UCALH1 MMS W/ Red S3 Love

When choosing a Messaging background to go with my Garnet Red GALAXY S3 I found that there were none in a color to go along with my phone. Recently started doing some personal themeing and wanted to fix this issue for myself so, I share with you today: My modified SecMMS.apk.

Disclaimer! I'm not responsible for any damage you do to your device attempting this very simple (and common) procedure, REMEMBER TO ALWAYS BACKUP ANY CHANGED APPS, in this case ONE APK.
Directions:
1.Download SecMMS.apk from the link provided
2.BACKUP YOUR OLD SecMMS.APK LOCATED IN /SYSTEM/APP (You can do this by just adding a .bak after the .apk extension)
3.Copy downloaded SecMMS.apk to /system/app
4.Set permissions to rw-rw-rw-
(sometimes a reboot is necessary)
5.Go to settings in the Messaging application.
6.Change to your new background and enjoy.

This is currently working on my I747 running the Nostalgia 7.4 rom. I have not tried it on any other phones or roms. I assume you'd have to be running a rom based from the UCALH1 leak. So, let me know if it's working for you guys and remember to always make a backup.

Note: This will probably never see an update unless I receive the same request from lots of people.

I've stopped working on this theme but later when I'm not busy ill find what is left of it and put together a zip for the toggles and update the mms apk.
Edit: sooner rather than later, OP has been updated with new secmms link and the link for a flash able zip of the toggle mod. Also, the secmms has been updated with red emoticons.. I think.

[MOD][CM9] Jelly Bean Style Notification Tray, dead links fixed!

Well, this actually isn't my work. I just modded it a little so it looks more like Jelly Bean's than the original version (the original creator is the best!). It's CyanogenMod 9's SystemUI.apk that is modded by nitinvaid from Samsung Galaxy SL Thread. Here is the original source.
TESTED ON CyanogenMod 9 Beta Build 1
The differences with the nitinvaid's?
- Better settings button layout, it won't fly at the right side. It will be like the CM9's stock
- Dropdown bar has the same color as the notif. tray background
- When the notification comes, the statusbar background won't be changed into grey

after you put it to /system/app and then tap and hold SystemUI.apk, select permission, and mark like SS below

I think yes. You can try and make sure you've been backup your current rom

Thanks dewag, great work you did there. But why did you change the toggle became transparent? For me, it looks so disturbing when I pull down the status bar while I'm writing a text in a white background screen and the text appear in the toggle. Like on this pic.
Edit: IT'S THE THEME PROBLEM. WHEN I CHANGE THE THEME TO OTHERS THEMES, THE TOGGLE TOGGLE BACKGROUND BECAME TRANSPARENT. BUT WHEN IT APPLIED TO SYSTEM THEME (OFFICIAL THEME) , IT WORKS GREAT. GOOD JOB. BUT ANYWAY, IS THAT POSSIBLE TO APPLY THE "BLACK" BACKGROUND TOGGLE IN OTHER THEMES?

Installed your theme and here is some feedback:
Screenshot 1:
- Battery indicator is ICS blue when loading or connected via USB.
- USB-Debugging icon is to big for my taste.
Screenshot 2+3:
- WIFI icon in the stausbar is not stock, looks like the one from HTC Sense.
- Some elements here and there still ICS blue and not themed.
- The on/off indicators (e.g. for WIFI and Bluetooth) could be smaller.
Screenshot 4:
- Screenshot icon in statusbar is blue. Some elements to dark for black backround - hardly visible.
Still a brilliant theme. Thank you.

Yes, i flash only theme. I tried couple of times, finally got booting phone. some of apps was themed (mms, calculator, dictaphone), but systemui, phone, contacts give FC.

Restorer
I like the red theme and am currently on flash. When I want to again have the orginal theme, there is also a theme restorer, or simply your Rome flashes her about it, or do you play the nandroid backup from what you have created before?
Some themes I saw a theme restorer. So my question is whether it is also the theme for this?

You could try searching for the files as per Spanaa's instructions in his thread?

It's nice :good: I wonder if you can just change the bubbles color of the stock cm11 MMS? Kindly refer to the attachment for the bubbles color (credit to @Adi Aisiteru Reborn) Thank you.

Normally, this mms.apk has no bubbles. I inserted them by adding xml files...but it was in my plan to do a stock mms with just the bubbles...

So the color of stock mms (sent/ received) can't be change unless you add bubbles?

It's for cm11 but you can try though. If you're having fc, check this [MOD][CM9/CM10/CM10.1]MMS,Transparent & Holo, bubble style ( No Avatar / With Avatar)

nope, man. For other versions of cm exist a lot of mod of mms. Since kitkat, the mms has changed, so this is the first rom which works with a kk rom xD hte link by dec0der is what you looking for

exactly. I could try to put in the mms.apk just a colured rectangle, but i don't swear you nothing about its working.

Nice mod. But how do I install it? I can't seem to find mms.apk in system app to replace.

The file in attachments below is the best. I found it after a long time of searches.
Download it. You will love it. It's beautiful and amazing.

Just push to system/app, overwrite the exist mms,
set permissions to rw- r-- r-- and reboot.
