[Q][APP][PORT] JVU Camera to ICS

Hello everybody,
for some days I've been using ICS on my SGS.. Everything is very smooth and good, but I miss the camera functionality of the JVU-ROM.
I've tried to simply copy over the odexed camera.apk to my ICS-ROM but it is not even shown in the launcher.. So I can't start it!
Anybody else tried to use the JVU camera on ICS? Interrests?

put a "[Q]" or "?" in topic title :/

I think is impossible. cause Samsung's camera app use framework and I never seen Samsung's Camera app in CM or ICS or MIUI ROMs.

perhaps you are right, haven't found any posts due to this thematic..
does anybody know a good alternativ from the market? with the nice panorma function of samsungs camera app?

Is not impossible but it is not allowed by Samsung -due to copyrights.
That's why didn't see Samsung apps (not only the camera) in cyanogen or miui!

I think that would be no problem, because I payed for those apps as I bought my SGS and if I use this app on my SGS nobody can say something...
The camera app should not be in CyanogenMOD or MIUI but a flashable apk for those who want to use it on AOSP-ICS for SGS would be a nice thing.. I will try a little bit around with this

S3 or S2 stock apps

Hi, I am currently running a JB Rom[CM10 port] which has gotten rid of all the stock apps, such as: stock gs2 music player, video player, camera and gallery.
I dont mind not having the stock music and video player but I loved the stock gs2 gallery and camera. So i tried looking for them on the forums but none of them were working on my rom, the one thing I could get to work was the TouchUX launcher. So if anyone can tell me where I can find the stock gs2 or even s3 gallery and camera app that will work on this JellyBean ROM i would really appreciate it

Download Camera JB+ from the store. That, when installed, will give you separate camera and gallery apps.

I already have it. I'm looking for the stock Samsung Galaxy gallery app that will work on my S2 with a JB ROM

Question about camera and clock apks from 4.2 aokp

Hey guys I am on the 4.1.2 ROM. I have the 4.2 gallery2.apk from the aokp release. Is this the only apk I need to put into /system to get all the functionality of the 4.2 camera and gallery? If not would it alone just allow me to take photos (I have other apps for panorama and HDR)
Also what is the rom app name on AOKP for the clock/alarm app on 4.2? I can't seem to find it under those names? Is it DeskClock.apk?

Yes, the clock should be deskclock.apk. If you search, there is a flashable 4.2 camera floating around. No promises of it working, since it wasn't designed to work with 4.1.2, but it's out there.

If anyone is reading this I had camera problems especially with msm_camera wakelock killing battery. Flashed the camera from Task's 4.2 and it works flawlessly.

[Q] What are your Paranoid Android mods? Battery, CPU, modded DPI apps? [Q]

I flashed 4.2 gapps and is working. Camera is perfect.
Update :REC don't work unless it's front camera, found I could flash original gallery2.apk from PA2.54.zip that adds the original gallery and camera app and allows recording (2 gallery and camera apps) I don't mind it.

4.2.2 Gallery on 4.1.1 TW Rom??

Anyone other if its possible to install just the gallery from 4.2.2 on a 4.1.1 TW Rom and still use the stock camera?
Just wanting to know because I like how the image editing is built into the 4.2.2 gallery. I like bring able to take regular pics and edit later.
I know I can install a 3rd party app to edit photos in, but I'd like to simplify things and just use one gallery/editing program.
Don't even know if this is possible, just throwing it out there to see if anyone knows if it can be done.

came across this from last summer. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1728308 requires root. except this is not 4.2 aosp. someone would have to extract the 4.2 gallery files to make an apk/flashable zip that would work on TW while still not affecting the camera. anyone with more knowledge than me?
