just create a partition on ur sd card and install link2sd and move every user app to sd card (expect super user & busy box)

If you have a class 4 card or above and using a custom kernel I'd like you to use Int2ext+ after making an ext4 primary partition....
Link2sd is also a great alternative but many find it annoying that it atill shows low memory thingy sometimes...
If you are using any CM rom i'd want u to go for int2ext for sure. If you need any more help you can check the new here post in my sig...

Move apps into sd card during root

Hi excuse me, I use .587 fw. I saw some apps couldn't move into sd card. So, I want to move apps into sd card. But, I can't. I'm rooted now. So, what should I do ? How to move some apps from internal storage to sd card for all ? Please respond

I use link2sd or titanium backup.

Does it affect my sd card or what ?

nope using titanium backup (for me) doesn't affect your sd card whatsoever. be sure to realise that some widgets won't work afterwards
The great thing about using either of those tools/apps is both give option to move to Rom.
like all g apps can be moved to system giving you more internal space, the apps still update and those updates can be moved/integrated into Rom..... But word of warring leave about 15mg free in system or it can crash and give fc's

[Tester Needed] s2efix -> Making your device support S2E :D

Hey guys,
I'm one of S2E translators (Italian one ) and I'm proud of my job; I'd use anytime S2E but I had problems with ext corruption.
So, I managed to obtain a little script to avoid this.
For me it works; it's written to avoid ext4 tunefs tune up. If someone could test (use s2e without and with the script) I'd be glad.
So, here it is: s2efix
Waiting hopefully for testers and reports.

Yup!
But I think that your CM7 has already that fix.
Can you check if is present in your '/etc/init.d' folder a '02gio' file?
I'm sorry... But as far as i know, cm already support for S2E right?
Using it always on my phone before i know other script....

Yes of course, S2E only works on cyanogenmod. But sometimes it doesn't works well on some cyanogenmod based rom, I had it my self, sometimes after reboot I can't open my apk and it's has weird icon. And I'm gonna share this on my group, hopefully there is some one there that would test this
About the init.d folder i checked but actullay i didnt mention tht the rom i have is a port from ace so it has 02cooper
Edit: Do I have to flash this zip to avoid corrupt of ext?

Old versions do note have tunefs and so no ext corruption.
For lag, on my Gio works like a charme with also data2sd.
Maybe depends on sd class or on a too big ext...

So what your suggest for ext size? I usually partition it to 1GB for ext4 on my 8GB class 10
1gb for ext it's to big for me... Imo..
I just set only 600mb, and it's enough for me...

Well i think so, but I think it is nice to have a "1.00 GB" letter on internal storage lol
Depends on your needs, I use a 512 mb ext.

Backup everything, in order to restore later, with a nandroid backup.
Your sd-ext must be ext4.
After this:
- Wipe all
- Install CM7/9/10
- Boot into phone
- Install S2E, configure it with ext4
- Reboot, so it's enabled
- Try installing some apps
Theorically it'll lags like hell.
After wipe and do all the above but flash CM and my fix.
And, please, report logcats.

This will be out of the topic . Every time I do restore, my sd ext reverted to ext3. Is it just me or everybody else experienced the same thing?

You don't have to move/install anything manually. Based on the ROM you select apps/app data/ dalvik cache etc will be moved automatically when you flash the ROM or when you activate the a2sd script in the ROM.
Read the ROMs opening pages carefully to understand how this works on each of them.

It should do everything itself

[Q] Transfer APPS to SD

is there a way to change where apps are installed?
instead of being installed in internal memory it will be installed on sdcard
i read on other forums that APPS2SD does not work for our s3
Try this method. It may be a solution to your request.

[Q] Exists a fully working way to install apps on external memory?

I have a 32GB microSD installed in my phone and I'd install apps (such as games that need to download many gigabytes of data) on it instead in the "little" internal memory. I tried memory swap mod that swaps the internal with external memory but I have some issues...
Directory bind works very well on 4.1.2 but if your on a 4.2 rom you'll have to use folder mount. Both just move the data to your memory card rather than the app

You could use gl to sd root from Google play
