Hi everybody. I will be getting a new phone soon since my e4gt screen cracked. It still works fine, touch screen still responsive just very badly cracked on the right side of screen. So im considering donating it to some dev out there.
I figure its my way of giving back.
I dont know if its covered under any kind of warranty but I dont care cause sprint coverage is horrible so im getting something else.
I also have an extended battery
So is anybody interested?

I do development for thus phone and I'm often needing a tester phone. I'm a single Dad and need to maintain contact with my kids to o. Right now I'm using my own personal phone to develop on. Check out my latest jb black bean with jelly rom. long as the phone boots normally and all the buttons work.. cracked screen doesn't matter. Hit me up on gt gtalk if it's still available. That's very kind of you. I suggest giving it to a real developer, and not one of the many Team <Whatever> modders. Modders just change apps, add a 3rd party launcher and some skins/theming, and tack on someone else's tweaked code. The real devs tend to have a github where you can track their code. There are only a handful of real devs remaining, the rest are "developers."
You could try asking chris41g, marcusant, aprosamurai, toadlife, bbelos, or people on the CM team first. I'm not sure how active these people are on the GS2, some may have moved on to newer devices.

Best Devs and Themers bar none can be found right here.
As someone who has trouble holding onto a device for very long (as referenced by me many times already) I've since found a serious love for (addiction to?) custom ROMs and themes. And here at XDA there are so many to choose from that every time I flash a new one I feel like I have a whole new phone in my hand. Usually by now I'm beating back a major craving to buy a new device but for once, since my smartphone buying days started, I'm content with my phone and okay to wait and see what's next. (just hate hearing about it for months in advance lol)
I hope you know the tireless work you guys (gender non-specific) put into these ROMs/Themes does not go unappreciated. If I'd paid more attention to XDA in my OG EVO days I might've avoided the mistake that was EVO 3D and enjoyed my OG EVO until my upgrade (the E4GT) became available.
Major kudos to all of you and thank you, thank you for your hard work and dedication.
Well said, my wife seen some of these roms and the themes that go with them then looked at her stock e4gt and finally told me to root and install blazer 4.1 ROM with ics sherbet theme. Now she has a new respect for xda and all the hard work these devs and themers put in for us all.

I feel ya. My girl just installed go launcher after three months and couldn't believe all the different things she could do. I know its bad of me to not mention it to her sooner but just like noobs in the forums, I knew I would be doing double time to help her. This way she moves into it at her own pace per se. I know I'm in for it when ICS is released. Even though it will have the same touchwiz feel, I can see that the reversed "ok" or "cancel" is gonna be enough to open a can. If you know what I mean. Lol.

I agree. The Et4g made me want to contribute. Everyone is friendly and they are a bunch of funny smart asses (You know who you are) Lol. I actually feel like i fit in. Plus is bar none the best SGS2 device across every other carrier.

HI everyone. I am a noob to android. I love to flash roms like there going out of syle. But i also love to figure out thing no matter what its. So here it goes. I still have my OG but screen is cracked and LCD is leaking. It pains me to turn it on and see it like it is. I'm gonna need some testers that can provide log cats and that know what they're doing and also don't mind wiping their phone at random notices . Hey I'm Sam some of you know me some of you don't but I'm looking for a developer /themer willing to teach me some things about theming/building ROMs I've been around the forums a little over a year. I flash ROMs quite frequently so I know what I like/dislike about ROMs etc. I can usually troubleshoot any bugs/problems that occur I help people when I can A short version of my story goes...I'm 30 years old have one child a boy Tyler 6 and I was badly addicted to drugs up until about 2 years ago I spent a month on life support and decided my son needs his father and I gave up using. I'd be lying if I said it was easy but I keep my mind busy with work my son and Android.I love the fact that its open source and xda is a great community where people share their knowledge and help each other out. Android/xda have been a very Huge role in my recovery I have 2 years clean!! I got my first android phone 2yrs ago and since then I've been flashing ROMs and following threads. What I'm looking for is basically someone who wld be willing to sort of take me under their wing and teach me how to theme/build my own ROMs I would really like to be able to give back to the community that had more or less saved my life. Someone that will spend time on gtalk etc. Sort of showing me how to do these things I am very eager to learn all I can I work nights so I'm free early mornings between 7-10 am and all weekend if you would be willing to help me just pm me please I've read tons of stuff but I'm the kinda person who learns better one on one I'm always changing my home screen and enjoy theming it with other peoples work but I feel I have some great ideas that I would like to be able to contribute myself.. I read the reviews. People say its good for beginner's, but most said if you ever flashed a ROM before, then you don't really need that book. Most said its for people who don't even know what ROMs or root is..

It covers theming and dissection of ROMs as well as Linux commands it is a lot more advanced than just rooting. I read it cover to cover any moneky can root a phone they don't need to write a book on it.
If you grab the title of it go to Google and append eBook or PDF to the end you might be able to find the book or a sample chapter so you can read it online see if you like it before you buy
