I have this problem when I've downloaded apk and play is trying to install app.
Translation - installation on mass storage or sd card is not possible.
What can I do?

Factory reset fixed it for me.

Duh, i was thinking about workaround or sh*t, not just re flash...
Sent from my R800i using xda premium
Factory reset is not equivalent to flasing.
Sent from my R800i
Yeah ik but either way I'm going to lose all my stuff which I don't like.

No need for factory reset.
Go to settings/Applications/manage and remove installed applications
Look for Google play store
Clear data for play store
If that doesnt work. Go to settings/privacy
Run "settings reset " . This should solve the problem without erasing your data
If those two dont work
Uninstall play store
Download an old version of play store
Let it auto-update.
Click thanks if this helped you.

Hi all
I've installed Mildwild on my desire and I'm loving the rom.
Only problem is that the play store app crashes every time, think its a force close error but it disappears so fast I can't see it properly.
Any ideas?
Have tried some modded play store apks and the original a couple of times. When I install them they work for a few minutes then the error occurs again.
Its a strange one and I'm stumped!

Have you tried uninstalling updates and clearing the cache? This method worked for me.

Which cache would I be clearing here?
Will uninstall everything related to play store and try again.
Thanks again.

By uninstalling updates I meant for the Google play app not the apps downloaded from the play store. Clear the cache and uninstall updates through Settings > Applications > Manage applications ( or something similar ) and tap Google play.

Check the attached images if you need help. Currently I'm running ICS but it should be similar.

Hey, I've got the exact same problem with the current MildWild 4.4.
I'm doing a completely fresh install, partitioned the sdcard with 4ext (newest version), did the factory reset + cache/dalvik wipe, flashed MildWild, linked my google account..aaaaaaaand.. play store crashes. Undoing the update + deleting cache didn't help, sadly.
I've read about installing the 3.7.11 version and downloaded it, but I can't just install it regularly and am not sure how to do it via adb or anything :/
edit: Nevermind, got it. Turns out root explorer isn't as scary as i thought
anyone having this issue? I get a error on free apps. Just started happening.
I'm on my phoe and can't or dont know how to attach a pic.
error processing purchase is the message I get though.
Try clearing data on Play Store under Settings> Applications>All. I think it also helps to clear data on Google Services Framework, and a reboot might even be in store. I've had it happen a few times and after different combinations of the above it seems to eventually work again.

I am having the same issue, I just updated from CM9.1 to CM10, I tried deleting cache and data, but nothing worked. When I try to update or download any app, play store crashes. I am using wt19i (LWW, coconut)
Re flash gapps, if that doesn't work then wipe and reflash ROM

Every time I try to download a game it gives me an error with code "498" I tried looking it up on Google but didn't find anything useful. It seems that it gives that error only when I try to download apps/games which have larger size than ~15-20MB. Any help with that problem?

You have tried to clear cache and delete data? Long press the play store icon or go to settings apps. Or you can try to clear cache and delete dalvik cache in cwm. If that doesn't work you can reflash your rom without wipe/factory reset and if that also doesn't works you can do a wipe/factory reset and clear cache and dalvik cache...works for me. Btw do you use an app2sd script?

I have used different ROMs and it still is like that. I don't use any app2sd scripts. Clearing data did not work.
Maybe it helps if you delete some apps, I think the storage is the problem. There may be enough free space for an app, but sometimes Google Play says there's not enough space free on your phone, I don't know why.
Good luck!
Download marketfix (felipe aron made it) in google play. It works for me!

install link2sd and your space problems (if it's an space problem) will end
Sorry for my bad englisch
I do not work this way. Cache partition is too small, so it does not update the 1-2 months after the larger applications. Is there a solution? 498 error code, or "package file is invalid" error message is.
To increase the size of the cache partition somehow?
(use google translator).
I got the "package file is invalid" error only if I had space problem but that other did not say anything for me

Every time I open the play store I get an error that says no connection. I've tried changing the date and time, clearing data on play store and Google services, tried deleting the app and it's file then wipe cache/dav then re installing and still not working. Anyone have any suggestions, I'm running the newest jedi rom.

I was having that same issue with that same thing. :banghead:
Anyhow I when into recovery, wiped C/d cache 2x each! Then reboot, install app
http://d-h.st/nNi
You also need to double check that the app is in your SYSTEM. With root explr, then you can go back into recovery and wipe both cache again. For the hell of it make sure it's clean!! lol
Try and open it see if it works??
Mine actually didn't til after I then went into too root explorer. Went into system, app, locate the file. Click on it the hit install,, everything is good now. Don't know why it worked that way but it did.
Tried this other (inverted) one I found and it installed right over the other one with no problems. http://d-h.st/lj8
And it's a lil quicker to me.

Hi guys
I am getting an error 927 when trying to download or update apps. I have the latest version of the play store, with the new design and all.
People are saying it has something to do with the developers servers and all but no apps are downloading, doesn't matter which developer made it.
Have you tried wiping your cache and rebooting?

It could also be an odex file with same name as play store.
Just rename file by adding a 1 save reboot and try.
I had this problem with a single app because of a odex file I used root explorer to rename.
