In settings go to motions and unchecked quick glance. That's what's giving you the summary... The eye is smart stay. If it sees you looking at the screen it will not shut the screen off...

Lock screen lag.

Does anyone else's lock screen lag really bad sometimes?
Sometimes it will work fine but sometimes it could lag horribly.
I can slide to unlock and then it will actually slide a second or two later, and the animation when it brings up the home screen is really choppy.
I keep thinking of doing a factory reset to see if it solves it but o don't want to lose everything if it doesn't work.
I'm 100% stock 4.0.4
I will try and get it on video later to show you what I mean when I get home

Got auto screen brightness ON?
Cause when you lock ur screen in full light condition and unlock when in dark light condition (and vice versa), the lag you describe happens.

Yeah I do know how to search. I also know to post when I don't find an answer.
You still don't know after all your posts not to troll?
If u don't have anything useful to add don't post.
Stop wasting my time having to reply to such a useless post. Bye

Mine doesn't lag.
Maybe another program monitoring the lockscreen?

May be you have "Smart Alert" feature turned on. Go under settings and then motion. Basically your phone will vibrate to tell you if you have any messages or massed calls waiting for you.
For second thing May be you're taking about Smart Stay. It is under settings, display. It will keep the screen on until you keep looking at it.

[Q] Keyboard Shadow/Outline on Homescreen

Hello. Just picked up a used GNex off Craigslist. My old Nexus broke and after 2 weeks wn old Dith aroid 2 Global that someone let me use, I had to get a GNex back. It came rooted with CM 10.1. However, once I got home and started messing around with it (flashed AOKP and installed TWRP) I noticed that there was a shadow/outline (not really sure how to describe it) of the keyboard on the screen at all times. It's not the worst thing in the world, but it is pretty annoying (especially on pages with white backgrounds.) I'm pretty sure I did nothing to cause this but does anyone have any idea what is going on/how to fix this?
Sidenote: I just realized that the keyboard outline is not "on the picture" if you will. I took a screenshot, looked at it on my computer and the keyboard outline was not on the picture. Not sure what this means/if it helps.
I've tried to take a picture of my phone but they keyboard outline is too faint to pick up.
Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Your new galaxy nexus is suffering from severe burn in. Remember on amoled screens, stuff displaying on the screen sort of burns the picture into the screen. Download screen diagnostic from the play store. Take a snapshot of the screen with the keyboard open. Then load the snap shot in screen diagnostic. Leave it there for a bit and it should fix the burn in.

for how long did you leave the negative image on? i have a similar problem on my s4 and i made a screenshot of my whatsapp chat box with the keyboard on (like the burnt image), turned it into a negative using the app and left it there for about 15 mins and the burn is still there like before.
I think I left mine on overnight. I didn't remove it completely, but it improved it

Black screen of death!

So I fixed the problem kinda but my phone just tripped uber balls on me! The screen does this one thing every now and then where it wants to just go black while trying to receive a call. Whatever no biggie. That's where I was wrong. It seems to be happening a bit note frequently now. Well today I was watching TV and all of a sudden my options g wouldn't turn on. I mean I was pressing the volume rocker and I could feel the phone vibrate and such but the screen was straight BLACK! anyone ever get this before? If so what did you do for a fix. Oh PS I'm not rooted. My PC broke down and all I have now is my Mac and I don't how to root with a stupid Macbook pro.

This happened to me once when trying to use the navigation app. So Annoying! I'm not sure how I fixed it though.

Newbie Notifications Question

Got my Verizon Note 4 the other day and there is one thing driving me crazy. I've turned off every notification known to man in the Facebook app and I still get that little red number on the app on my home screen. Any ideas what might be going on?
