody should!
I did some research before when buying my HTC one x. I heard that htc one x is better with gaming with the better gpu and htc one xl got faster cpu.
Don't know how true this is. I have tried my brother in law one xl and found that camera is abit slower...
Note 2 look good!

Thats because the HTC ONE XL is a dualcore phone and the HTC ONE X a quadcore phone !
HTC ONE XL is the AT&T, ROGERS forum
GUys I need some advice from you.
As you know HTC will be releasing HTC M7 in Q1 this year (2013)
I'm considering whether I should wait for the M7 (or other new models release this year) or just get the One X+
We don't even know what the merely-codenamed device looks like yet...
Why not the butterfly?
Sent from my HTC One X using xda app-developers app
Wait for good! There might be a Tegra 4 HTC device in Q1.
Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD
ok i sell then the HOX and buy the tegra 4 HTC device
butterfly is beautiful but I prefer Tegra 4 !
Love mobile game.
Wait for M7+

If I was you I'd skip the X+ and wait for something newer.
Sent from my HTC One X using xda app-developers app
If I was the one getting a new phone I would have waited for a new device possibly tegra 4. I personally would wait for a possible new phone to check how it will be and for the price drop after a new model released. Unless your are in a new of a new phone now or don't care about the money.
Sent from my HTC One X using Tapatalk 2
If the M7 comes out, then One X+ price will drop. If price is not the issue for you, then definitely wait for M7. With Butterfly flying around, I wouldn't even consider X+ at all. It'll be Butterfly or M7 for me to make my choice.
Looking at the specs of the Butterfly.
It does not seem a big difference and upgrade from the One X+
And besides, I also own a tablet which i will use it for gaming instead.
I don't think HTC will be a good choice.Maybe lumia 820 920(820has better performance cause of 800*480)One x+ is not so good.Maybe M7(if tegra4)

Why go for a windows phone? The platform is not sold yet better to stick with an android device if the op wants it. Just wait for the next set of handsets due very soon.

Hi
What is difference between Tegra 3 and Tegra 4 devices?
I just want to flash HTC One X and I am afraid if I brick my phone with low knowledge.
Should I flash without any fear? My phone cid is 0044
thanks
br
There isn't a HTC One X with Tegra 4. It's only Tegra 3 on the International version and snapdragon dual core for the 4G version
What I got is
there is no tegra 4 device in Htc One X. Right?
My device related to Asia so no need to afraid to update.
