I flashed alot of Jelly Bean ROM like the PACMAN ROM which uses alot of RAM that i only have below 50MB of RAM left.. All roms work the same and i'm afraid the SlimBean would happen the same... Can anyone tell me how much RAM the SlimBean ROM uses?

If you're talking about the CM10 Slimbean I can tell you its great, But just to be sure you have to try for yourself. But remember to go Pristine on your change if you want maximum stability the ROM itself have to offer. The battery life is tremendous I'd say.
I'm a mass flasher so I already flashed most CM9 and CM10 ROM. But I can say that for CM10 Slimbean is absolutely wonderful. And lot's of Slim mods available at the Slim site.
If you are talking about ram, I think all the jb roms use almost the same amount of ram, if you want more ram, you can try forfivo's maxmem kernel which kind of breaks your camera or you can just simply buy a new phone

Ok, I want to try do the Pristine way but i'm just scared that when i accidentally make a mistake, it will most likely brick my phone... If you tell me to backup, i tried restoring a backup once but it says MD5 MISMATCH....
But i will try get the CM10 Slimbean... Thanks anyways :cyclops:
P.S: I tried it without the pristine way and really, its not great...

I believe that flashing a Rom from CWM would never hard brick your phone. If you got soft bricked then just connect to the computer from CWM insert the files you want and flash them. Hard bricking could be result Odin flash or trying to install a custom recovery.

If you already have installed CWM, the steps in 'Going Pristine' won't ever be able to brick your phone.
*except*
if the ROM's/kernel's updatezip is corrupted and/or malicious and/or risky.
Stick with ROM that does not attempt to do risky things (e.g., replacing baseband or bootloader), and all should be brick-free.
Good luck!
EDIT: BTW, please change the thread's title, it always make me LOL

Hello guys!
I recently bought a Desire Z and I want to change my ROM cause the one I have one is slow.
I have Android Revolution HD 6.3.3 (actually I installed it) but i think it's a little slow. I had before stock ROM and I was smooth and really fast but the backup got corrupted and I couldn't restore.
So now I'm searching for a Sense ROM that is fast and doesn't lag. And instead of trying every ROM I thought you might help me.
My phone is rooted and is S-OFF so if you have any suggestions I'm ready to flash .
Thanks in advance!

with affinity, you wont be able to play games like temple run because its the most ram consuming rom ive ever tried, and i tried them all.
energy a bit better then affinity, but being sense 3.5 you wont be having more then 60mb free ram after some using.
i dont think you would like sense 4.0a roms either because of the poor battery life and screen glitches related to 3.x kernel.
imho, untill the 3.x kernels gets fixed and optimized enough, sense 2.1 is the best sense rom we can have.

Course if heavy android gaming is your thing, then I wouldn't recommend Sense at all for the rom on such a phone and rather something more along the lines of a AOSP style rom (aokp, cm, etc).
PS: The 3.0x kernel roms are always going to be slower than their 2.6.x counterparts.
I guess at the current time, if it must be Sense, shoudl go with something based off of Sense 3.5 or earlier (3.6 onward is ICS). But even 3.5 is considered reasource heavy, hence the 2.1 btrst mentioned.

Yeah i did a full wipe...actually i do it everytime i flash a new rom. It might corrupted the zip while downloading so i'll try again. Oh and btw...whitch one you've tried? the one with root and busybox or the deodexed one?

There isn't stock JB for Toro or ToroPlus.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1827986
this is the best rom i have tried. after flashing it i have no reason to flash anything else. completely stock aside from a reboot menu, sms split (which some people report it bugged but it works fine for me), and some optimizations. the thing is snappy, buttery smooth and absolutely rock-stable. not one reboot yet and everything just plain works. just be sure to format data/cache/system before flashing.
take it from a former crack-flasher: i haven't found a better rom for any device i've owned.
The best is the one everyone is using. And each person is using a different ROM
What does that tell you? They are all best!

Hi and Thnx Guy,
I actually rooted my Desire HD for the first time using HTC_QuickRoot_1.1.13 after unlocking bootloader via HTC site. Then I flashed CWR via flashboot using cmd on PC.
After that I just placed the GimmeABreak ROM on SD card and flashed via CWR. Oh and it was stuck in HTC screen after this and after much reading figured out that I had to flash the boot.img via PC.
This is pretty much all I did. ROM works perfectly fine. Except I saw that the battery charges pretty slow. But I read that it takes 2 or 3 charge cycles to get optimum levels. BTW I saw an app that deletes battery stats files and recalibrate it. You think it would help?
Cheers mate.
maybe you can try wipe battery stats under CWM recovery..but i don't know if there are in CWM menu..
or maybe you might also try installing another rom..
hopefully can help..

Hi Jeamy,
Ya I just did that. I will wait and see. As I am a newbie here, I was wondering how can I harness the best battery life out of my phone. Because that's one reason of rooting and using custom ROMs in my opinion. I'm very happy with the first ever ROM (GimmeABreak) I'm using and how can I go about tweaking the phone to get the best battery life?
Thanks

There's a multitude of ways you can increase your battery life
First off, buy an extended battery, they're around £20. It helps a lot!
Underclocking helps a lot, especially when the screen is off. l usually set my phone to run at 300 MHz when the screen is off and also force it to use the conservative governor. When using the phone I usually set it to 700 MHz so it wont drain.
Undervolting is good

No....what i mean with the Nandroid backup is backup Nandroid image through the Recovery that you used..like CWM, 4Ext recovery, or TWRP recovery..there's a backup option in the recovery menu it self to do backup all your android system and data that you used..
hopefully you can understand what i mean..

Samsung galaxy ace II [GT-I1860] JB help/ questions.
hey everyone today ive decided to make a thread for the galaxy ace 2 Jellybean users to help awnser your problems and lags and what causes them, and to ask my own questions...
JellyBean 4.1.2 (Stock rom) having tried this rom ive currently found no problems other than that horrible lock screen,
if you switch it off / lock it (via the power button) and then switch the screen on again and you get a black screen
thus so disabling the usage of lock screen/sleep does anyone know how to fix this or am i just flashing the wrong/unstable rom...
if you have a stable rom for the ace 2 (GB & JB) please share :good:
