What we need?
1. Galaxy S3 (i tested with Android 4.1.2 XXELKC)
2. CWM (touch 6.0.1.2) dont use TWRP
3. File manager (like root explorer)
4. Wallpaper of your choice (720 x 1280) >>>> you can grab for here >>>> thanks to wiecho65 to post a wonderfull post of wallpapers!!! http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1935632
5. Download the UPD_universal_S3.zip >>> http://www.mediafire.com/?qth21jyf2adwcb1
This mode change: Dialer, Contacs, Settings, Calc and other things
How do we install it
1. Make a back up of your rom (recommended)
2. With a file explorer search for the UPD_universal_S3.zip and extracted (look in folder / SpeedSoftware / Extracted)
3. Look for the background of your choice, changed the name to tw_background_holo_dark.png, copy it >>> is important to copy the background and not move, because we will use it 2 times!
4. Move to folder / UPD_universal_S3 / vrtheme / system / framework / framework-res.apk / res / drawable-nodpi
5. We search the background or image again and changed the name to background_holo_dark.png and put in the same folder> UPD_universal_S3 / vrtheme / system / framework / framework-res.apk / res / drawable-nodpi
6. We see that we have two files in the / drawable-nodpi folder
7. Now, we look for the folder called UPD_Universal_S3 We let down the folder and choose: compressed as a Zip
8. Now, we changed the name of the zip, such as UPD_war_S3.zip (example)
9. Pass the .zip folder to the sd and flash via CWM

To put a custom image in the notification bar
Is the same procedure; the difference
1. Change the name of the image to > back.png (only one image here!!!)
2. Put the new back.png in the folder > / UPD_universal_S3 / vrtheme / system / app / SystemUI.apk / res / drawable-xhdpi
3. Is the same procedure as above

Thanks for your effort , it's a great tut. But I see that this only change the settings and dialer background, not fully change icons etc. A fellow XDA member, I think it was bala gamer, already post this tut on how to change the settings and dialer background by doing the same way. Maybe you should make it complete by telling us how to change icons and others?

You have to do the same steps of the first mode, but with only one picture and change the rute of the folder.

We all know that Android from ICS+ provides big beautiful contact images that are visible, obviously when someone calls us...
While all this is good... I noticed multiple ROM's extending the black screen below the animation over the image to display the subtle call accept/reject animation. And now that's not a good thing... bear with me, "personal opinion"... So here is a guide to get rid of this...

Its a fully transparent Dialer mod. It was tested on CM10 and should work on any ROM in theory.
PS: Don't forget to mount /system in recovery... Just in case.!
Requirements:
Java Development Kit
APKTool
AAPT
Notepad++
A Brain [Necessary]
Android SDK [Not Necessary]
Steps:
Done on Samsung Galaxy S GT-I900 Running Slim Bean v2.1
Install JDK and prepare system. [Doubts Click Me]
Prepare a folder with apktool.jar and aapt.exe, Lets say C:\APKTOOL
Extract the framework-res.apk and Phone.apk from the ROM package and move to the same folder.
Right-click while holding the shift button in the folder to open command prompt in the target folder.
Or navigate to the folder you are currently working using

C:\Users\mnazim\> cd C:\APKTOOL
Install the framework by using the below command.

C:\APKTOOL\> java -jar apktool.jar if framework-res.apk
Decode the Phone.apk using the following command

C:\APKTOOL\> java -jar apktool.jar d Phone.apk
Wait...mmm... K...
Navigate to the folder thus created

Copy the apk to /system set permissions and reboot. [Create backup in case. Rename the old one to "Phone.apk.bak" ]
Or make a flashable ZIP and flash from recovery. Use this as a reference.

A little off topic, but do you have any idea about how to change the blue background where it says "Incoming Call"? I ran across this because I thought incall_call_banner_background was it, but it sure isnt Any suggestions?

Please try installing the SystemUI.apk along with framework-res as it may solve some issues.! Will confirm and inform ASAP.!

( i only unpacked the zip file and moved the apk on this folder )

ok here is may (working) way to installl:
1. unzip the analog clock folder -> copy the "deskclockgoogle.apk"
2. use a root explorer to navigate into ur system to the app folder
3. delete the old "deskclock.apk"
4. paste the new apk ( set permissions to read and write ) and rename it to "deskclock.apk"
5. reboot
6. now paste the clock widget on ur homescreen
7. done

hm i get what you are saying, i deleted the clock apk and just took the apk from my rom file, i can open that one onto /res/drawable... but when i try to copy the 3 pictures in it it says deleting zips is not supported
edit: Hm now i can copy the 3 files into res/drawable but nothing happens it still shows me the old clock.
nvm ill wait a few weeks lol, thx for the effort tho

Sorry, what I meant was...
1) pull your rom's DeskClock.apk from /system/app.
2) copy my png files to destination folder using 7-zip or other program.
3) then push back apk to /system/app...

I made this mod for the S2 so you'll have a White Multiwindow like the S4. You can also choose the text color that you like from the list below. New: Transparent S4 Multiwindows with 25, 50, and 75 % transparency!
Update: I updated the Original Post with a new FlashBarService.apk that works perfectly and without FC. So if you already downloaded the old one, please download the new one and follow the same installation process.
Update2: Thanks to MrDarkos95 for creating a Flashable.zip for my Mod. So, if you want to flash directly from CWM download the Flashable.zip attached below.
Update3: Added a collection of S4 Multiwindows with Custom Text Colors. So, just choose the color you like and flash through recovery.
Update4: Added Transparent S4 Multiwindows with 25, 50, 75% transparency. So, just choose the one you like and flash through recovery.

Guide on How to Change Multiwindow Text Color:
1. First decompile the FlashBarService.apk using apk-Tool.
2. Go to AppListWindow.smali which is located in smali>com>sec>android>app>FlashBarService and open it with notepad.
3. Activate the search function (ctrl+f) on you computer and type the word color. You will find 6 sentences having the word color.
One example is :

4. Now you have to convert the hex color you want to a new format. For example, the text color of Multiwindow in the S4 is 3d3d3d and in the new format it becomes c2c2c2. Follow this guide to convert:
0 Becomes F
1 Becomes E
2 Becomes D
3 Becomes C
4 Becomes B
5 Becomes A
6 Becomes 9
7 Becomes 8
8 Becomes 7
9 Becomes 6
A Becomes 5
B Becomes 4
C Becomes 3
D Becomes 2
E Becomes 1
F Becomes 0
5. After converting, replace the number shown in red in the above code with the new number that you converted. Do the same for the 6 lines containing the word color. After finishing don't forget to save.
6.Now, go to AppListEditWindow$AppListEditAdapter.smali (This is for the text in the Edit Tray) which is also found in smali>com>sec>android>app>FlashBarService and open it whith notepad.
7.Repeat step 3 but now you will find only one sentence with the word color. Then follow step 4 and save.
8. Finally, recompile the FlashBarService.apk and add the META-INF and AndroidManifest.xml. Don't forget to zipalign.

It's ok no problem pal! What I know is that the Multiwindow is very sophisticated to port. It is deeply embeded in the system and it is related to framework-res, FlashBarService.apk, Services.jar, and maybe other lib and jar files. When I made a white multiwindow for the Note 1 and Note2, I did not port them because they where already part of the system.
Anyway, I will do some more reading about that and will inform you. I presume that you have some knowledge in development and porting stuff, right?
Update: I added a White S4 Multiwindow in the original post and the Guide is moved to post 2. Hope you'll try!

An FC stands for "Force Close". It occurs when an app suddenly closes and shuts down and a message occurs that tells you that the app that you are using has stopped. It's ok pal, you are new and you will learn with time. We all where new once!
So, please try pressing the multiwindow divider or the buttons near it and report if an FC occurs.

1) Download and extract the
sample.zip by root explorer.
Extracted folder (sample) will be in speedsoftware > extracted
2) Now open folder sample you should see two folders: one called "system" and one called "META-INF".
3) Let's start with the "system"
so open it:
In there, will go all files that what
you want to add or replace to the
system. So let's say for example that you want to replace the bootanimation.
4) Make a "New Floder" in sample> system > newfolder* ,name its as "media" *(make sure its aint in CAPS nor with in quotation marks)
5) now simply move the file in
their respective place:
the bootanimation.zip file should go in '/system/media' folder
**If you have more files to add, just follow the logic above; I'm sure you get the idea by now..

7) if ur work with that folder complete then zip that folder.
8) now open ZIPsigner
-choose input
-Give address to ur zip u have created
-Give address to output where the flashable zip will be saved!!
(as explained above in SIGN APK)
9) Choose auto-testkey as key.
10) press Sign !!

Link updated in guide!! u can also download zipsigner by clicking here!!
In many cases there is no need to change updater-script !! It can only edited by notepad++ or high end text editor for android 3.0+ !!
But any one add his/her signature in updater-script then that signature will appear while flashing that zip!!
So its important to don't change it if u don't want another's signature in ur zip!!

Editing update-script is really necessary for flashing zips like pushing/replacing apps in system and you can add there an auto-mount feature. Anyway, nice guide. :cheers:

Its easy zarchiever allows us to add or remove files from a zip you can just edit a flashable zip that works on your phone to add the files you want and delete the ones you dont want. And then jst sign it using your method.

Copy "SecLauncher3_ESS.apk" to "system/priv-app/SecLauncher3_ESS/" and replace it and set it permission to "rw-r-r".

1 - DARK
Download
Copy "SystemUI.apk" to "system/priv-app/SystemUI/" and replacee it with old one and set it permission to "rw-r-r".
2 - LIGHT ( Nougat )
Download
Copy "NougatUI.apk" to "system/priv-app/SystemUI/" and set it permission to "rw-r-r" and remove "SystemUI.apk".
Briefing
Download
Copy "BriefingSamsung" folder to "system/priv-app/" and set the folder permission to "rwxr-xr-x" and set "BriefingSamsung/BriefingSamsung.apk" permission to "rw-r-r".
Samsung Music

Just flash by TWRP or other recovery.
S7 Weather Widget
To get Galaxy S7 Weather Widget, you have just go to Play Store and download XWidget App, after you download it open it and search for S7 or S6 Weather and you will find many widgets, download what you like
